This is just nasty sick potential gains here. I went to a dispensiary here on Broadway street near Denver yesterday. 1 of over 100 opened. When i arrived at 9:15 they had 60 customers served. It was by ticket numbers. They handed me 254 and said come back in 3-4 hours. I came back at noon and stayed til 2:00 some people had ticket numbers over 700 and had to wait until the next day. Got some agent orange, yummy! I feel bad for you in other states.
Hot dog the sector heating up! Giddy up!
Thanks Ripdog for the updates! Good investing...good day and happy new year!
Nice, thanks. I think we could see some volume come in at a close over .046. Its testing that support line around .032-.033 now.
Hemplife, please post on yahoo message board. chart not showing up here...thanks.
The U.S. is moving forward...5 Jaw-Dropping Facts About Legal Marijuana

The legal use of marijuana for both medical use and adult recreational use is on the rise. Here are five facts that might just surprise you about the drug.
Source: Chuck Coker, Flickr.
1. Marijuana could be the best-selling legal drug. Ever.
According to ArcView Market Research, the national market for legalized marijuana could hit $10.2 billion in five years. Pfizer's (NYSE: PFE ) Lipitor currently holds the record for prescription drugs at about $13 billion. If ArcView's prediction is correct, it's not hard to see how marijuana could surpass that record in the following year. It's growing from a base of just $1.44 billion this year.
And unlike Pfizer, which saw Lipitor sales crash once generic versions hit the market, there isn't likely to be a cliff that causes sales to drop precipitously, short of having the federal government decide to crack down on state laws. Of course, unlike Lipitor, you can't invest in one company to capture all the revenue.
2. 14 states could join Colorado and Washington legalizing marijuana for recreational use
In fact, that's one of the driving forces behind ArcView's growth prediction. The sentiment has shifted recently; a majority of Americans now favor legalization. If they vote the same way they answer poll questions, it's likely that we'll see many more states where marijuana use is legal in the coming five years.
The driving force for the states is the potential revenue from taxes. They want to get their cut, which they don't get on illegal sales now.
It'll be interesting to watch Colorado and Washington as they try to deal with how to tax what many consider to be a drug to help people -- which are typically not taxed -- compared with a recreational drug, which, like cigarettes and alcohol, are typically highly taxed.
3. The government sends out marijuana cigarettes each month
It's part of a study to see if marijuana could help patients with glaucoma. At its peak, there were 30 patients enrolled in the study, which stopped accepting new participants in 1992. Those still enrolled get sent their prescriptions from a special farm on the University of Mississippi campus that provides the drug for medical research.
4. Only 6% of studies on marijuana investigate its potential benefit.
According to CNN's Sanjay Gupta, the other 94% investigate its potential harm. The problem, as Gupta points out, is that it's very hard to run clinical trials on marijuana use since it's still illegal at the national level. While the University of Mississippi farm can provide the medication legally for studies, it's apparently not that all that easy to acquire medication from it.
Researchers also have to gain approval from the NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse, which has a mission "to lead the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction." That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for potential benefits of drugs.
5. The receptor that marijuana activates has been an (unsuccessful) drug target
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, one of the active drugs in marijuana, is available as a prescription drug called Marinol, developed by Abbott's drug arm, now called AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV ) , to stimulate appetite and control nausea and vomiting in patients taking chemotherapy. But the drug isn't widely used because it's absorbed by different people at different levels, making it hard to get the right dosage .
Sanofi (NYSE: SNY ) tried to do the opposite and block the receptor, thus controlling appetite. While Sanofi's obesity drug, Acomplia, was fairly good at helping patients shed the pounds, it had psychiatric side effects including depression. The FDA never approved the drug, and Sanofi had to remove it from the market in Europe in 2008.
It appears the U.S. is moving in the right direction.

Hence Terra market cap over 2x, I agree with you and why I hold Terra also. Just one is a bit more shareholder friendly to me.
just a dream, I have both. I knew that would ruffle your feathers. They will both do well.
Yep, terra buys Greengro for $.10/share :) Terra stock falls to $.05 and Greengro holders get 2 shares of Terra for 1 share of Greengro.
Congradulations.
When is the wedding for TerraTech and Greengrow?
grnh and trtc are looking and trading like they are getting married. One does hydro the other does aqua. Volume is decent and holding / building bases. I think they will both see significant revenue increases next year.
ON2, its good they built the greenhouse. They should build many but they should find better financing. This notion that the dilution is almost over is sad. They should be fueling growth and growing like mad but with 3rd party investors or partnerships or angel funding or something for backing other than the constant dilution.
wow, really pathetic management performance.maybe they should / could find a better way to expand?
todays funding news on phot should be good for the whole sector. this stock needs more respect.
meaning that it shows these types of companies can get funding. trtc and grnh should get more respect.
shouldn't this be good news for the whole mj industry?
Q3 won't have any surprises. Low revs and big loss. Next year, the Farmers market opens and the greenhouses will be producing Q1 - Q2 2014, then the revs will skyrocket. Thats only about 6 months away. Then add to that the MJ potential. I like what they are doing helping inner city youth learn in the mean time. I used to live near Buena Park. This whole healthy foods thing will be a revenue generator for them before any switching to MJ. When Cali legalizes in 2016 this could be near $1 per share.
ditto hemplife!
Lets hope. The volume has been increasing for a while. Yesterday showed some strength.
8 days til Maine legalization, oh what to do with this shareholder unfriendly stock.
just google terratech lawsuit
One really smart CEO. There is one company in my top 5 that is consistently making good decisions and has great ideas expanding the company. They do this without this crazy dilution stuff and is looking out for their shareholders. The PR's they put out are real, not pumps, just genuine growth. See yesterday's release for something they are doing in Buena Park, CA., really good stuff. My new top 5 in order are GRNH, GWPH, PHOT, TRTC, MJNA.
BTW, what is happening with the lawsuit against Derek? Is this why we are at these depressed levels?
Wow! This CEO is a smart cookie. Great idea! Greengro Technologies Plans to Launch BP Gardens Farmers Market in Buena Park
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 16, 2013) - Greengro Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GRNH), a world class world class provider in agricultural science system, has announced plans to launch the BP Gardens Farmers Market at the 4.5-acre BP Gardens Center located at 7701 Knott Ave. in Buena Park, Calif.
The BP Gardens Farmers Market will sell a broad selection of fresh produce, including fruits -- apples, grapes, peaches, plums and more -- and fresh organic vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuces and more.
"We plan to create a venue to help educate the community about how food is grown naturally and about the science involved in future farming. Our farmers market will provide Orange County shoppers with ways to interact with our grow operations to educate themselves about the source of their food and how it is made. Greengro is enthusiastic about providing restaurant operators, grocery stores and city residents with fresh seasonal produce in Buena Park at the BP Gardens Farmers Market," said James Haas, CEO of Greengro Technologies.
The market will also offer baked goods and feature local artisans and prepared food vendors. Along with fruits, nuts and vegetables, BP Gardens will also offer fish freshly harvested from its own onsite aquaponics operation. The BP Gardens Farmers Market is seeking top-quality farmers and growers to sell their products at a California certified farmers market where fresh food is sold directly to the public.
Every farmer who sells at certified markets like the BP Gardens Farmers Market is inspected by the Orange County agricultural commissioner to make sure the farmer actually grows the commodity being sold. Vendors at the BP Gardens Farmers Market must hold an agricultural certificate issued by the agricultural commissioner of the county in which their crops are grown. Non-certified growers cannot sell produce (or even flowers and plants) in the BP Gardens Farmers Market.
Greengro is currently breaking the ground for the first-phase of its initial BP Gardens project, set on prime real estate space strategically located in the heart of Buena Park. The property, formerly John's Wholesale Nursery, currently features 30,000 square feet of existing greenhouse facilities. In addition, an abundance of open area on the site is available for an additional 18,000 square feet of greenhouse structures for research and development (R&D) and future community activities.
The process from cleanup to designing of the aquaponics system and greenhouses will be completed by the end of November, according to Haas. The planning for integrating Greengro's vertical cultivation garden system into BP Gardens will also be completed by late November.
The Buena Park project calls for remodeling the site's existing greenhouses, each of which will be refurbished or purpose built and will highlight the most advanced and cost-effective commercial growing systems in use today.
About Greengro Technologies
Greengro Technologies is a national leader in both indoor and outdoor aquaponic and hydroponic systems and grow rooms, with specific domain expertise in agricultural science systems serving both the consumer and commercial farming markets. The company's customers include restaurants, community gardens, and small- and large-scale commercial clients
They already have an agreement in place with (forgot the name Barry told me) that this store will buy all the produce that greenhouse will produce from day 1. This is a controlled environment, I believe they can do it.
Barry called me...
From what I got out of the call, they are doing the right things preparing for growth with immediate focus getting the 5 acre facility up and running. NB is still on and will need similar financing. They will get the website updated and address my can you answer the phone, esp. the sales line.
I'm still iffy but willing to stick my neck out here to try and see the forest through what he mentioned as trees but its a really really big forest right now.
I think when they are all done with financing, we will see .04 along the way but maybe we will see over .10 also within the next 6 months. If we can get through the next six months we might have a good company here.
Good luck.

wooooooooooooooof!
Really? id they mention NB in the PR? Nope?
Their phone system sucks, in my opinion, they don't answer the phone. Press 2 for sales and go into the sales pitch. Press for Derek, go into the sales pitch, press any friggin option go into a sales pitch. They should just disconnect the friggin phone if they can't answer it.They have no humans to talk to. This is what steered me away before. I want to talk to Derek. What is his phone number? I taled with him about 6 months ago but is no longer in my phone directory. I gace this PR some more thoughts and its missing alot of key stuff. Its like they only tols us what we want to hear but did not tell us other stuff like the NB plants merger? Did it just fall off the radar? This stock sucks in my opinion because of their disconnect from the public and their investors.
I meant evenue outlook compelling for 2014. Ooops I went over my 3 messages for the day.
Yessum, the stock is cheap and I am a buyer here as I have been for the past few weeks. $.10 minimum is where we should be. $.25 by spring 2014.
I am pleased to see an update from Terra Tech. It appears they were listening. The revenue outlook for 2012 is compelling. With current market cap around 14 mil it seems cheap. At 2X sales, we should be at $.10 minimum right now.
What could really help them and us is if they provided estimated gross margins for 2014 on this 10mm sales.
They need to execute FASTER in the MJ market if they are to be a leader. Colorado is already accepting applications here for dispensiaries. I would think they would have a facility to support these dispensiaries as the demand will outstrip supply come January 2014.
We might close at $.07 tomorrow if we are lucky enough. :)
The real reasons why TRTC is falling:
a. more sellers than buyers
b. lack of EXECUTION from the company
c. timing
These are of course my views. I don't believe in the shorts, mm's, blah blah blah. See phot and gwph, they went up for good reasons. When trtc management has good reasons, then maybe trtc will go up yo. Until, then its all wishful thinking. Stop throwing good money after bad until the "COMPANY" gives good reasons to buy more. I have a bunch of shares and am holding until I see the execution or signs of failure. I don't either right now.

..Though deprived of sunlight and breathing the smog-ridden air of Mexico’s mountain capital, the marijuana plants, from a strain known as purple kush, reach three feet in a brick home in a middle class suburb. They are alimented with electric lights and kept behind closed curtains by the owner, who says he grows them to smoke himself. If police found them, he could be nailed for drug production and face a hefty prison sentence under laws designed to tackle the country’s ultra violent cartels.
But that situation could change with a series of bills that Mexico City legislators plan to file at the end of this month to legalize and regulate marijuana consumption. Proposals include the setting up of cannabis clubs to grow herb for their members and tolerance of anyone carrying up to 30 grams, or just over an ounce, of marijuana. Leftist lawmakers, who dominate the city’s assembly, say the measures would free up police to focus on serious crime and take a step towards ending the country’s catastrophic drug war, which has claimed more than 60,000 lives in the last six years. “The war against drugs is a failure. We are not going to win it,” says Assemblyman Vidal Lleranas who is working on the legislation. “We cannot hope for a drug free world. But we can hope to limit the damage and take the profits away from organized crime.”
The Mexico City bills are part of a wave of marijuana proposals across the Americas in the wake of the American states of Colorado and Washington voting to legalize cannabis last November. The Uruguayan lower house has passed a legalization law, which the senate is expected to vote on this month, and advocates are looking at measures from Brazil to Argentina to Canada. While the United States was long a world leader in drug prohibition, U.S. legalization has now become influential force outside its borders. Alison Holcomb, the chief architect of the Washington state law, has spoken across the continent this year, including at a recent forum in Mexico. “I have seen a sea change in thinking. People are no longer asking if it can be done, but how it can be done,” says Holcomb, who is the drug policy director for the ACLU in Washington state. If the Mexican capital, which is the largest city on the continent, were to legalize marijuana, it would add even momentum to the pro-legalization wave, possibly paving the way for similar measures in other Mexican states and in neighboring Central American nations such as Guatemala.

Hey Denny, its in the Greengro Technologies Acquires The Waters Wheel
Press release..ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 11, 2013) - Greengro Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GRNH), a world class provider of eco-friendly green technologies, has completed its acquisition of 49 percent of The Waters Wheel, Hollywood, Calif., a firm that specializes in recirculating water urban farming -- systems, such as Aquaponics, that use water in place of soil to grow food.
In August, 2013, Rafael O. Quezada, founder and CEO of The Waters Wheel, was named Aquaponics Manager for BP Gardens, LLC, Buena Park, Calif. BP Gardens specializes in controlled environment agriculture (CEA) solutions.
"The Waters Wheel complements our work in the CEA market," said James Haas, CEO of GreenGro Technologies. "Together with Rafael, we plan to farm inner cities, where past attempts have often failed to meet needs, and where fresh foods nutrition is lacking, resulting in poor health among community residents."
Said Quezada: "We are very happy to be joining with Greengro. Together, we're one of the few companies dedicated to using aquaponics in child and adolescent education, especially in the inner city, to light a transformational path to a universally prosperous future... a way out of an increasingly problematic present."
The Waters Wheel
Quezada, an innovator, artist and builder, provides construction and technology expertise on Greengro Technologies projects.
The Waters Wheel systems use water in place of soil (or soil developed from aquaculture and specialized media). Besides accelerating growth of densely concentrated crops and making better tasting produce, recirculating water agriculture conserves as much as 95 percent of the water otherwise needed to farm in soil.
Previous projects undertaken by The Waters Wheel include a for-profit enterprise that involved the development of one aeroponic farm at Hollygrove Market and Farm and the first rooftop-supermarket farm at Rouses Market, both projects in New Orleans, La. The company introduced the first recirculating farm to the city in collaboration with Aquaponic Modular Production Systems (AMPS).
The first collaborative school project between Greengro and The Waters Wheel will break ground October 17, 2013, in South Central Los Angeles. A seedling nursery and recirculating water farm will be implemented for the new City of Youth Charter School, located in a Los Angeles "food desert" on South Central Avenue. A new solar parking lot will provide off-grid power for all farming operations. Greengro Technologies is providing funds for the startup and will help equip the facilities with Greengro products.
City of Youth, under the leadership of program director David Durand, has plans to replicate the project at multiple locations, bringing fresh foods and a much needed agriculture economy to the urban community. School curricula will include aquaponics, a food production system that combines conventional aquaculture (fish farming in a tank) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment.
"For projects like the City of Youth academy, our operating principle is, 'If you feed people a fish, they will eat for a day," said Haas. "If you teach them how to grow healthy produce with tanks full of edible fish, a whole economy will generate from their hands, empowered.'"
The Waters Wheel is dedicated to transforming the next generation of children with Earth-centric curricula that uses recirculating water farming techniques to teach the "3-Rs" while, at the same time, improving local access to pure, organic nutrition.
