Hi Mark,
I just bought a new desktop Windows XP without a floppy drive. I would like to move my AI ver 3.0 to this computer. Is there a way to move the license over a network connection or with a USB "thumb" drive?
Thanks,
Bruce
I all ready picked up the book. Guess i need to reread the asset allocation part.
Thanks
Bruce
how does this differ from aim ver 3.0?
Yes, there is a large overhang from its trading in the 20 to 30 range with a pop to 40. Plus waiting for results on the arbitration case on NiMH batteries with Matsushita. A win might give the shares a double or more, a loss might cut the price in half or more.

Well they still aren't profitable but they are closer with new joint ventures and no longer just licenseing their technology. Still a speculative stock but with potential. I'll try to think of some other canidates.

Bruce
How about ENER, Energy Conversion Devices http://www.ovonics.com/ holds patents on thin flim solar cells and nickle metal hidride batteries. They have a joint venture that produces solar shingles http://www.uni-solar.com/ and another jv with CVX ("ChevronTexaco In addition to ChevronTexaco's 20% equity stake in ECD, we have established joint ventures for the continued development and commercialization of advanced energy technologies. Our joint ventures are in the areas of ECD's proprietary Ovonic Solid Hydrogen Storage Technology, the Ovonic Regenerative Fuel Cell, and Ovonic NiMH Battery Technology.")
I follow this company and think it is worth a look.

Thanks again for all the help. I am going to spend a few days checking my cost basis, back testing my stocks and mutual funds to check their performance in aim and thinking about the market direction. Coming up with more cash is not a high probability senario at this time. Off to think.

Bruce
Thanks for the replies, i will check my 401k and see if i can start building cash in it otherwise i may have to plunder a stock or mutual fund position.

Bruce
Hi, I have been lurking and reading since hearing about this conversation on the Motley Fool about 2 months ago. I read the AIM book in the early 80's and just reread it and have read Tom's web site as well. My problem is that i am fully invested in stocks and mutual funds with no cash reserve and i am not certain of the best strategey for moving part of my holdings to Aim. Has any one else been in this situation and how did you handle it? I apologize if i missed the answer in a previous post, perhaps you could direct me to it.
Thank you,
Bruce
