Thank you Luna and Monda for posting what the notice said. I missed Luna's recent post by minutes.
TDAmeritrade does have notification that there has been sent a snail mail notice about a special meeting. But there is no hint what that meeting consists of.
I don't use scottrade as my broker so would someone mind pasting and copying the proxy statement to this board please? TD Ameritrade has nothing about it. Thanks so much.
Could someone please tell me what the proxy vote ballot says or requests? Thanks. I live in the state of Washington and haven't received mine yet.
Thank you, Tank!
I don't want to give false hope, but the only reference to this AFTC meeting in February, according to the TDAmeritrade representative, comes from this IHub board. The wording is suspect. If it was from Kathy, she would never have spelling Its as It's. She's a reading specialist and knows better, as I am. Perhaps someone is trying to scare us so they can buy a bunch of shares on the cheap. At this point, my shares are only worth about $4000 so I think I'll hold on and see what happens.
Unless I am terribly unobservant, there are new postings of the first two quarters of balance sheets and profit and loss statements for 2014 at www.altfueltechnology.com, investors link.
, I used to watch Car 54, where are you?
Monday, from your message 60 messages ago or so, you said the police were involved and that is why Kathy hasn't posted the latest info. Do you have any idea what the police have to do with anything re AFTC? Sincerely, nmeacham
Monda, you seem to be able to have private communication with Kathy. Perhaps she is sick, like I am, and is feeling too under the weather to do her report. I know you will pass on to us any tidbit of encouragement you can glean from her. Thanks
Unless it's my imagination, I think AFTC updated their website when the site seemed to be out of order. I believe I see new material on this page: http://www.altfueltechnology.com/index.php I am very hopeful for the companies future.
Thank you for the links.
Lars Larsen, talk show host, would love to know the energy content of DME compared to Diesel, and possibly other fuels. Does anyone have any statistics backed by reliable sources that will answer his question? I will forward your info onto him. (I called and contributed to his broadcast today re carbon emissions in Oregon.)
I was the one who snatched up the 100,000 shares at .0014 today. I don't understand why someone would want to sell them at this point, especially when the last sale price was .0019. I am hoping that this will turn into a nice profit.
Perhaps if the paintings were signed by a famous military person, or the subject was a well known airplane, etc., that might help sell them as well.
Just tweeted the following and feel free to copy it:
Best fuel you don't know about: http://tinyurl.com/mrdpft9 AFTC makes pump to put DME into diesel engines. Military likes AFTC. Hirisk/hi reward
I forwarded this link to AFTC for their awareness if they weren't aware already re the upcoming DME conference request for abstracts.
I get stock ratings from this site occasionally. This one is for AFTC. I hope it copies OK but they gave it a +100% rating.

My late fiance also had a government grant for a product. He said that in his experience, when a product gets past Phase II and gets started on commercialization, the price per share usually goes to around $2.00. So I wouldn't sell too low if I were you. Perhaps putting in a stop loss once you have made a tidy profit might be the way to allow for a greater profit if your broker will let you.
Thanks for the feedback, Sleeper.
So Sleeper, does this news mean that Phase II is successfully over, and now Phase III contracts are being worked on with possibly the Army and Civilian interests? I really appreciate everyone's due diligence and your willingness to share it. Praise God for this potential gain is coming at a time when I really need it, as my husband is dying of kidney failure and a couple other recent problems. Do you have a link to the report? Thanks again!
Thank you very much for the education on the market makers. Hope we hear more good news soon.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I read the news release to investors on AFTC's site was that the Phase 2 testing would be done by December 31, 2013. That is no guarantee that the government will be quick to sign contracts on the same day. So I don't want anyone to be disillusioned when contracts aren't immediately forthcoming.
When you refer to NITE and the other CDsomething, are you referring to people or companies?
Sleeper Stock, I for one really appreciate your research and links. Every day I catch up on the correspondence on this board looking for any additional information. I think AFTC is very promising. Please keep up the good work. Sincerely, nmeacham
Pardon my ignorance, but when an individual buys 100,000 shares such as they did this morning, does that mean that someone else had to sell those shares, or were those shares just part of a public offering through a brokerage firm?
It wasn't me selling at those ridiculously low prices. Why, the commission alone costs more than you'd get from the shares. I'm in it for the long haul, for better or worse.
There were buyers, with myself being one of them. There just weren't enough sellers willing to come down to my bid, which I see as a good thing.
I tried to find a chart site which would give me the entire aftc history since its inception. I couldn't find that, but I DID find a ten year chart here http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/aftc/stock-chart?intraday=off&timeframe=10y&splits=on&earnings=off&movingaverage=None&lowerstudy=volume&comparison=off&index=&drilldown=off I conclude that there must have been a stock split because I don't recall that the AFTC price has ever been above $48 a share, even though this chart says it was at $350.00 a share.
I don't know if this link will produce the same result I saw, but I put in ALL DATA and yearly to try and go back as far as possible. In 2008 the stock price was apparently at or above $2. http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/AFTC/charts?symb=AFTC&countrycode=US&time=20&startdate=1%2F4%2F1999&enddate=9%2F11%2F2013&freq=5&compidx=none&compind=none&comptemptext=Enter+Symbol%28s%29&comp=none&uf=7168&ma=1&maval=50&lf=1&lf2=4&lf3=0&type=2&size=2&style=1013
If I am not mistaken, when AFTC was an IPO in the 1990's, it was selling for $48 a share. Its precipitous drop began in 2001 when then President Bush decided the government didn't feel DME was a viable alternative fuel. At that time they were into solar, wind, and hydrogen fuel cells. Times have changed and now DME is looking pretty good. I think we are looking at multiple dollars per share with good news. I first heard about AFTC when I was doing a search for news about Ford for my son. On the front page of the online TDAmeritrade was a news article about Ford Europe testing AFTC's pump on their vehicles. I have been interested, and a stock holder, ever since.
Thank you Luna and all the rest of you for your research and answers which are reassuring. I decided to set up Coverdell Educational Savings Accounts for my ten grandchildren a couple weeks ago with AFTC stock and was able to get some good deals.
Pardon my ignorance, but if I'm reading things right, AFTC has a little more than 500 million shares, right? And thank you for the encouraging words that there is a lot of activity at the AFTC building. The low volume today is a bullish sign to me.
I asked Jim McCandless via phone several years ago if he had a backup plan in case he died and he replied in the affirmative. I first noticed AFTC when I was looking up information for my son on Ford. AFTC was mentioned as working with Ford Europe at the time, about five years ago or so.
RGUS has over 30 non-disclosure agreements with the Fortune 1000 company, according to an RGUS representative I talked to on the phone. The RGUS engine design seems very similar to the one my late fiance was working on, but he died in his sleep. Our country is finally ready for something like this. The rotary motor that my fiance personally tested in a 1957 Chevrolet achieved 172 miles per gallon during the 7000 mile test drive. I have no idea if the fuel efficiency for RGUS's motor will be the same, but since the design seems similar, and the patent is now in the public domain, I wonder if it is the same one. My money is on it. These things take time and money. The Fortune 1000 company is contributing the money for all these latest rounds of testings, fine tunings, and fabrication I believe, so finally a company that can really make it happen is involved. I hope I'm not being foolish for being very encouraged.
I noticed some talk about pumping up the stock. My experience has been that I noticed this AFTC company after I read an article about Ford Europe last July on the front page of TD Ameritrade's site. It was about AFTC's pump in their test vehicles in Europe. So I bought some AFTC. In the past, when I put a stop loss on something, it would get stopped out, only to multiply many times over within a few years. I hope this encourages some of you to hold on.
