That won’t happen. PLUG doesn’t have the money that it would take to buy us because ExxonMobil has too much of a stake and interest in us to let that happen. I really doubt we will be bought unless it is to prevent bankruptcy... and the only company I would foresee buying us is ExxonMobil.
Yes. FCEL is still in the process of straightening things out... but in that $1.5 Billion partnership deal PLUG got, there could very well be a need for the type fuel cells we produce, which is why we are moving up. We have a history in SK and could very well get another contract for a fuel cell park from KOSPO based on the success of the first one we built for them.
PLUG markets a different type of fuel cell. They are not competition for our products.
Well PLUG got a sweet deal... hopefully we can get in on something like that!
Sooner than you thought???? It should already have been there based on your past posts!
While I only have a small investment in GBTC... the shares I fo have I got at a little over $7 and a little over $11 in February and August respectively.
Bitcoin is definitely on fire!!! I checked when I went to bed lasr night and it was a little over $29,550. I was curious to see if it hit $30,000 while I was sleeping, so I just checked when I got up and it was $30,886!!!
Its the time between Christmas and New Years... volume is always low at this time of the year.
My target the next 3 trading days is $12.50. We shall see what happens.
Cue Metallica’s “Sad But True”
With tomorrow being the last trading day of the week, you gonna stand by this prediction that we will hit $9.00 at some point by the end of the week? Personally, the only way I see that happening is if we release a negative press release about project delays or cancellations, or if somehow the results of the election are overturned before trading closes tomorrow.
Similar... I sold some last week at $13.62... but in need of diversification, I invested most of it into a couple dividend-paying stocks. However, I just used what I had remaining and got some shares back, albeit about 1/10 of what I sold (however, I had sold less than 5% of what I was holding last week).
Exactly. So you understand my position now.
Due to the recent run-up, the value of my holdings in FCEL is currently about 70% of the value of my Roth IRA... don’t you think a little diversification would be good? Haven’t you heard of the old adage “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”?
I will say, while it is a very small investment (just under $500, but that is not that small when it comes to my portfolio), I am thrilled I got some share of GBTC in Feb a little over $7/share and some more around August or September a bit over $11/share... I have 42 shares total). Nothing compared to my investment in AMRN. But I am thrilled, since GBTC plummeted on Thursday to a bit over $27... and based on what Bitcoin has done since then, it will probably open over $29 or $30 tomorrow, if the price of Bitcoin is close to where it is now. I believe GBTC owns a little over 3% of all Bitcoins.
And I recall at that point you saying it would go to $5.00 or even $4.50. NICE CALL!!! Glad I bought some of what I had sold a few days before back at $6.67. Used what I hadn't diversified into a couple dividend-paying stocks by then.
I have been in this stock since 2001... accumulating shares little by little all along. At one point, I was 97% in the red on paper. But I stuck with it and am finally nicely into the green... Over the last 3 months or so, I have sold about 20% of my holdings, trying to lock in a bit of profits on the nice run. With all my shares over 19 years, my cost average is currently about $5.75/share (including the shares I bought at $0.26). So, overall, its not close to a 5000% profit... only on those shares.
I bought in November of 2019 at $0.26/share.
Yes, thank you. I have a set core position and am willing to "trade" the rest on dips and peaks. I do regret my first sell a few months ago at $3.41. LOL But had sooooo much in paper losses over the years, I have taken advantage of recouping some of my investment and diversifying my portfolio some.
Nope. Been here for all its up and downs over the last 19 years or so. If it goes back down, I’ll buy back what I have sold over the last few months snd maybe even more than that.
Nervous about what? Definitely have been excited! I sold about 4% of my shares today for quite a nice profit. Enjoying the ride finally, after being in this stock since 2001.
We will find out in less than an hour... let’s hope so!
I am quite pleased with AMRN today, as it is my 2nd biggest holding. But check out my biggest holding, FCEL. God bless being poor and having everything in my Roth IRA. LOL
Simple YES or NO answer please... have you covered your short yet?
Wow... Wow... Wow...
Yep... I saw that. I wonder if there was some sort of underhanded actions/bribery that led to the decision.
While its great to seek having this decision reversed, this wasn’t exactly the press release any of us were hoping to see this morning.
Thank you! Guess Hikma refilled their supply
Well, looks like there is some profit-taking and a needed sell-off in the industry this morning... unless there is news I am not aware of. But healthy, steady upward trends always have some negative days as part of them.
Carlos really needs to issue SOME sort of press release! Even if it is just a general statement that says we are working on getting the finances in order, developing a new product, increasing production, etc... SOMETHING!!!! You can run a public company and not have a press release for over 6 months!!!
Okay... I see Hoghead’s post now and am about to look at the article.
Heat regarding what? Climate-change issues and they need to speed up the carbon-capture prospects?
Glad that has worked for you! I hate when market manipulators try to trigger stop-losses to steal people’s shares.
NEVER, EVER use a stop-loss, unless it is a trailing stop... that is at least acceptable. Not even sure if that is done anymore... something my dad used to twll me about, but I never used one.
Okay, cool. Yes that is the info I am looking for... can’t do too much research when at work, LOL.
Ahhh, thank you! That would explain it.
I see that... curious as to what caused that sudden jump though.
I am more than aware of that... I was messaging people Saturday afternoon while at the FSU/Duke football game trying to find out what the results showed. I was referring to the sudden jump from about $4.99 to around $5.50 in a matter of a couple minutes earlier, before it pulled back down to where it is now.
Anybody have any idea what cause the sudden spike, though it has now pulled back about 25 cents from it?
Thank you! Looking good right now!
