gg: I keep up hope from all the pieces of disjointed "facts" that may or may not have some relationship to BSTI, i.e., the various BioShields that are cropping up. The truth is that if all that is attributed to Mr. Tim Moses is correct then he is made up of equal parts----untrustworthy, unreliable, and irresponsible. I have not seen one thing that would lead me to believe that things are changing for the better. All the PRs are for nought if he can not be trusted to keep his word. He can not be believed. I won't repeat the promises that he has made. Heck he can not even keep a website up-to-date. This basic PRs regarding his course for the company should not be part of the forward looking statements. If he says he is creating a website in various languages that is not beyond his control.
Some months back I made a comment that BSTI was headed for its all time low of .06. This was met by skepticism by fellow investors. Efforts by the group to ferret out positive information and prod Tim has done little for the price of the stock. There has been a palpable erosion of price, .01 up, .0105 down, .0125 up, .0150 down. I think you get my drift on this.
This company is not in the widgets business such that every misfortune can be blamed on the economy. From what I can see, it did not do much better, focusing on the microbial side of the business, back when any stock could fly high. The real culprit here is inept or unfocused management. As is said, "in the final analysis, it is the management stupid",.... borrowing and modifying a Clinton era phrase.
gg: How far back was this and at what price. If we are looking at something out of context to the current situation, the fact the Mueller participated in an IPO for BSTI may not mean anything.
I get a little frustrated when we speak about PRs and that sort of thing because when we do get a PRs, guess what.....? I bought my last averaging down at .17. May of us thought we had seen the of .06 opportunities but we are hovering at the fringes of that number.
For my part on things to talk about. Tell TM that we understand that there may be things which he is powerless to change in the short term. However, when he does not do the very basic things he promises in the spin PRs, i.e., the website in various language, and BioShield's own website updates, then there is something definite lacking. There has to be a point at which excuses are just that excuses. There has to be responsible leadership and accountability. Problem how does want communicate these issues to someone that would not appreciate either. That, however, I am sure, is not one of the weaknesses of our leadership.
7notrump: I too have taken note of the lack of posts and wondered if the BB was temporary unavailable. I am concern about BSTI because regardless of the PRs the stock keeps slidding some.
On the somewhat positive side, I did finally check the patent listed in PetStop products, at least the two the I purchased. The patent, 59544869, was issued to Mr. Moses, Mr. Efresy, and a third gentleman. That is the only way BSTI is associated with PetStop.
Since you and I are the only posts in the last 24 hours, let me ask a question. Just before closing work, I checked on another BB stock that I owe. It has been hovering in the .20-.25 range for a good while. It closed at .20 today with about 11,000 shares traded but then in what would normally appear the after market action, it shows that 18,000 shares traded at .82 up .62. Is appears promising but in similar situations the stock opens at .20 and never mind the up .62 from the day before. What is the logical explanation for this?

Is there a place to look at discrete units of 5000 that sold at a given price from the list in the link?
A few weeks ago I received a couple of Direct America products --- Fabric Refresher and the carpet cleaning product. We had tried several different carpet cleaning products that were supposed to work well. The stain never came off. This morning I finally got around to trying the product. Sprayed over the stain until slightly wet, let it stand a couple of minutes, rubbed and worked the product in, then I rinsed the wash cloth again. IT WORKED! Could not distinguish the formerly stained area from the surrounding area. The carpet on this guest bedroom was less than one year old so we are very happy to see it restored. I have not tried the fabric refresher.
Thats a positive for BSTI! And, I am assuming that it is a BSTI ingredient in the product. I have not checked the patent number listed on both of the products that I bought.
Are we going back to the RB model for this BB?
Could Wilson, and others, maintain a high stock inventory by buying when the stock is low, selling high, and buy again on the way down? I know, or think I know that there are limits but it could stretch for a long time. Could it?
NoMo: Not addressed to me but selling does not appear about over with our dear friend Wilson LLC. Just registered to sell 3,000,000.
I received an alert from bizjournals.com today in which BioShield Technologies, Inc.,was "featured"? Anyway, no specific link was given unlike the case for other companies. I worked on it for awhile but was unable to find the report. Any thoughts, anyone?
I get frustrated at times myself. No news for a long time then a news release produces nothing, perhaps a slight decline. I am in there for a long time though mainly because I do believe in the potential to BSTI products. I keep hoping BSTI will catch fire soon and shedd its lackluster performance days.
gg, thanks for the email. I'll try to understand it later.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I had ordered some of the BSTI product a.k.a. PetStop distributed by Direct America, L.L.C.
The package arrived today so I have not taken the opportunity to test the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner nor the Fabric Refresher. When I ordered, I was interested in the ingredients, i.e., BSTI patented, mention of BSTI, or anything remotely related to either of these. Let me tell you what I have found.
- The shipping tag is from Direct America, 6655 Sugerloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA 30097.
- The customer satisfaction return label is to PETSTOP, 4910 Longley Lane, Suite 101, Reno, NV 89502.
- Both containers are 34 Fl. OZ/1005 ml (2.12 PT).
- Both labels contain "Veterinary Approved" but do not say by
whom.
- Both have a copyright Direct America 2002.
- The Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is trademarked New Pet Stop; the Fabric Refresher has the Pet Shop trademark name.
- Both products have a CAUTION: keep out of reach of children. Do not spary onto edible food. Do not spray towards face or swallow. If eye contact occurs, rise with water. If swallowed or irritation occurs, see a physician.
- Only the Fabric Refresher has an ingredients statement. It reads: INGREDIENTS: Direct America brand hypoallergenic odor control agent, surfactant, mild perfume, and water. (mild is an understatement, I have the containers in front of me and the aroma is far from mild. Then again it likely wasn't meant to keep in front of your face.)
_ This perhaps is the most important part of all. BOTH HAVE THE SAME PATTENT NUMBER 5954869.
- Again nothing regarding BSTI.
- Wow, it should also read, "CAUTION: USE ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED SPACES." Neither of these two bottles have been opened and by being in the proximity, I feel that I can taste the stuff all the way to the pit of my stomach. I am taking the stuff outside.
Your thoughts.
E
gg, anyway you can reduce all of that to some plain English. Just the bottomline kind of thing?
Thanks for the information from my part. I ordered the room freshner and am waiting for it to arrive. Glad to hear BioShield is listed. I passed on the data to a great indoor pet friend of mine as well.

Shares traded. Not much happening out there. Is this the quiet before the storm? If it is, hope the storm is up! Why is the number of shares traded so low (relative to its string of over 1M plus shares a session)? Not knowing enough about the factors that influence trading, at least not for BSTI, I would think that we are encountering a time of indifference for BSTI. It doesn't seem that a parade of PRs is going to help either so that likely buyers are sensitized to PRs.
Looking at the recent posts regarding BSTI products in the market place, it may help understanding why if anyone would look at the company partners nothing would be visible enough to suggest movement in that direction. Zellner for example is well established. If microbial is mentioned without specifications that describe it as a product of BioShield Technologies, Inc., it is unlikely that the connection can be made. I think that BSTI is giving away a priceless build in advertising by allowing other partnering companies to not credit BSTI with the development or by acknowledging that the product is licensed from and patented by BSTI. That is one hell of a partnering concept.
E
Karl_may: I will careful check all the labels to see if BioShield is mentioned specifically or if one of BioShields patented products is mentioned. I would prefer if both were mentioned, such as "contained BioShield AMT 500" (don't remember the product patent number). I would have preferred to order the carpet cleaner because I laid some carpet in one of the bedrooms and there is a good size stain that hasn't responded to regular cleaning. I will in time, time when it is available, try that one out as well.
Have a nice weekend.
E
karl may: I do not know about TV advertising. I have not seen any. I did look up the web site you provide. Thanks. I also noticed, as carrot did that some of the products were temporarily out of stock. I ordered the carpet freshner because it was available in the 32 ounce bottle at $20 something including shipping.
I guess not having enough product to sell, if sell is a strategy, is a concern. To me a greater concern is that no where in the website did I see BSTI mentioned. Maybe it was there though I just did not see it. I will check the packaging when the product comes in. So to close if the TV spot is the same as the website, it really isn't direct advertising for BSTI. We need direct advertising...period.
Also did you notice that as the number of shares trading picked up the share price dropped a cent or two, presumably after the TV spot had already appeared?
Irrespective of the drop, I put in a buy order for 500 shares just to round my total shares to an even 30K. Should the shares run up, that would make me happy enough and those holding substantially more shares would, I guess, be ecstatic!

Bio: My comments were generally addressed to comments about the residual value the stock of a company that is struggling and is hanging on for dear life. My comments, in essence, were to convey that such a stock would not command a premium absent other interested parties or clear profit potential. I read the same company PR about the $55M "contracts" though it is not entirely clear, to me, that included in the $55M agreements to agree rather in addition to legally binding contracts. But assuming (bad word) that they are hard contracts that will generate hard cash, BSTI's take is not going to be 75% that will go into the company's net worth. At best, from the $5M, only $2.5M will go to costs of doing business and other expenses. At current or last quarter rates, it could be more. But lets forget that for now, lets say all 100% went into company net worth. The $55M divided by the 60M shares provides about 96 cents per share value should all $55M come in one year (wow fantastic savings in overhead). If it comes in at a modest and more liking ramp up, say $5M a year over time, the share value goes down to 8 cents per year. Incidentally, MultVest (or is it VectorVest) lists BSTI's value at 2 cents. Back to BSTI, the difference between the 8 (or 96 cents) and anything higher would have to be goodwill such as generated by the type of activity "carrot" eloquently wrote. I like the prescription for growth.
I don't know what other products are in competition with BSTI's product and my hope is that BSTI is well established before any do command attention. I do not believe that BSTI's current patents will be the leading edge technology in anti microbials forever or even into the next decade. For that reason, my belief is that getting started now is a barrier to competition and product sales, lots of sales, will provide net income for renewal or development of other technologies. Makes sense too. Cost now will not be a deterrent forever. We are not talking about building airliners, jet fighters, or automobiles. I remember my first hand held electronic calculator. It cost about $375. Now something better than that goes for $50 or even less. Technological advances and mass production made the latter possible.
None of us want KBSI to sit around waiting for customers to come to our feet. It is better for BSTI to go to their feet and convince them that BSTI products are worth using.
By the way, Bio. I don't think we disagree in the essentials and hopes we have for BSTI. Mine are just as strong as yours. I want to be realistic as I look at the data. One measure of realism is that if we truly have a $55M revenue backlog why are the shares trading at only 14 cents? Surely, with that kind of backlog the logical assumption (bad word again) is that new business will pile up on top of the $55M in, as carrot says, an exponential growth through uses of KBSI product. The knowledge of BSTI product uses would spread like wildfire out of Narcoss, Georgia, east, west, north, and south? However, even wildfires have natural barriers and BSTI's barriers seem to be around Narcoss, Georgia. If knowledge has spread people do not believe it or do not appreciate the potential to a healty life the products could bring. I by the way, believe in the potential though at times I question that we are positioned to take that potential to fruition.

For me the bitter end is when an investor has crossed the point of no return in terms of salvaging any meaningful part of an investment. Piezo Electric's ticker is PEPI but trades at .001 and infrequently to rarely at that; the old Savin Corporation, in which my first buy was at 2 1/4 followed by me averaging down substantially on its death throes. It eventually declared bankruptcy, old shares were cancelled. New stock was issued for new creditors and incidently Savin copiers are again advertised. BioGas I lost the opportunity for a healthy $200K gain); it eventually became defunct and who knows what happened to it after that. In all shares, I salvaged less than 1/8 of the investment---the bitter end. I was disappointed but not bitter. I am hopeful that BSTI and a couple of companies will do substantially better. I like BSTI because it challenges the imagination as to what is possible with the product in a world of resistant bacteria and germs and the numerous uses that it can be put to use. Competition is emerging though not necessarily through microbials. Read last night of a company that has developed an ultraviolent process for the treatment of wastewater in sewage plant; sold the first to a Louisiana township for $100,000 a pop. So it really is about which company can establish its product first and gain widespread acceptance. If that does not happen it will be a long haul to dislodge the established product (product loyalty) even if the new product is better.
As to the other questions regarding the asset value of the corporation, I am SURE others on this board can answer that better than me. Yes patents have value but only to the extent that they can be developed economically and that the product is accepted in the market place. True, should a more capable company come across a struggling company, it may take over the company and/or buy its patents. But even assuming that the patent is worth a minimum of the costs of developing the patent, say $100,000 for discussion and further that the company had 4 such patents. Well folks $400K against 60,000,000 shares is not alot per share value. XYZ has little incentive a premium over to take a controlling interest much less take it over completely unless it is assured or convinced that it will make a profit. It also would help if other companies are making competing offers. Absent the prior scenarios, there is no incentive to buy -- my opinion.
Lets all hope it luckyus. And, that luck is coming our way soon!

carrot. Nice post. I have been with BSTI just a little over 5 months and a little less in the BB. I can have great sympathy for a person that may be having a hard time coping with losses. Just happened to be reviewing my investment history from way back. I've had big gains, great missed opportunities, but in the bottomline my losses over the years have out numbered my gains. Most of the losses and lost opportunities came from getting spooked in minor dips. However, I also lost on several occasions by holding to the bitter end, i.e., the old Savin Corporation, Piezo Electric, and BioGas of Colorado. BioGas of Colorado seemed to have all the potential in the world at the time, somewhat as some of us see BSTI.
I am holding on to BSTI for the year on the premise that 1) it has the potential to go up, 2) it appears that a capital loss would give me greater recovery than selling at this point. Until then, I'll keep an eye, try to learn, and yes enjoy the situation.

Glad to see a few members are coming back. Its been kind of skimpy in the posts area. I also hope BSTI comes back big and soon, if not in April then between then and the end of the year.
E
fishyete. What do you mean by new lows? Lower than the 52 week low which I think was .06?
E
Patience has never been my virtue and I have paid the price. My very first BSTI buy was 5,000 at .40. It fell to .25 and I sold. Next it begins to go up and reading all the news of potential, I bought back in at .56 (still 5,000). I have since bought 25,000 more and have decided to hold on until I see the promise of the company. Regardless of options, I will hold for at least one year and then take a look.
I am sorry I can not help but someone out there may be able to give us both help with some general guidance, albeit their educated opinion. I don't know that there is an absolute method even by people that are more adept at doing DD than we may be. I have sold early and late often enough. I have also made some fantastic/incredible picks only to sit on my find and lose it all. I don't mind telling you of one of my picks, since the company went bankrupt (BioGas of Colorado). The potential was there; energy crisis and generation of methane gas from feedlots (hundreds of cattle, sheep, hogs, goat, lots--you name it) and basically anything green. I saw enormous potential; huge possibilities. I bought in at 1/8 and had accumulated about 40,000 shares anywhere up to 1/4; then the company made a huge move to near $5.00 within one months time. That is where the stock price was when I transferred to Athens, GA fully expecting the prices would continue going up and up. I had an intermittent trip to Ohio. By the time I got to Ohio the shares had falled to below a $1.00. My first few days at Athens the stock started to move up again and I bought back in. Ultimate result, I lost the potential plus my actual dollar investment.
Sometimes we marvel at a stock going from a few dollars to $30, $40, or even more. Problem is that most people will sell after the shares have gone up a $1, or less, or a few dollars. Some "investors" like me will sell on a dip and lose out on that end as well. Only a few true tough investors are able to evaluate the big picture and they make gold from their investments. I am staying the course on this one.
Sorry about the long story. I just wanted to point out, in my own way, what many have already said. Get help in developing a stategy, do DD, patience, and invest only what you can afford to give up for the opportunity to make money. Particularly, when buying penny stocks or nano stocks. All of this is my opinion.
E
Companies attend conferences and seminars where their purpose is to promote their product/company. Ours does in the specialized research and development (software) area. I would think that this would be an exceptional opportunity to present BSTI to a field of hundreds of potential buyers, users, or licensees of BSTI product. Go for it BSTI! Do not miss the opportunity. That said anyone know or can find out if Mr. Moses or a representative will present the company there?
No posts since just after noon?
There are some 2800k messages posted to this more but it appears the interesting is waning in ECNC. The stock price is also waning from what I can tell.
I do have a question. An earlier PR said that stockholders on record on April 4, 2002 (check date, I am not positive) would received 1 share for each 100 shares of ECNC privately held subsidiary. Does anyone know what the subsidiary is or in what shape it is in? Is or will it soon be a publically traded company and by what name? Is it is better shape than the two cents (or slightly lower)ECNC share?
What does it do?
This is not about BSTI though it could be and in either event it will be educational for me. Maybe others. When its said that there are 34,000,000 issued shares but that the float is a mere 3,000,000, what does that mean?
biochemyst: Thanks! It was just a thought!
I've heard of possibilities for use of BSTI microbials as well as other microbials coming into the market that are easing dangerously close to competition for BSTI. If BSTI introductions of product does not happen soon it may become a situation of who is there first with the mostest. If that is the situation it could prove difficult for BSTI to dislodge the company that establishes its product first. While it appears that BSTI is moving ahead in that direction as seen from the PRs, the lack of specifics in the PRs causes me a little worry. Worry not because I am going to bail out or anything like that but because our opportunity may be diminished by BSTI not hitting the bullseye first.
Just a few minutes ago, I was reading an article regarding NASA being able to grown chucks of fish and others growing or experimenting with "growing lab" varities of chick, beef, fish (noted in the news pieces on compuserve main menu)(please no advertisement intended)for deep space exploration. One of the concerns regarding beef is that the process that induces grown in the laboratory could also pass on mad cow disease. Of course that being a problem in Great Britain, I got to thinking about possibilities for treating production equipment, sanitation stands, and other places where the product could be applied by praying in a spray. Just a thought. I can not imagine that the cattle industry in Great Britain or for that matter here and elsewhere would not be interested in this product. If it is not already being done some strong feelers to organizations such as the livestock industry should be flowing soon. If the company is unable to do it because of shortage of people than perhaps the alternative is to consider every stockholder a marketer of product information. Once the stockholder develops a lead, company professionals could pick up on the lead.
Just a thought.

Hello ECNC board. I am from a neighbor board on this Hub and was happy to find that ECNC also has a board here. Notice that postings are infrequent and at the same time ECNC stock is stagnant at .02-0.025 cents.
Any good news in the horizon?
NoMoDo: I was e-eduardo0 on the other board. Decided I didn't like that one.
I say to things come out, one over the weekend from pennyinvesting recommendation, and the the CEO PR to shareholders today. I was disappointed in that with two coming out together, I expected a move up but none came. I know that sources like pennyinvesting and others do not mean one heck of a lot in many cases. One stock that was featured in one said $13 stock by this June. Maybe, it will go that high but it must come from near .40. Enough there.
I haven't bought any recently but about 15K of my shares were bought at .50 or slight higher. The other 5K at mid 30s; and a final 1.4K at .24. I sure would love a great leap forward.
GG: My mistake and my apologies. I made my post in RB and it was not until today that I was travel N of Houston that I remembered.
Signed up yesterday with just a short message that I had. I like this format better than the previous Lycos RB. When posting there, I tried to steer clear of recriminating statements and for the most part played a positive role. I send out my $50 dollars for 4:45 PM pickup today.
In viewing the board today, I see that my post is not included. Mistake? System not registering all posts? Not processed until approval is given which I received today? Hope it is not that I am not welcome? If its the latter please let me know. Hurt feeling or not, I'll simply move on.
Thank you.
