dlaser,
Don't count me out of the drinks in NO. If PBLS performs well I will still be around to see it...and I still got the first round.
Hey I'm pissed about what's happening, but I'm not stupid enough to walk away...or maybe I'm to stupid to walk away. LOL
Anyway if there is drinking to be done I will be there! Count me in still.
Cheers
Asus and others
When should we expect the Lion's Gate content to be up?
BTW Shares were pretty scarce today. I got a whopping 55K and I had an order in all day. Guess I'll have to try and go share fishing again tomorrow.
Cheers.
MrP actually.
I haven't done enough DD as of yet. Of pretty well burned out on PBLS and I've been looking for another "home-run" play.
Any insights on this one yet?
Thanks.
Whirl,
I'm still a large holder of PBLS. However, I have no faith in management what-so-ever any longer.
You are right. I was probably the biggest supporter of this company at one point. Now I feel as though I have been lied to and used. It was pretty common for me to get an email from Mike Mulshine about false messages on the board. He would ask me to remove them and such. I was completely taken aback by the so called full disclosure the company released to pinksheets.
So the obvious question is why not sell and move on? Because I think management is intentionally using misinformation to trick investors. I think at some point they will either be bought out or they will try and get a fair price. Right now I think they are intentionally misleading investors in hopes of obtaining their shares on the cheap. In the event investors don't play nice I think PBLS will use the pref III shares to take all the money they can from the company.
As for those who think I have dumped my shares and am now bashing to get back in lower I say. Get a life.
Instead of pointing your finger at me or others why not:
1) Look to Paul and Ron.
2) Look to Atlas Transfer Agent
3) Look at the financial numbers released to pinksheets
4) Look to the promise of "very soon"
5) Look to the oil in Nevada
6) Look to the promise of 1B in revenue for 2006
7) Look to the pref III shares
8) Look to the 1.75B OS.
9) Look in the mirror and ask yourself if this company is being honest.
10) Look to the IR guy who mostly talks about NSS
(Actually I like Mulshine, but he isn't helping PBLS with this retoric any longer)
Will PBLS trade higher? Yep. But it isn't going to do so because management is trying to help shareholders. It will happen after the dust settles and a lot of the current investors are gone. Then management will once again start leaking rumors and news to the investing public. they will once again start the suttle pump before the once again sell shares for their latest aquistions.
For what it's worth even if PBLS issues ground breaking news and we run to a dime I won't be a supporter of what this company has done in the past. IMO they have played investors time and time again. Can I prove it? "Very Soon".
UNGAGG THE TA PA.
BTW Whirl that post wasn't directed at you in particular. just getting out some thoughts. I guess I can do that now that I'm not a mod.
Asus,
I develop scientific software for a living and I've tried to start a software company.
You can pretty much make a blanket statment like this: Building the software is the easy part of any business. If one company can build it then another company can build it faster because they have a working prototype.
Wish I had gotten OUT
at 3.4. Sigh.
Cowboy,
Well Asus did say you were the only ex-PBLS moderator not investing! lol
I agree with everythign you have said BTW. especially you last post. They should have hit the ground running with this.
Cowboy,
Just because people are not NOW downloading movies doesn't mean they won't be soon. BTW I did it last night from a couple of different vendors. I like the technology a lot. Once more media companies are onboard and the number of movie selections increase then I think you will see this is quite popular. I'll certainly convert.
Also I know of several people who have their computers hooked up to their TV's. I also know that sometimes it's nice to lay in bed or on the couch with the laptop and not the tv. I use my computer for all my music. I transmit the signal wirelessly to my home stereo. No reason why the same concept can't be applied to movies.
The points you raise or more than valid. They are THE concerns IMO. I personally think this form of movie rental will be the defacto standard. Most people didn't think Netflix would catch hold either, but they did. This just moves that
concept into the next direction. Right now, and where anytime. That's the great promise of the internet....I think!
BTW I have poised a lot of questions about the competition to the RLTR board as
well.
J-Rhino,
I wouldn't say 2 years ahead of Apple or Google. They have the developers and the resources to catch up very quick. Plus the ability of Apple to market this and enter the market is trivial in comparison.
Also how much protection does the RLTR patent really provide? I'm not sure it makes for a barrier to entry.
Don't get me wrong I see a lot of potential here. If RLTR plays their cards right I think they can at least be one the first and probably manage to hold onto a niche market for some time. BUT they need to get on with it. They need to start their marketing efforts right now. NetFlix is already doing this and they are a house hold name. RLTR is a long shot, but it has a low OS and it's transparent.
Anyone here have thoughts on this? not bashing..just asking. I'm still going to take a small position today.
Thanks.
Cowboy,
All very good questions. And they are questions I'm still sorting through as well.
I'll try and give you my current answers
"How many people do you know download and watch movies off the internet?"
Plenty of college age people can and will do this if it affords them the ability to have instant access to all movies....movie selection is severly lacking for RLTR right now.
"How easy is it now to have movies delivered to your doorstep at a very affordable price?...with free return envelopes to boot?"
It certainly has asvantages over Netflix, but what is keeping them from entering this arena? I current subscribe to netfilx and it's pretty good about getting you movies in 1-2 days. But you still can't watch it right now like you can with internet downloadable movies.
"How many cable companies currently have movies on demand?"
That is my biggest concern. The one advantage RLTR has over cable comanies is remote viewing. I can pick up my computer and go anywhere. I can't do that with my TV.
It's a long short for sure, but it is a transparent company that is reporting. They are still Beta and I think it's possible that this "could" take off. Without a doubt the competition is what scares me. Apple, Google, Netflix, etc, etc.
Anyway it was just a random 10 bagger pick. I think RLTR either makes 10 bagges or it busts. That's kind of how I play pinkies. If I think it has a chance then I usually try and put a litle money down on it. I'm not going in big on this one...not yet.
I'd say it's do or die
for PBLS today. If it stabalizes then we might be ok until the next pr. If it starts down then about 60M shares worth of support will likely fold and run for the hills.
I'll be watching this one close as I'm still in pretty big.
RLTR.
I'm still DD'ing it, but it looks very promising.
The technology is sound.
Shakey Markets.
I think a recession is pretty much eminent at this point. How big of a recession is the real question, but I think it could be a fairly big one. Personally I think the real estate market still has quite a ways to fall. I know everyone is claiming that it has already fallen and now is the time to buy, but I just don't see it.
My worst case scenario plays out as follows.
1) Big boards crash.
2) Interest rates climb back to double digits
3) Oil Prices climb to 100 over the next 3-4 years
4) Dollar collapses. (this actual has a positive effect)
Of course we could continue on for another 5 years before anything happens, but history pretty proves that the longer markets trend upwards the harder they fall when they come down.
Ok that's my doomsday prediction.
Have a Nice Day!
Cheers
deathtotaxes.
First: I love your name!
I actually just grabbed that PE from yahoo finance. Probably not very reliable. I still have a lot of DD to do here before I start buying.
you know it's early stage when charting sites don't even have the symbol!
PE of 23?
Does this seem a little high to anyone else? Granted I'm just getting stated on some DD about this company.
LOL.
Well I'm still invested in PBLS, but I'm starting to diversify a little bit. No sense in putting all the eggs in one basket. What sold me on RLTR was actual financial reports on pinksheets that didn't look like they were written by a fifth grader...unlike other said stock.
Out of curiosity I didn't see a proposed pinksheet ranking for RLTR? I assume they will be "adequate current information" since they have all the requirements. I would also assume that they will apply to the OTCQX once the price gets back above 25 cents?
Edited -- reelit I wouldn't
underestimate the power of penny trader excitement. A couple of big contracts for reeltime and this thing could run to a dollar in a short period of time.
I just started doing my DD on this company over the weekend. I really like what I see and I have more to do. The streaming quality is pretty good from what I can tell...the movie selection is lacking right now, but then it is still Beta.
I will be taking a starter position in this tomorrow.
A quick question for some and I apologize if this has already been asked. What is the competition like? I found the patent info.
Cheers
PNEW,
Not sure what you mean be "the real long term holder."
I still own quite a few shares. Also it's worth noting that just because someone is a long at one point doesn't mean they can't change their mind based on circumstances or do you not think it's possible for someone to change their mind about a company? Isn't it possible that I was just as long as you until the company flat out failed? Why try and find a conspracy theory about me to justify your loss in PBLS? Why not look directly at those responsible. Paul and Ron.
Up until a week or so ago I had not sold a single share. I think anyone that holds a stock for
a year or more can be considered a long...don't you?
BTW If a lawsuit ever was initiated and had legs it wouldn't be my fault or any other investors fault. It would be the companies fault. If the company has violated SEC laws (which I think they have) then it needs to be brought to the attention of the proper authorities.
Obviously you didn't read the last part were
it was posted that it was 10K and proven.
IRA and certs.
Actually I got a letter from Ameritrade with instructions on how to convert both IRA shares and non-IRA shares for the preferred deal. PBLS must have given them the heads up on it.
Asus
I certainly can't deny that. Been one of those weeks I suppose.
I do still think good money can be made on PBLS..just not what I originally beleived.
Momentum
One thing that is interesting is that everyone I know that has recieved certs so far has said they say 997M Authorized...mine includes.
I've always speculated that means the company hasn't dilute further. I don't know if that is really what it means, but it sure seems possible. I think we all agree that PBLS hasn't traded like 1.75B shares outstanding. And despite me run of insanity I still believe PBLS has a shot at something, but like you said management will have to clarify a lot before the investing public will reward them with a fair multiple.
Cheers.
LOL
I just discovered that I could ignore myself on raging bull.
This is perfect for my split personalaity. Now I can be long on pbls and ignore my inner basher.
LOL.. I gotta get a life.
PBLS.
A bounce is likely in the short term, but based on past records subpenny is even more likely. I figure we bounce on whatever smoke blowing pr they issue this week, but then as soon as people take some profits it's subpenny we go.
PBLS will never open up. But I will always hold a few million shares in the event I'm wrong. It's my little way of ensuring that Ron Blackburn never beats me. I'm going to flip this stock until I'm riding free shares and then I'm going to flip to keep adding shares.
PBLS might as well accept me as a permanent long term flipper of this stock. Either they eventually open up or I'll flip and rebuy until I own the company. Then I'll do the one thing that will matter more than anything else: Kick management to the curb.
Ok I'm talking to much crap...back to my beer.
BTW I have a buy order at .011...and a sell order at .018.
Cheers.
when do we leave?
I can second that. I was the first
person to talk with Mike the day after the last pr. Mike was extremely concerned with what he saw.
I'll probably start buying back a little pretty soon. I think we bounce. I was thinking a straight run to subpenny, but a small 20-50% bounce might be in play....might not.
lowfloat
I like this theory. IMO this would be MUCH better than if the company used all the the shares for aquisitions. I think this is the best hypothesis so far.
ethannacy1
Search through Shiz'z postings yesterday and you will find the information. It was actually 10K and not 100K. Ignore my wording from the post as I was a little iritated at the time.
Basically I heard from FM that Paul was taking 100K from the company. FM obviously made a mistake and meant to say 10K.
Like I said they posted the documents to the board yesterday to help resolve the issue.
Whirl I'd take that
deal in a heartbeat. But not with a five year restriction and not without some sort of legal guarantee.
So I was thinking. During the Katrina spike we ran to 12 cents with ~400M shares. This time we rand to 3.4 cents with 1.75B shares. It was about the same.
1.74/.4 = 4.35
4.35 * 3.4 = 14.79.
Our last run was equivalent to a run to 14.79 cents when you factor in the share count. Of course that assumes that all shares are in the float which we all hope is not the case. It sure doesn't seem like it was trading with a 1.75B share float, but then some of us longs are bullheaded enough to just hold onto our shares for dear life.
Lake,
I agree about not having a moderator battle. Asus certainly has a right to laugh though. I'm not going to make it an issue with anyone. I don't really think people on the boards can do much to a stock. The companies are ultimately responsible for all. If PBLS had posted 'real' numbers then everything would have been peachy.
Hey I never censored a view.
the only posts I ever deleted were those that were repetitive or derogatory. I never once censored a view. I countered a lot of views, but I never censored.
The biggest problem with most people posting negative views is they harp the same thing day in and day out with nothing to back it up.
I drank the cool-aid right along with everyone else. I got defensive and defended that which should have been obvious...and now is.
I still hold a lot of shares....and I still intend to make a profit on them....I just won't be retiring on them.
FM agreed.
let's let it go on the boards.
I don't like you and it's obvious you don't like me.
Let's don't trash the board over it.
Last post about it from my end.
So why did frank make it sound like 100K
to me. this is on topic.BTW.
Spinning th e story?
you mean like telling matt I was bashing PBLS to buy lower?
Frank you flat out said Paul Alonzo was taking 100K a week and you didn't specify any more. You bashed him and Ron harder than I did. You and Ray came up with that crap about Paul Not me. In rays' defense he at least said it was for a house. You on the other had made it sound much much different.
BTW don't bother replying. I don't really care about my reputation or your pathetic response.
Paul lied, you lied. I can't say as much about Ray. Perhaps I have taken some out no him from anger that he didn't deserve, but you are flat out lying on these boards right now. You know it, I know it, and Ray knows it.
You want to do the honest think? turn the board over to Ren and let him pick new moderators. I'm posting that on the PBLS board as well. Let's see if you clowns step up to the plate.
Truth is it started with a phone call to Frank. FMI.
He told me he had proof that Paul Alonzo was taking 100K out of the company a week. He told me that we should drive the price down and buy back in so we could flip to even. Granted we were both very pissed that day. In fact his posts were more negative than mine for a day or so.
Ray (Shiz) has just about sold all his shares. Talk to either of them on the phone and you will very quickly see who is and who is not a supporter of PBLS.
Me. I'm pissed. PBLS let me down. I sold 1M the other day, but I still own 4M. I'm going to play that stock the same way the company does. I'll trade myself to even and then let a few million shares ride. Do I believe PBLS will survive as a company? Of course. Look around the pinks and it's still obvious that PBLS is "more" "real" than most, but you can forget shareholders ever getting a large payday.
OH and one more thing PBLS is going to start spinning out divisions to other companies...wonder how shareholders will benefit from that?
Anyway just felt the need to at least get my side out...not that it matters. Truth is I'm glad I don't have to run that board anymore. Now I can speak my mind.
Cheers
So frank
will you tell the board about the money Paul is taking? Since you are the the one who told me about it?
Ray,
why not share with the board how Paul Alonzo is taking 100K a week fro mthe company? Scared it will hurt your precious investment?
Ok..I'll play
.10 ---- LMAO
.050 ---- .005%
.040 ---- 1%
.030 ---- 25%
.025 ---- 70%
.015 ---- 70%
.010 ---- 50%

PNEW,
Do you ever feel like the house mother at a frat house?
absolutely!
