He's a tool.
and a whore for hire.
(exercise price, say $20 - strike price) x100 is the gain per option. Option price X 100 is the cost.
So
maximize (exercise price - strike price - option price)
This excludes effects of trading costs, which would probably be inverse to how far out of the money a call is. So far out of the money calls might be cheaper but incur larger trading costs to make the same gain.
The point of my post, which you grasped and then dropped, is that anyone can make any argument regarding returns on investment depending on the starting point -- so the proper point would cover a long period, not a cherry picked one, and approximate Dr. M's period of influencing the Company. That period has not been terrible, but it only approximates an overall equity market return, and has not compensated for either single company risk or the general risk of a pre-revenue biotech....yet. To try to paint it as a great investment, as you did, was dishonest.
Let's hope we are on the verge of changing this in the fall.
C'mon T, don't act low IQ
AVXL has been a lousy investment over the last 8 years according to you. That is an indisputable fact.
So your expectation is that it really should go up to $130 to $300 a share. Wouldn't that make Anavex a stellar investment. If it happens.
So building a position when the share price is low is a bad idea when the potential for stellar returns is possible? No one said that. It would be a good idea to do it now, if you think AVXL will deliver. It's wasn't really a good idea 8 years ago. Better to have put the money in an index fund and buy more shares now.
Get it? Got it. Good.
This is HOW:
DEPENDS: Surprise.... It's the end results that count. When the share price is at $50 are you still going to be dissing Missling?
If that is $50 on a Rett approval, that's a decent, not great start (Should be $130).
If it would be at $50 after Rett and Alz approval, then hell yes that would be terrible, since it should be $300 at least by then.
There have been no short attacks in a long while
because new information of substance has been nil.
Short attacks are short downward movements.
What we have is the slow rot of lack of real information on any progress
100% management's bad.
Groundhog Day:
LOL - And it's about doubled in three years.
Well if we are going down Cherrypicker Lane, then go back to 2015 at least. Essentially ZERO return then, and if you bought in the reverse split runup, you would have actually lost money.
Be honest already (know it is hard for you govt types) but the fact is that this has been a no real return investment for 8 years running, and the last 2 years have been terrible, despite all the "progress" we hope we are seeing.
very soon for NDAs and approval implies this year.
none of the 7 milestones even mentions an NDA, so approval is impossible until NDA filed.
So very soon is simply wrong.
opinions may differ but stock price doesn't lie
lost over 2/3 of its value in 2 years.
Groundhog Day: List of milestones reads like 2022
Last year we got results (barely) on 1 of 6 milestones. 5 missed.
7 milestones this year, will be get maybe 2?
Same old same old same old Groundhog Day rare disease tease.
Nonsense
let's hope Chinese dont rush approval and scoop our glacial management.
There's a difference between a 20% retracement and a stock price collapse.
Are you saying this stock is only worth $7 and change?
If yes, ok, that is your opinion.
If no, then I am right.
yes lots of presentations and milestones and promises
where's the beef?
data and proof are what is needed.
stock is in a death spiral ????
What do you call a fall from the mid $20s to under $8 in just two years?
you heard?
you weren't even there
LOL! management needs to deliver
on its promises.
endless delays a sign of biotech problems.
Go take a long walk
off a short pier.
3 months since that meeting.
Where;s the beef?
Clearly the market doesn't believe Missling
Not cabals.
Total lack of convincing evidence re alz. Where is the full data promised soon?
Glacial execution on Rett.
Endless missed deadlines and milestones.
Sitting on PD results for years now.
Rare disease fairy tales.
wonder how many got that reference?
AVXL stock price is a dumpster fire.
Bueller? Bueller?
Raja has the skill set to make plenty.
Expert trader.
Pays much better than sniping.
LOL, sounds like camping, Raja!
Forests, farm animals, kerosene lamps, nature calls, cabin in the woods. Americans would pay big bucks for that experience!
Although the possibility of a tiger on a potty break may be a bit more excitement than some would want.
Nonsense, we are talking about processing data faster, not much additonal cost. Your $1 billion up front is a made up number, provide the specific items or admit it is a fake.
No, you just attack other posters with the same mindless attacks. Please just skip my posts if you can't handle them.
Canned sniping on your part makes you look like a Karen. If you dont want to complaln, keep you mouth shut Karen. I am a shareholder and free to have my opinion without you crying.
Time versus money needs to take into account the lost years of maximum revenues on the back end due to glacial pace. 2-3 years of $5 billion profits lost isn't marshmallow money.
