Not for me, in fact book value would be a great exit point for me, if it reaches and if I choose to exit. Not bragging, just saying after all these years of ownership I'd be more than glad to walk away.
Well, you got your dollar....congrats.
Well, you got your dollar....congrats.
Patience my friend
One last thought. I think mgt. just put a floor in on the share price and therefore have in effect changed the risk profile of this penny stock. Very favorable imo
I wonder what management believes what fair value is. As illiquid as the stock is can you imagine what deploying $1 million could do to move the price higher.
This subject was brought up during the last CC. Gene said the board was discussing the possibility, but it was brought up in the context of the sale of one or possibly two carousels, so I'm wondering if there might be something up there, and wouldn't that be good for the share price.
DPDW to repurchase $1 million in stock !
The trend is your friend...have a great weekend
Yeah....rosier but in a way more sober. I have to think we're near 52 week highs today for a reason.
Have you listened to the call, and if so what is your impression?
Just finished listening to a replay on the CC and I REMAIN ENCOURAGED this stock can move much higher, which after all is what we really care about. We might even see a stock repurchase event given the net cash available. I was surprised by the number of questioners and to me suggests there is real investor interest at the possibility of capital gains. For me, book value is a realistic price target in the next 12 months.
Thanks for taking over the moderator position. Regardless of the bad vibes present here I personally think the outlook is promising. Good Luck!
Can anyone give shareholders an idea of what this contract might be worth? I don't remember a press release announcing a contract without some monetary figure included.
If you are correct and they have a cash balance aproximately equal to their market cap then the market is presently valuing the business for nothing. If a real profit is in the cards then the present stock price is to say very very cheap.
We really don't know what the buyer has planned, but i suspect the price of oil is not a factor. Maybe an amusement park?..who knows. It's kinda counter- intuitive that this stock could flourish now in this really bleak situation.
Very bullish imo uncle and believe it or not looks like they have gotten their act together. A clean balance sheet is paramount in this environment and should attract another class of investor. Book value or bust i say.
A growth AND value proposition. Wake me up.........no don't
I SERIOUSLY think this contract COULD be the transformational deal that brings credibility to this company in the eyes of the market. One large contract begets another large contract.
Bad luck and bad judgement
Exactly, they ventured outside their little box and the rest is history
Can you imagin where we might be if they had only stayed within their core competencies years ago.
Spec, you should know they can't dilute without a waiver by Whitney. As well, I have to assume their customer vetted them before placing the order. However, judging by the markets reaction their are alot of sceptics out their.
That's gene with a G
13 million congats to ron and jene glad for all longs
34 million in backlog vs. 30 million last quarter is impressive imo given the environment they face. Small but consistent profitability is the name of the game for now. Let's see what the CC offers.
I think so as well
48,000 bidding this morning. Someone sees a path to capital gains.
What might they know that we don't ?
Can't wait......thanks
I second that nomination!!!!
Spec, if anyone is going to have the gravitas to call for an SEC investigation or to initiate a lawsuit it will in all probability be one or several of the PIPE investors. I can envision one of those two possibilities to be the catalyst that sets in motion the end-game, that being some form of change in control. I just can't see this situation continuing without some of these parties reacting. IMO time may not be on management's side. BTW I too have lost patience here and would love to put this multi-year debacle behind me, even if that requires booking a loss, which in any outcome will surely exist.
Call me crazy, but suggest this company could either be acquired sometime this year by another O&G service firm, or is taken private by private equity, to later perhaps return to the public markets. I look for two dollars plus to shareholders. Ron and Gene should see this as their best option in the new landscape. Of course, I don't expect many, or any here to see this possibility. The entire energy sector is in flux and plenty of talks will be underway between the have and the have-nots. JMO
Welcome my friend to the bitter and dejected faithful. I recently posted the same opinion, but alas no one at the moment gives a hoot.
I don't recall them ever announcing any work in the North Sea anyway, but I could be very wrong. Yes, I wake up every business day looking for that elusive large contract. At the moment they certainly can't justify the expansion, but time will tell.
Nice article Uncle. Frankly, gives me a better outlook and provides a strong backdrop for DDI to outperform most land-based service providers, IF they can control expenses and grab their share of work. Every metric says this stock is way under-valued.
My Christmas seems a little merrier this afternoon. Best wishes to all long suffering holders.
50,000 @ .70.....maybe we've hit rock bottom.
Check out the new LD Micro presentation given last week in L.A on the investor page. It's not new news to the long suffering throng, but it does demonstrate they are attempting to generate more interest. Also, interesting to hear them say the low price of oil will have no impact on revenues in the next several years, certainly not how the market has voted with their stock price. Their explanation for that very important question I will leave for those interested in listening in. Personally, I'm still waiting for that big contract-you know tis the season for miracles.
I'm holding and agree one buck is probably the floor. We just need a large contract to change sentiment and begin to look like a growth story like in days long past.
