(NYSE AMEX:XNN) announced today that revenue for the first quarter ended December 31, 2009 increased 255% to $1,255,000 compared to $354,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 2009. Gross profit increased 265% to $584,000 compared to $160,000 a year earlier. Operating expenses decreased 29% to $989,000 compared to $1,397,000 for the first quarter of the prior fiscal year. The net loss for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 narrowed to $405,000, or $0.02 per share, compared to a net loss of $1,296,000, or $0.06 per share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2009.
"During the first quarter we made further progress in our cost reduction program even as we devoted substantial resources to the development of new and enhanced versions of our NightHunter high-intensity illumination systems and SuperVision high-definition night vision devices. We also expanded our international distribution network. While our progress has been slower in overcoming the many roadblocks we have encountered in the military procurement process, we believe we are making headway in this effort as well. It makes sense as to why they lowered earnings. They knew about the recall on the ZAGGsparq and knew they would not hit earnings without the product. It seems extensive, however. I hope it does not have a bigger hit than they expect.

I received a call tonight from ZAGG. They are contacting everyone who bought the ZAGGsparq. It appears that some units are not holding a charge. They stated that I will be receiving an e-mail as to how I can send the old unit back if it is not holding a charge and they will send me a new one (mine works perfectly).
it makes sense now as to why the ZAGGsparq is on backorder.

You can't comapre the two. One comapny has been in place for decades and the other for just a few years. and in thise few years, they have never proved themselves to sell much of anything. Until the recent change in commercial, the current commercial was only in place for a few cycles on cable. Very different from the pepsi example

No revenue for the past year, sales numbers never released from the last 2 PRs dealing with commercial releases, new ad compain and new commercial. If everything was running smoothly there would be no reason to change and Adam would have released sales numbers not the size of the container of the new new order
ZVTk is not the real deal. Big scam. Marketing never worked. That is why they just switched. Current commercial was a BUST. Adam never released numbers, just size of the carton of new order

The funny thing is, we shouldn't have to be trying to figure out the numbers and guess how many bulbs have been sold. Adam should simply make an announcement. With the lack of PR one has to guess and wonder why sales numbers have not been released. Makes one believe things are not going well
More delays
The ZAGG sparq has been sold out for about 2 weeks. They are not taking orders for a backlog. You have to put in your e-mail and they will tell you when it is back in stock. The ZAGG box was pushed back from Q1 to Q2. Too many delays that are having a negative impact on EPS

The PR after the infomercial was very lacking. Gave no indication of sales at all. I never came across a company that stated that they just ordeed more, but only gave the size of the box and not the actual number of bulbs.
Sales is everything. Product does not sell company does not make money. They need to be very clear as to what was sold. I don't care how big the box is
