HKD just printed $652?! SEC should be all over this "investment" IMO
Great call on SOTK($5.09) short! Did you cover yet?
HKD now printing $448 !? Look out below when this balloon finally pops...
SLRK pre-tax income 2016-21: $0.9M,$1.7M,$2.9M,$4.6M,$7.7M,$14.7M...
and 2022 is trending to $20+M
With that LT track record, I'm happy to be patient with the liquidity issue that scares you away...
Added a few SLRK($11); Q2 $1.19 vs $.71; trailing 12-month EPS $3.33
Anybody following HKD? IPO'd @$7.80 7/15, hit $254 today!
Mets’ poison pen strikes again ??
I added a few SGMA on that backlog jump...thanks for the headsup...
Thanks cliff!
MHO($45.17) looks incredibly cheap; any theory as to why they don't pay a dividend? TIA
Thanks again jtomm, good stuff
Thanks for the comments and the link, jtomm...much appreciated. Did you actually listen to the presentation yesterday? A big worry in the story for me is that the company stops getting Federal $$ for Covid testing. I recall from the Q1 CC that Karkus wasn't very convincing that Federal remuneration was locked down for the rest of the year (or even Q2). Did Karkus address this issue?
I too still have an AYSI cusip and # of shares on my statement. However I've never run across any indication that shareholders will be getting any additional $$...
That's some mark-down sale on PRPH! Can you flesh out the issue with Karkus and the analyst? What firm is he with?
BUKS($.83): a director picked up 400000 @$.88/share today...nice vote of confidence!
DIT up another $31 today to $224!
DIT surging $26 to $190 today on a very strong earnings report. Got any left? What's your current view on this one? TIA
Great timing on TZA, congrats!
Just tried to short a few NSYS($18.50), but A-turd had no shares to borrow...
SMED($2.87) announces a buyout @$8.75/share...what a premium!
NSYS($17.06) printing all-time high?!
Rubicon Stock Soars Toward 6 1/2-year High After Janel To Buy Large Stake At A 120% Premium -- MarketWatch
Shares Rubicon Technology Inc. (RBCN) soared 70.0% toward a 6 1/2-year high in premarket trading Tuesday, after Janel Corp. (JANL) launched a tender offer to buy a 45% interest in the optical systems company for $20.00 a share. The price of the tender offer represents a 119.8% premium to Friday's closing price of $9.10. The tender offer is expected to kick off within the next 10 business days and is expected to be completed about 30 days after the start. Rubicon said once the tender offer is completed, it will pay a special dividend of $11.00 a share to its shareholders. And after the closing, two current board member will resign and Janel will have the right to select their replacements, and Rubicon plans to start the process of voluntarily delisting its stock from the Nasdaq. Rubicon's stock has gained 1.5% year to date through Friday, while the S&P 500 has dropped 19.7%.
Still bearish, huh? Thanks for the reminder...it feels like hours since you've brought us up to speed.
Does SPRS qualify?
Added a few INBP @$.50 today; 17 consecutive profitable quarters
re EPM: $500M shelf registration on 6/3 doesn't give you pause?
Thanks for the detailed reply, SSK...good luck!
Interest rates going up is no secret and hasn't been for months. Yet KBWB (a representative bank ETF) has been sliding most of the year and is down 30+% off its high. If higher rates are going to be so good for financials, why does the KBWB stock action reflect the exact opposite? TIA
Opinions please: market reaction if Fed doesn't raise 75 basis points? I think we see a selloff with 50 or 100 bp moves. Hope Fed Chmn Powell is ready for some tough questioning this afternoon...
All valid points, bb...
re FRD($8.90): I too hope that this quarter is the end of the company's misguided hedging efforts. The quarterly loss of about $7M suggests that may be the case. I'm holding on for a look at what the ''new" FRD looks like post-acquisition. I think the now-delayed upcoming 10-K should have some pro-formas in that respect.
Anecdotally, steel industry giant NUE announced today that their June quarter will be the company's best ever, FWIW
Channeling your inner Wade I see?
swamp, do you run every post through an english-to-chinese-to-english translation app before posting? Asking for a friend...
MICS major partner Stingray Group, Inc. bought 100K@$4 in the offering yesterday, according to a Form 4 just filed...
SMDM did a 1-for-30 reverse split, new symbol MICS
Good luck with CODA; surprised you're back in bed with Annmarie, you've spoken so highly of her in the past :)
CMPD did a 1-for-25 reverse split, new symbol CMPDD
VTSI($4.70) prints another new low; are you averaging down here, or have you exited the clown show? TIA
Yes, very glad to see this on AESE. The CC should be very interesting. I'm hoping for a special dividend, although I don't put high odds on getting one. They said in their 5/17 NT 10-Q filing that they have about $96M in cash/equivalents/restricted cash, which equates to about $2.45/share
It sucks...period. I don't know of any others that would take this route, but then again I never would have thought that WCRS would either. I guess I'll see what their annual tender offer is $$/share, because I can't sell at these levels!
