Holy crap...
Biofuels Power Corp's website is "coming soon"....
You mean they didn't waste time on web sites and went out and got a signed contract to produce power?....
What kind of management team does that ?.....
(tongue-in-cheek)...
Maybe they should build them (ethanol plants) near fraternities..
Ethanol Cities Smell
Written on March 22, 2007.
FayObserver.com reports that ethanol stinks. A reporter who recently visited two ethanol plants in Nebraska stated that cities where the facilities were located had a ‘noticable odor’ in the air well beyond the grounds of the plant. The severity of the smell depends on the distance you are from the source and the climate and wind conditions of any given day. The smell is said to have a yeasty scent of stale beer. The site visit to these Nebraska facilities was to investigate for a proposed plant in Cumberland County, North Carolina which is said to produce jobs for 40 to 50 people.
Look...all this dilution talk (and this is not aimed at you, string...I'm just using your post to respond) isn't really worth anything...
It won't be worth anything unless the company can generate profits...
Then, dilution will be an issue...
Until then, diluton of zero...is still zero....
(and geez, I'm holding a position here)....
What was that word?....Did you say...."yutes"?... :)
C'mon, people....ligthen up....
I'd have to agree....
Since management thought the fastest way to market was through power generation, you'd think that they would have gotten one out there and proved to everyone it works the way it was sold....
However, it is likely that if management is really swamped with requests from bigger fish, that would be the way to get the company better returns....and would be cost effective to focus on the whales instead of the guppies...
But...given that this is new territory for a new management team, you would think that they would want to show immediate success by getting a contract and getting this thing off the ground...
Sometimes you use the little fish to hook the big fish (Oh, no, here come the bashers to lock in on this last statement)...
Oops...
So what's taking our guys so long?....
I'm trawling for information on Biofuels Power Corp...
Is it private/public?....how long have they been around?
I'm going off that thing Z keeps posting....somewhere near the bottom, it gives the capitalization structure....
I don't know if that's what you're looking for....
Seriously, though...
The float is something like 144M?.....the trading volume/day is something like 1M+....
If you mean the volume seems to be increasing by 300K/350K per day over "normal" volume, that does indeed indicate distribution (because pps is going down)....(if it was going up, it would mean accumulation)...
That doesn't mean insiders are selling....it probably means a) investors who bought at lower prices are not seeing enough movement to justify holding on and are selling because they're protecting profits, and b) investors who are feeling the pain of a decreased pps are selling because they aren't seeing enough movement to justify holding on and are capitulating in an effort to preserve ammunition for a run at something they think has a better chance..
In both cases, buyers aren't seeing enough to justify buying at higher prices and so the price is lowered by the MM until a buyer can be matched with a seller...
That's why I have said before the only things people should be watching from a technical basis on this stock is volume and price....
Well, if "Orville and Wilbur" ever get it off the ground, maybe they (Brazil) will....
Instead of us going down there to buy ethanol from them !!!
How lame is that?
Treasury stock would imply they bought it from shareholders to retire from the open market and decrease dilution (like a buyback)....that would mean an outflow of cash....and (assuming they even had profits) an increase in value to shareholders...
Can't see that they'd be wasting $$$ doing that....not at this juncture....
And that 300K - 350K per day?....I thought that was you... ;)
Sack....
I agree (and I'm sure you don't care that I do) with string on this one...
It would have been nice to know that....the impression here is that biofuel is not being produced at all...
Sure, that news would have nothing to do with increasing pps, but it demonstrates they are doing something...and with the fuel no less...and successfully....
GEO....
Nothing...and I mean nothing is going to 100% replace gasoline in the near future...
Look at Brazil....hell, they are like 70% on ethanol...not 100% and they've got a head start on USSEC...
USSEC, if they can deliver, has the ability (if you believe all other claims on the fuel) to make a significant impact...
I won't profess to be able to estimate in percentage terms, but a significant impact nonetheless...
E...
I have to disagree with your assertion that the 25M share dilution per quarter is definitive proof of insider "dumpage" (good word, though)...
The company does not get financing from the trading of unrestricted shares...they get money from the initial sale of these shares to the public...once they are out there, trading of these shares just transfer value between shareholders...
While there are 644M shares outstanding (500M restricted for two years...anybody know when that line is reached?), there are 1B shares authorized...
That means the company CAN issue additional shares to the market to obtain financing (between 644M and 1B shares)....that's called equity financing...
So...I'm not sure I'm connecting your dots here to insider dumpage (really like that word)...
Sure, I agree with dilution if those unissued shares are offered on the open market, but not as a result of insider selling...
Anybody disagree?...
"...my patience is neither miniscule nor infinite...."
Nice line...and nice post...
OK...here are two questions....
1) Where is USSEC in the patent process?...how long does
this process normally take?...are we still using
Finnegan et al for this process?...will the patent
belong to USSEC alone (or will any others have claim
to it or will it belong to JR alone)?
2) How long does the green certificates accreditation
process take?...what does it entail?...when was the
process started?...
Now, in either of these questions, I don't expect the answer would be April 30th or June 23rd....but, the answer could be....about 3 months....about one year...
So, if the answer was say "about three months" and after six months nothing happens, I'm asking....what's going on?...to which I would need a logical answer....
Another answer could be the patent belongs to JR alone (which probably would lead to other questions)...no one else will have claims against the IP...blah, blah, blah...yes, Finnegan is still handling the process (and not Crazy Eddie's Intellectual Property, LLC)...I don't know s**t about the patent process myself so any information would be an education, but logic dictates if Finnegan is still handling the process (yes, I went on THEIR website), I'm feeling a little better at least about that...
I'm sure you get my point...
I agree wholeheartedly...
The worst part is trying to find out if the foundation is made out of cement....or sand...
Sack..
I've called Redwood...they couldn't tell me anything I didn't already know...
As for Max, I know he's still trawling this board and so I don't want him (or anyone else) to take this the wrong way...
First, Max himself will say (as he has on the board) that he can't tell me everything I or anyone else wants to know on this board...
Not only that, I (and others) have asked simple questions that go totally unanswered...maybe he doesn't know, maybe (at this point) he doesn't even want to give approximate timing because when it doesn't happen, it makes him look bad, maybe he doesn't think the questions asked are good questions...hey, man..I don't know...
There have been statements by Max that seem to have an element of reliance in them...but, a) he's a Public Relations guy and PR guys (anywhere) have to spin...it's their job...and b) there is a lack of third party confirmation for the things he does say...
To be fair, that kind of leaves Max in a no-win position...
If he says something, people don't necessarily believe him and if he doesn't, we complain we aren't getting any information from him...
The point of my prior post was that on the basis of the very public Vidalia demo and the WSR Report (which USSEC had to supply the information), the expectation from investors was that Vidalia was a done deal (at least to me) and this company was going to be up and running and making money in the first quarter...following the outlined plan in the WSR Report (yes, I know things can change, but you read the plan and invest on the basis of believing these guys will be able to execute somewhere near the plan but here we are bumping up against the end of 1Q and we don't have a signed contract, we seem to have very little movement in construction of the reactors at least compared to the 200 we are supposed to have by year-end (even Redwood told me that), we have a stock dividend that no one can seem to tell us when it will actually be in our accounts, we have very little in the way of interviews or getting the company to show up in the public domain, etc.
That Vidalia hasn't emerged (and I read several area newspaper articles online quoting some officials outside of Vidalia as saying if it did happen, it would take at least 5 years) is discouraging especially given that the company has not been able get someone else on board to replace Vidalia as the first...this stuff is that good?...there should be some movement in the contract arena...
Max's previous statements (and to give the benefit of the doubt, I'll say they were sincere) implied there was progress on the contract front that was expected in the very short term....
When that doesn't materialize, investors are left wondering what happened....
When virtually nothing materializes, it leaves investors wondering...
As some suggest, (I'll paraphrase), when management gave that information to WSR, maybe they didn't understand there were other hoops to jump through and that made it impossible to perform according to original plan...
So...just say so...don't give the impression that all the wonderment is "just around the corner"...
DD isn't just about asking company officials to give you information...it's about confirming the reliability of that information in actual company progress or third party reporting sources...
Respectfully,
Mike
Good luck, Mr. O.
I hope it works out for you
Sack...
There was no rumor in my post....
But, thanks for the number...
Cy....
What public source do you have to back up the "4 goop poopers in operation"?
PS. You get a "flag" for taunting...c'mon, people...that's
not what this board should be about...
Thanks for acknowledging..
No sweat....we move forward...
Just know when anybody gets a reply from me, I'm not trying to start an argument or rattle anyone's chains (even Max)...
I just want (as do we all) reliable information....
I want to believe this is still viable (regardless of current pps)...
By nature, I'm the same as you, E....I'll usually get in (non-pink sheet) and follow the play as long as it moves in my direction...and bail early if it's not....
I've taken enough direct hits to know capital preservation is job 1...
But even while my expectations haven't been met here (yet), I'm letting this play out longer...
All my eggs are not in this basket, but even I have to admit, I probably got too carried away too early...
Right now, the "book" doesn't appear what it looked like from the cover....I'm waiting for the movie...
Well, I understand your points too...
That's why I still have a position...from what I do know, this has the potential to be blockbuster...
Trying to determine if it can get out of the starting blocks is another story...
Z...
Talks about more tube building....
Where are the pics?....what's the timeframe for completion?
Can we get answers (simple answers) on anything?...
You can only run out the same pics so many times...
Respectfully...
Mike
Mine was a simple reply...
I'm sorry you thought you had to put attitude on yours...
We need a "taker" (contract signed)....
I think right now...it's the only thing that will lend credibility that management can deliver....
I'm not trying to pump it...
But, I wish I had enough information to directly answer every question on this board so current/potential investors would hit that "Buy" key with confidence....
Then, you truly are Mr. Optimism....
If you do, I wish you the best....
Yes...
But you have to ask why Vidalia (who was touted at the time as having the highest electric rates in the nation) isn't signing on the dotted line?....
For all I know, Mayor Copeland tried to put the squeeze play on USSE and management walked away because it was not in the best interests of the company...
Or maybe management tried to put the squeeze play on Vidalia?....
Or maybe it's still in play, but there are other hurdles to jump....
But without comment from management (or their reps), the only thing investors know is Vidalia does not appear to be stepping to the plate...and that's unfortunate since the appearance from the demo and the WSR report was that Vidalia was just a signature away from USSE actually beginning to generate power revenues....
If there are others to take their place, great...but, again, and I understand how tentative and fragile contract negotiations can be, all the investors are hearing is that quotes are "out there" or "are being prepared to go out"...and "we're close" (I'm paraphrasing so please don't write me)...
I know there's treachery in the pink sheet world (witness some of the grumbling on the Cyberkey board as I've tooled around to marvel at how it's the same general story on many of these boards, this being my only foray into pinkness), but you get the same dog and pony show from the big boys as well...
They all paint you a big rosy picture, but if you call their IR departments, they don't tell you anything either...it's all footnotes and safe harbor statements....
At the end of the day, all of it is a crapshoot....
But, I would hate to think management is just "pulling a fast one"....because it's bad enough when you lose money from incompetency...it's 100% worse if your trust has been betrayed at the same time....
Honestly, though, with as much information as we have at this point, we should all be heading for the hills (and apparently, witnessing the pps, some are)...it's amazing (and somewhat sad) that many, including myself, still want to believe and hope (gritting my teeth again) for the best...
Well, I'm specifically asking about USSE....
As much as I'd love people to go in and buy, I'd have to agree with you E....
There's nothing fundamental (at least known) or technical (and not to insult anyone, but as a technical guy, I wouldn't be hanging on to indicators other than support/resistance and volume) that would suggest buying more...
If you have a position and all of a sudden there's a news release (say, of a signed contract) and the pps takes off, you'll make money...at that point, don't worry about what you missed....manage existing positions and worry about making money....
But, without more definite information from management or their reps, it's hard to think that buying more simply because the stock has been moving lower, would be a good idea...
I am not knocking management or their reps....but from where I'm sitting, there's not enough quantifiable things happening in the public domain to convince me...
Right now, we are boiled down to "hope"....and I hate that word....
So...I hope (gritting my teeth) management is busting it out down there in Natchez and will make a fool out of me for ever doubting...
But, to commit more...even if this thing rides down to a penny doesn't make sense right now...
There's been a lot of supposition about insiders dumping their shares....frankly, it would surprise me if this is happening...unless someone told me the 2 year restriction on the 500M shares had expired on either all or part...
Or if they are referring to shares insiders purchased that were not among the 500M restricted shares, again, there are windows that allow insiders to sell...
I'm not an expert on pink sheet stocks so if the rules are different, then please enlighten me....
If anyone has any published/direct knowledge of insiders dumping, please supply the source of such information...
I think more likely is that as share price is slipping and no significant news is coming out of Natchez, traders/investors are starting to bail with small profits or to protect original capital....
While the sirens may be blaring in Natchez, much of the investing public can't see/hear it....
If they really are as busy as some suggest, that's a real shame this information isn't getting out to the investors....
The way I understand it, the biofuel mix is 50/50 with gasoline...
It is a 100% replacement for diesel...
Someone will correct me, I'm sure, if I'm wrong
Thanks for the PM....unfortunately, I'm a cheapskate and can't respond directly to you off this board...
Please feel free to contact me at mickeynu@yahoo.com
OK....Really not understanding how they can take unrestricted shares from outside shareholders and make them restricted...
Can someone explain that to me ?
Restricted shares are usually used as long term incentive comp for insiders...
I'd love to go...
Can anyone provide a firm date?....
Because according to Max, this was supposed to happen in late March....others said early April...
Now, I'm hearing late April/early May....
I don't think it's a scam....
But, while JR may have come up with the product, maybe the management team, including JR himself, aren't the right guys to get things moving....
When I mentioned to Max that I was concerned by seeing other companies "like" Constellation Energy out there getting contracts, he missed the mark by focusing on the fact that Constellation is more established than USSEC...
While correct, that is but one company....posters here have thrown several articles out there and the companies were not as well-known or established...
Someone just posted about 10-20 year contracts and they want to get it right because once you sign, you can't fix it for a long time...
I'll buy that...look at what happened in CA when Gray Davis signed long term energy contracts at the highest prices...it was a debacle...
What bothers me isn't the pps because some are right...if you think this product is great and the company will ultimately deliver, then any pullback in price should be considered a buying opportunity...
What does bother me is we are not getting enough information on progress...As some suggest, maybe contracts and progress go hand-in-hand...
But, right now, lack of information on quantifiable progress is a real concern...
I'd like to see some straight answers....especially on the simple stuff...a lot (see E?, I can spell "a lot") of what's posted here is just misdirection and it doesn't have to be that way...not everything is "super-secret"...
of course, that's my opinion...I could be wrong...
I'm not trying to make your decisions for you...you're right...everybody has to do what they think is right for themselves...
Relax, everyone...I'm not going to beat a dead horse here...
But, as my final word on this subject,
If you can even put the word "starting" in front of the word "scam", that's exactly the time you should be selling...
Before it actually becomes known as a scam...
Let's face it...at that point, it's too late....trading is quiet now...you still have a chance before the elephants hit the gate....
Myself?...I don't see scam (maybe I'm not as smart as I think I am), but I see poor communication from the company and I'm hoping (dang, there's that word again) that doesn't translate into ineptness...
No...I think they're working on it...
My question is why can't they zero in and get one done?
Sort of like working for a subprime mortgage company that can't sell loans...so even if you could, why would you make loans?
"I'm starting to smell a scam here what with the board mod working for the company and the head PR man calling folks names? What's up with that.
If USSE could just come up with a signed contract, a revenue source, or anything possitve!"
The first sentence alone should have you selling your position...if you can even use the word, "scam", then why would you have any $$$ invested?....
Let's face it...you're just like everybody else....you don't think this is a scam...you want to believe they can deliver...
Well, I do too...
