Gezz, taste great! Put some in the mail!
Thxs, Lemonhead!
I think I will take my chips off the table in the morning.
Hope all is well...
Happy Thanksgiving!
Keith
Hey Boss, always a pleasure to be in your presence. I've been very much involved with work and family for the last year. I've never seen inflation (30 yrs) in the electrical business like this before, it is and has been a true challenge.
Raising a boy at my age seamed hopeless but now we are back on track and the future looks bright.
I had a brain fart for an electrical invention on 07/06/06 and have dedicated much time in this effort. I'm going to Vicksburg to present this to my POP tomorrow to get all the negatives out of the way before I spend the money to take it to market. He can piss off his back deck and kill a rattle snake 1/4 of a mile away.
Save your dime for down the road...
Keith
AIMster, 3 to 4 months ago I added KMR & KMP to my baskets. I believe KMR pays a dividend in shares and KMP in cash. Not long after I made this brilliant decision, management announced that they plan to take it all private again. What lies in the future for these? I haven't taken the time to evaluate...
Keith
Hi TF, there is only one "M" in Lemmon.. (grin)...
I sold FLWS to buy EBAY, got it around $10 and got out about $5.60. So yes I'm still feeding the Market in my own way.
"CREE", is the one I just keep accumulating.. Started at $35, then $23 and now $18. Gezz, get those "LED's" lit!
I don't have any "ETF's" but several dividend payer's. When I do make money on a trade, I add to the dividend holdings.

Hi Jack, I bought on Morningstar Recommendation. They moved at a much higher price. I've watched for about three months. I'll have to check their notes for projected earnings. I read some of their stuff Sunday and they basically said that the pendulum swung to high last year and to low this year. I believe they have Fair Value at $45 and I had it at $23 (JZGalt).
Keith
PS - How's the boss!
Hey Grabber, Just stopping in! To much going on for me to be a helpful contributor.
LemonHead
Just got 1000 EBAy at $24... What do you think?
LemonHead
Good point! Momentum usually falls foward!
Keith
Ray, I think I understand what you are saying. Don't know that you need to remove the safe? Just understand that the harmonic bands are very tight with stocks like Merk and Bud. Sometimes growth and income drown out AIM's volitility...
Not a bad plan cause they all get a hair cut sooner or latter. Load up on the latter and be patient for the next round. Accumulation at the best price is what Lichello meant!
FWIW
Keith
Boss, you are correct as long as it is one that you set up with the five alpha, they will delete properly. If it is an old file with three or four alpha, Newport states "File not Found" and dumps you out of the software when you hit okay. Another area that won't work with less then five characters is the "Note Pad".
I told a programmer what the problem was and he went in the back door of a file, changed it from three alpha to five and then deleted it. I made some notes, then a couple of days latter I tried it and got loss in the steps and was to embarrased to call him back.
Keith@puter.com
Coach, I don't think anyone knows how to delete a stock in Newport on current operating software. I have asked several folks.
It seams a programmer told me how to thru the back door but it was way over my head.
Keith
Jack, For all we know, he still probably has some inventory of meaningful memorabilia, i.e., AIM 2000 Caps and Golf Shirts, available for purchase by AIMers.
Not only do I have that, I probably have the largest inventory of "Secret Decoder Rings" in the universe. I thought I might send them to Tom so he wouldn't have to make another trip to the 7th moon around Juniper! But then again maybe I should just send them to "CodyPup" so he would have an eternal supply! <smile>
LemonHead@Mokai.com.
Thxs Tom, I think I'll be coming to the Coffee Shop in the morning. That email made a lot of sense and I think you owe it to the Group to post it.
2% Ain't that bad now that you showed me how to understand it. I remember getting some gas one night and the guy putting it in my tank had retired the same time as Eve, he said he lost his whole retirement with a broker in less than 14 months. So tell her to get off my ASS! She ain't pump'in no gas...
LemonHead
Tom & All, I appreciate the comments. It's just that the house has got bigger than the carpenter can manage by himself.
I want to say this to Tom and about him. I have had the opportunity to sit with him over dinner. The financial wisdom he has will over whelm you if you truely listem. Tom taught me about the pyramid and how the risk was measured differently from bottom to top. Fortunately by advice and accident my pyramid was pretty sound, I just didn't know and understand it. The fact is that the top of mine is the financial investing.
AIM is truely the answer with quality products. Yet like any tool it can be applied at the wrong time for the wrong reasons. I'm guilty of this. I drive 9 nails in with a hammer and all is fine and then I decide to try a cordless drill on the last one and screw up the mill work from one end to the other.
I figured my total return over the last five years and it is 2%, not because of AIM but because I keep screwing with the tools. I have the records in my Newport files, had I just stayed with my initial picks I would be well up in the 150% range. Hey, I'm male, human and I can afford to! I gotta tinker! But my head tells me that letting some one else handle the "liguid assets" will be better for the faimly in the long run.
I have stated how fortunate I've been. I was 30 when I bought my first store, I didn't own a house or a car, I was working for $5 an hour. I was able to establish myself very quickly and gain control of many assets. Like Iacocca said, I was shooting from the hip so much that I eventually starting hitting the target.
AIM fits my mind set like a glove. My business is about turns and earns. I have to turn the inventory 6 times a year to make a respectible profit. Six buys and six sells. AIM!
The industry had no price increases for over 10 years, then it started with steel moving in Oct of 2003. Now I can get any price I want for my products, this will end but for the moment it is my gain and your inflation. AIM the Tom Veale way!
I don't want anyone to think I've abandoned AIM or this wonderful society here at IHub, I follow the money and the cycle has put me back to the base, my TEC...
LemonHead
Gang, I've decided to get off at the next stop. I've been here roughly six years and my life as changed in many ways. I've been very fortunate to have been blessed in many ways and my business has called me back for one more go. Before the bubble burst, I was in high cotton... Money was falling daily from the sky. I didn't know at the time how well deversified I was. What I lost in the bubble was soon replaced by my realestate holdings. Now my businesses are generating again and AIM, Realestate and Insurance are again the benefits of my money machine.
What's different now is that I plan to let others place their hands around my assets for me. I figured out that I can do about anything, but I'm not really good at anything except selling light bulbs. Reality, yeah.. I'm not retired, yet!
My experience here as shown me that AIM works but even AIM has it's limitations. One must know when & how to rebalance or re deploy the investment, Can you? I have limited success so far.
Most of my indecision lies with the building of the Ponderosa, It is a full time job just with the up keep. I'm not bolstering but 125 acres is a big yard to mow!!!!!!!!
So, great things are on the horizon! Money follows those that work the hardest and know one works harder than me, believe me, know one!!!
I'll be lurking but most of the time I'll be playing, Life is unique and you can't buy back the time.
Respect for all of you...

Whew! I thought it was just me? Hadn't saw the "Free Newsletter" for a couple of weeks and figured you had replaced the editor.... I still think your subscription rates are just out of the park! Shame on you...

Hi Tom, I've had a bad case of cabin fever also... Been working on the Rokon's, one done and one to go...
The one that is done is one awesome tractor...
LemonHead
Jack, that is a great sample. The point I have tried to make is that you can not be forced into selling. Give it time and AIM will take care of it...
My Watch list shows that VNWK has recovered, the deepest diver of all that I've owned. Hang on!!!
Keith
Tom, a keeper post! Thxs...
Keith
Grabber, guess I better start studying the ETF's cause my stock picking has gone to hell in a hand basket in short order. If I could just be like Buffet and ignore the techs and stick with bricks and burgers.
Keith
AH, good post! I just did that with CREE! Jezz, waiting for everyone else to give up now so I can buy at the bottom with an AIM plan.
Keith
OT: Jack, How could you break a tooth drinking Rum through a straw? <smile>
Keith
Grabber, I just set up CREE in Newport. Now I have to wait 30 days to see what purchasing decides. Not really concerned at this point cause the history is very volatile and it appears to be very AIMable. Inventory seems to be acceptable and Valueline warned against the additional expenses incurred with the wafer upgrade. No debt (but you warned me about that with CHIC) and orders appeared to be booked. Problem is that most of the business is with three customers. Don't need any bad news in that area. I've only had bad experience when an acquisition is announced. Don't want to see any of that.
When did you say your next sell was in SNDK?
Keith
PS - Your tour of Goose Lake was in the 93 Land Cruiser, The boys took out the 2004 4-Runner that had less than 16,000 miles.
Grabber, I'm really surprised how the market is reacting to the numbers put out on CREE. Gezz, terrible call on my part. I really believed it would go the other way.
I took half the position I wanted today, looks like the remaining half will be at a big discount.
Lemon(bruised)Head
Grabber, what's with the "Good Luck"? Don't ya see the "LED" lights all around you? <smile>
I've got to do some more research, but I belive my last look showed they were putting on employees. Now that's a different stroke for a southern firm...
I got LEXR & SNDK both, lots of LEXR... Sandisk is gonna have to pull third best up the hill. Pull, pull, pull....
I was quite over New Years cause the boys totalled my 4-Runner New Years Eve. They were okay and no partying involved. Just driving to the skating rink at 7:30 and turned in front of on coming traffic. Sure screwed up my Fish Fry...
Keith
CREE, may have turned back? Time to let AIM drive the boat.
Thoughts?
Keith
Tom & Gene, If I can help in anyway to keep Newport alive... Then please contact me. Great program that just needs a little shinning...
Keith
Hi Don, Thxs for clearing that up. Guess I just went trough the wrong door. Wonder how I managed that?
Been a while since you posted...
Merry Christmas

LSGBX - Purchase info: Min Initial Investment, IRA: $250,000
Yup! I guess I'll take two and I'll throw in the 2004 Rokon to cover the commissions. <smile>
Keith
Hey Gang, the wife wants a raise so I need to find another dividend payer for her IRA. Any body got some I should do some research on? Currently she gets income from ACG, BUD, CEI, HYF and HYV.
TIA
Keith
Don, That is a very nice card. Happy Holiday's to you and all the fine AIMer's as well.

RE: CEI, Value Line shows that Rainwater (Chairman) purchased another 247,850 shares on 12/1/04. At $18.12 - $18.20, that is roughly $4.5 million. Worrell (Director) got 10,500 shares for $189,000. Take a look at the insider transactions at yahoo since November.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=CEI
Rainwater sure has a lot of money tied up in CEI.

*OT* The World Money Show, February 3-5, 2005 Gaylord Palms Resort, Orlando, Florida...
Does anyone have plans to attend? Any interest?

*OT* TV, here is what I've tried to post for the last hour. Funny how it wouldn't work in preview?
Tom, these Monster Trucks anything like the Pumpkin? This one appeared to be a 69 Ford. We stood around at the pick up site for over an hour waiting for a sick driver to show up and finally I convinced them that I could drive the thing and follow the other truck. Good thing I had my Rokon Cap on! What a blast!

PS - okay it worked after I sent the message but not in the preview stage. See the problem now....
OT - Could someone remind me on the "How to" post a web link on I-Hub?
