MOMO....thats the wrong stock for you. This company is for real and will take off. No short term investment , sorry!
Kitty...with all respect, knowing dilution is a bad thing for us shareholders, but selling shares is the only possibility to stay in business for non profitable companies. Would you prefer chapter 11?
So lets get to breakeven and think about a share buyback later. WHEN this company gets there, we'll see REAL volume with REAL amounts of money trading(in the multi-hundret-million shares a day). The SP will explode and an OS of 300M will not be sufficient to handle the demand. This is why companies make forward splits.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we are there, but investing is about DD and a strong believe in a companies potential. With stocks like SOLM you have more risk, but the reward scenario is more interesting. Look at the market right now. So called BlueChips have lost up to 90 percent, I guess SOLM SP has already lost everything to loose, so make your bet.
It's important to have both sides of the coin here, so I welcome your posts, but in your case I'm not sure. Believe me most of us have much more than about 200 bucks invested here....
Have a nice weekend all

Hey Barge,
Got kicked off Ihub awhile ago after dueling with admin (not snacks). Can't stand censorship and told them so very bluntly....LOL. So I'd thought an update here would be fun.
Anyway, I spoke with SKS a number of times about WXP sale after the Olympics Pilot and even hooked him up with west coast players. My contacts saw the value, but not what they were looking for to buy.
BTW, WXP did not make anything on pilot with NBC/Olympics, which was agreed upon up front. The whole thing was a live test of the WXP business model with Lenevo being the sponsor that paid the players involved. Microsoft also wanted more focus on positive Vista OS. So money was not the key issue involved. The Olympics validated the WXP technology on a world-wide stage and now provides a strong case study for someone to sell to others.
Bottom line, I got the impression SKS definately wanted to sell, not take on a partner. WXP business model is so different from Wave it would make sense to sell the company.
IMO, they will dump WXP very soon and focus on core offering. Don't see Wave getting much money back from their ROI. But most companies got NOTHING back on their investments during the Internet bubble days. At least Wave kept it's head above water and looks like they are finally learning how to swim. Time will tell if they get accross the pool or drwn trying.
I see lots of old (and angry) ex wavoids here...to bad many lost money. I am on the list of taking a paper loss too...but I GET the big picture and honestly see the company surving and hitting breakeven soon.
I'll go back to lurking so you all can continue the interesting dialouge. Just thought my personal communication with SKS would be helpful to some.
good luck all..john
Thanx WM!/eom

Sad to see this ship sinking. There are two things for sure.....
1. The Wave/STX/Dell solution is the BEST available in the market
2. Sometimes the BEST solution doesn't win the race
BTW, I assume Wave has about 30 sales guys. With about 230K upgrade revenues, each sold about 8000 bucks in a SINGLE quarter. Quite IMPRESSIVE!
I'm not disappointed anymore, just upset!
BR
ISPRO
AWK...I know this, my point was that talking about challenges doesn't help anyone. Spread the word talk to IT guys about FDEs and TPM, make them selling Dell products in small volumes. 10K small vendors (worldwide) with 50 Latitudes per quarter are about 4M bucks in Waves coffers per Q.
Too much?
10K small vendors WORLDWIDE?
50 Latitudes per Q?
Sometimes thinking in BIG numbers hurts especially IF they don't occur!

CC: Challenge....Education!!!LOL
Go out and sell the stuff! If Software FDE vendors can sell, we should be able to sell the STXFDETDM solution.
At least I've begun to sell this stuff (just added 72,5 bucks for Waves Q3, again). And trust me, it was not that hard to sell those 10 D630/FDE notebooks.....
I'm really disappointed

No for streaming the Silverlight environment is sufficient. Perhaps TVT is the best solution to record(cache) the games.
BR
ISPRO
The new version of TVTonic is based on Silverlight technology, IMO. Many developer will use Silverlight to bring their content to the customer. Remember the time when many Webdesigner used Flash instead of HTML to develop websites. A simple example: If you're developing applikations in the .NET environment, you can simply bring parts of your app to the web with Silverlight, what my company is already doing. And BTW why do you think is the coverage by TVTonic only available for VIsta Ultimate/Home Premium users?
BR
ISPRO
KEEP RACING
Mig, Wildman....Silverlight is the TECHNOLOGY which competes with FLASH. TVTonic is based on this technology, nothing more nothing less.YouTube uses Flash to deliver video content for example....
We all should take care, TVTonic is a service set up on Silverlight technology, many others will follow! At least we have the Olympics and as Barge says, TVTonic is the PERFECT digital videorecorder.

July 7, 2008 (IDG News Service) Video software developer Gotuit Media Inc. has sued Microsoft Corp., claiming that its Silverlight multimedia software infringes several of the company's patents.
Gotuit Media filed the suit last week in federal court in San Francisco, claiming that Silverlight infringes on three Gotuit patents that cover ways of making videos searchable on the Internet.
Released last year, Silverlight is Microsoft's alternative to the Flash and QuickTime multimedia formats. Heavily promoted by Microsoft, it lets Windows users watch video or animated graphics through their browsers.
Gotuit sells software that lets users add text data to video clips, making it possible to search and sort through videos for the parts they want. The software has been used on several high-profile Web sites, including those of Sports Illustrated and the National Hockey League.
In court filings, Gotuit says that Silverlight infringes on its patents because it too gives users a way to enhance video with "metadata tags in order to enable video search and navigation and provide a personalized viewing experience."
"Microsoft has infringed and is still infringing the patents," Gotuit says in its complaint.
The company cites Microsoft's upcoming on-demand video coverage of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on NBCOlympics.com as infringing behavior, because the Web site uses Silverlight to tag video and make it searchable.
The suit seeks an injunction preventing Microsoft from using the technology and asks the court to award damages and legal fees.
Founded in 2000, Gotuit counts Motorola Inc. and venture capital firms Highland Capital Partners LLC and Atlas Venture among its investors.
The Woburn, Mass., company's outside counsel, Spencer Hosie, declined to comment on the lawsuit.
Reached Thursday, a Microsoft representative was unable to comment on the suit.
