This bad boy is now valued at $13.5 million (market cap).
Read 'em and weep, sukkaz!
My investment is now worth $510. I am so excited!
(I'm a long time holder and occasional lurker. Saw what was happening the past few days and checked out the board. Yes the sarcasm is dripping.)
Good luck everyone.
You haven't taken the loss yet?!
Excellent post!
I always thought the telecos were more apt to hang their collective hat on regulation to assist them. The cable companies seem to be a bit more inovative and not resting on their laurels. (Though I personally use DSL for my high-speed digital portal.)
No offense Ken, and I hope you are right, but if you did loan NVEI money then IT IS our business as most of us are shareholders of this publicly-traded company.
I "loaned" NVEI a few thousand dollars by purchasing diluted stock. Does that count?
"There were no revenues for the three months ended July 31, 2003."
I was too subtle! [eom]
iOwnSomeNVEI, if you think that past dilution was a problem...
"Im (sic) talking about from when we were at 24 mil OS till now. I guess we are neer (sic) 70,000,000 OS ?"
Just wait and see what a HUNDRED MILLION shares (or so) will do!
And I'd love to take you up on your offer of sending me back to school. Are you paying my way and salary?
SP1, you must have missed the dripping sarcasm in my post!
Just because an additional few hundred million shares are authorized doesn't mean the company will actually issue any of them!
(too bad this board doesn't have an "eye rolling" icon)
Can I have a hit? LOL
Cosmo, my recollection is that NVEI gets the first two million of profit, then the Browns and NVEI split the rest 50/50 after that. I'm not sure if the distribution deal affected that arrangement, and maybe my memory is lapsing.
Does anyone else know of the financial arrangements?
Estimated Revenue for SIL...
Here is my conservative WAG at expected domestic box office take for SIL...
40 theatres * 200 seats/theatre (smaller art houses) * 70% of capacity/show * 4 shows/day * 21 days (3-week run) * ~$8/ticket = $3.8 million
Hopefully there will be a buzz once it's released and open in more theatres, but if not, I can't see SIL beating $4 mil in ticket sales. That's still not bad for a documentary, though I must say that the small number of theatres is disappointing.
SIL on "Talking Movies"
Those of you with satellite TV or expanded cable may get BBC America, which airs a program called "Talking Movies". In this week's show, they had a feature on the Tribecca Film Festival and highlighted a handful of the documentaries that were shown. SIL was one of a few that were highlighted. It probably got about 30 seconds of air time. Apparently, there were 80+ documentaries that were part of the festival, so to be one of a handful that got mentioned hopefully bodes well for SIL's market appeal.
If you get BCC America, it may be on again in the next couple days.
I like your spin and hope that you are more-than-less correct!
You better untape that duck or the SPCA, PETA,... will be on you like white or rice.
Kids, don't make me come back there!
News from OTC stocks are slow to disseminate It will take some time for this news to reach the telecom investor community. Consider this a buying opportunity, even in the short-term.
Work those contacts, Panda! [eom]
In the nick of time!
Not only is the release of the prototype huge, but it was officially shipped out the door in 4Q02. This should help bolster management credibility as well.
lol Good One, NT! [eom]
I guess we have a consensus about 10Q. Siting at $0.53 right now with a low of $0.45.
