On second read of the ER, I reduced position to 4000. Dead money for now
Added 6000 more. So 15000 now. Will make it a nice round number and then wait...avg price $0.88
GoGreen, I told U I will make money on its way down. Just did...some $3400 on PEIX and $400 on BIOF. Covered and out. Not greedy. Also sold my 4000 long on PEIX. Will watch for now and see the next move. Buyng EMKR
That I agree to. But you don't buy stock just because oil prices are going up. The primary consideration is the stock value. I do that too. I buy if I think it is cheap. I sell when the value is at par. And I short if it is overpriced/hyped. Just trade PEIX for what it is, but not for Iran.
I have played the stock for a while. Lost out making good money on it last time because I didn't see them offering new shares. I also shorted 4000 BIOF at $0.785. Gonna be ok here this time
Jumped in here today and got 9000 starter position
Shorted 18000 at $1.27 - will see
Gogreen - Yes, still have 4000, but will make more money on its way down. You know what will happen when it crsses $1.25. They will start hitting it slowly again. The Iran news was timely anyway. Hope you were able to get some in the lower 80's
Sold 46000, 40000 above $1.05. Holding only 4000 for now. Not buying, not shorting glad I turned some profit
Selling....slowly now - been a long wait
Jumped in here and got some at $0.72. This will go past $1...Bk is not an issue for now.
No, this will go below $0.70. The only reason it is still above $0.80 is because shorts are realizing over 80% profits. Yes, maybe it will recover by the next numbers in March, but that is March. With all the noise aroud the industry and the economy, going long above $1 has been a nightmare. I am stuck with the long position in any case and will hope to get off it with some losses at any advance
PEIX is now the mother of all bad long trades for me for 2011. Should have stuck to my short position. Management clearly is a joke...that Seeking Alpha guy calling for dumping knew exactly what he was writing. We were all duped. Mgmt provided information to MMs and Funds to short in exchange for buying these issues. It is a game. Glad I made money on its initial run and on my short position, although I've lost most of it going LONGGGGG.
AND GUESS WHAT...theu buying you see now is actually COVERING
JPM OUTPERFORM - Now I wish I got more...knew it was just a give-away down there ..with $3m cash net of debt and having booked all charges. This will be $2 in a flash. JPM still have it at OUTPERFORM
Reloaded 11000 $0.81- tax loss buy buy buy
Motricity (MOTR). What to do now? Motricity is re-jiggering its offerings for a smartphone centric universe and while growth and profitability have not been in the offing in most recent quarters, the company should capture value in a market place it better understands after some very expensive lessons. It doesn’t hurt to have Carl Icahn looming in the background as the largest independent shareholder bent on extracting value from so much that was invested.
Never love a stock too much...think I did here. Turns out that those that buy it long are actually shorting it. Still long, but I should never have covered my short. The headwind and manipulation is frustrating...but longs should be fine with TIME
Matthew 13:12: Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
I never knew that existed until someone pointed it out just now. Topical here. Here is a company that basically added over $38 million in its share of quarterly net sales ($271.6 million x 14%) (about $3 million annual profit) in with the acquisition. Yet someone tells you...mmmm it is a bad thing. Just because he shorted higher and wants to buy back lower. And it appears to be working...except that I AM INFORMED AND BUYING LOWER.
If you are not into this because some fool says some stuff about subsidy, think twice. Agric Secretary Tom V and the Obama Administration has said support for biofuels and ethanol industry is central to US energy independence. Google it. As recently as Sept 2011 You will lose out to these rumormonger traders shortly
FUNNY: Sold 2000 this am because I needed to make up a margin call. And some fool is following me. This is a funny blind businss. still hold 33000 of SAPX
Got a lot more this am at $0.90s. This is going to $1 50. And I have a lot of it. SUBSIDIES...kiss my uhhhh. Buy if you like $$$, or keep looking or sell to people that want it.
I called it right, but traded wrong.
MMs and Message Boards - you can make some $$$ in small issues
I've had some personal experiences that have been generally beneficial.
Sold 43000 at $0.98 or better - which I bot under $0.88. Now buying it all back. Holding all positions I bot above $1 intact.
I'm all for trading too
Oh MY PACIFIC ETHANOL...never sleeps - pacific
OK - the CEO and directros just dropped $8 mln loading up at $1.05 and someone would want me to sell less than that? I DON'T smoke like that anymore. We buy more when insiders buy. What a BEAUTIFUL DAY. Guiness - anyone?
ALSO that 7.4 mln shares are not being available for shorts. The buyers are not selling
Fair enough. I am not particularly interested in ethanol as product myself. But there is an opportunity to make some dough here BASED ON WHAT I CLEARLY UNDERSTAND IS MISINFORMATION/NONINFORMATION. Let's see how it goes in due course
GoGreen - that's funny. The 15 billion mandate is set yearly and graduates. It is 12 billion for 2011. As of October, the US has exported 404 million liters or about 100 million gallons. Small it may seem, but that is a triple from 2010 - so you can see where it's going. And, the 15 bln mandate is the mandate, not the ceiling. Currently US blenders produce over 160 billion gallons of blended fuel for 2011. With E10 mandate firmly in place, ethanol is firmly with us. Also, benders reported that with ethanol, blended gasoline actually costs $0.17 less. That is why even the ethanol producers are saying the subsidy is immaterial right now.
**On question though from you post - If you're not investing one way or the other on PEIX - do you have that much time to waste on the baord -or are you waiting for it to come lower?
Link: Watch PEIX CEO Neil Koehler on Subsidy himself - Not me. I posted this last week when that subsidy rubbish was all over the place. Also note that total US Ethanol production capacity is now 14.2 brls bln per year, while blenders are MANDATED to blend 15 bln brls by 2015.
You'd think MGMT would have said something instead of letting small investors do their job for them. Glad I have some protection here though. Covered all and turned everything long
I GOT A BUNCH of BIOF Too at $0.51. Uying more of PEIX. Still see green here today
39000 $0.938 - waaaoooohoooo. KANDILIKERS!
I SAY GIVE IT TO ME---BABY
No, we will close green today. I got 1500 at $0.98 - just because I am greedy. DOn't really need any more of PEIX. What you see premkt is fake. Has no bearing to what will happen today-MHO
MMs just playing with the stock, BUT NOTICE THAT THE BUYING INTEREST ON THE STOCK WEDNESDAY WAS HUGE. It was not the MMs buying to flip. It was real investors
I got the 7000 filled much lower than I wanted...you can't beat that
PEIX at this price is a giveaway and the shorter was just hoping some magic would make it go below $1.05. A BIG MISTAKE...he will never cover at any bargain. BUT I am glad I got a lot of MOTR under $1 after an initial 3000 position. It returned an impressive 10% just one minute into close
Glad to see that I am not the only one that sees value here - except that that one has a lot more $$$ than me. I would have bought the entire float myself at $1 if I had the cash
Just placed 7000 bid at $1.04. As always, they (this short) tend not to give up eaisly, prefering to take their chances at further losses than admit their thoughtlessness. So, will wait to get a little more down there for a round number.
It was not a categorical statement. The sale at $1.05 was exceptional. It was simply a losing sale...something an amatuer short would do. If you look at the $1.05 seller, you will note that there is just no way it would make sense except that he/she was able to stoke some panic down there to cover some $1.40-50 short. However, everyone wanted his shares at $1.05 and he basically came out as a BLIND player. DON'T FORGET ALSO THAT OVER HALF OF THE MONEY RAISED WOULD DOUBLY ENHANCE SHAREHOLDER EQUITY - to be reported soon. Why don't you limit my reference to dumb to that specific reply.
Some FOOL just wasted over 600000 shares at $1.05 scaring himself! Loser!
I GOT 13000 of those - APPLAUD ME
Grabbing more at $1.05...like the big buys did . lol - BRING IT ON!
There is no dumb decision in this business. This morning I liquidated entire BIOF and started reloading PEIX and MOTR. Although I think BIOF is ok, I am uncomfortable with the insider selling of the stock. Now I got tons more of PEIX and as low as $1.06/7. Remember, so many stuff play here - many unrelated to the stock
