BAM RACING SCORES A SMASH HIT WITH QTRAX.COM
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 5, 2008) – Today, BAM Racing team owner Beth Ann
Morgenthau announced a new marketing partnership with Qtrax.com, an internet site
that is poised to have over 25 million songs which anyone can download freely and
legally. In development for over four years, Qtrax.com provides a safe alternative to
internet music piracy. Qtrax.com will be the primary sponsor for BAM Racing’s No. 49
Dodge in the Budweiser Shootout on February 9th.
It is estimated that 25 percent of all Americans with computers have downloaded music
via the internet, however up until now, those downloads have been questionable if not
outright illegal and some estimates for illegal downloads exceed 100 Billion,
Qtrax.com’s strategy to monetize music downloads through internet advertising has won
the enthusiastic support of artists, managers, record labels and publishers.

NASCAR veteran driver Ken Schrader will be behind the wheel of the BAM Racing
Dodges starting at Daytona. The team intends to compete with the veteran Schrader for
the entire 2008 season. The Budweiser Shootout is a specialty race for the Bud Pole
Award winners from the previous year. As winner of the Budweiser Shootout in 1989
and 1990, Schrader is automatically eligible to compete. David Hyder, crew chief for
BAM Racing says the team is looking forward to the extra track time, “The way that
qualifying works at Daytona, if you’re not one of the three fastest cars outside of the top
35 in points, you have to race your way into the 500. Running the Shootout will help us
fine-tune our car and be our best heading into Thursday’s Duel 150’s.”
