Ask mmpr about the figures he's worked them out.
Well in every business there is revenue but there is also expenses.
Also I won't be open 365 days a year.
Gotta re-supply this pot distribution machine too! That ain't free.
But eagle, you think these compassion clubs are opening at staggering numbers cause they wanna help people!!
Yep. Dime a dozen. The "unwilling to earn" burnouts are loving that task force recommendation.
Free money !!!
What cop is gonna ask a teen smoking pot for ID or for proof of where it was purchased.
The liberals want tax revenue but I fear they are too stupid to understand how to get it!
So you think every low income home who grows pot won't sell it? None?
What % of these home grows will make $ off their home grow.
My circle, I don't know one person who would grow it themselves. Many low income people who exploit employment insurance and welfare will though.
Imagine, collect welfare all year, supplement it with $50 a week of cold hard non taxable cash from selling crappy pot at a fraction of the price of legal pot.
Every kid in the school yard will want that cheap pot. Mommy and daddy give pittances for allowance. Little johnny won't be buying premium bud with it
Oh the hypocrisy
IN all honesty the liberals will follow the California laws where there is like 15 types of licenses to distribute Cannabis.
I'll invest in the guys who grow and sell without the rediculous security requirements that cut into their bottom line.
Current LPs are great for medication. Totally over blown for Rec. Especially when the Street pot will be much bigger
I'll invest in Rec, not med
Imagine how much of that home grow bunk will be sold on playgrounds lmfao.
Black market will grow 10 fold.
Nobody knows the difference between an LP and a dispensary.
Go ask 10 random people (non pot investor or burnout) who supplies dispensaries. They either won't know or will assume it's an LP.
Edibles are everywhere and I've had people tell me they bought from Aurora as well as other LPs.
Cause that's what they were told.
Obviously Aurora ain't selling edibles.
You can make anyone believe they are following the law. People are stupid and won't research where their bud comes from when it's being passed around or offered at social outings.
I've been approached by a colleague asking if I was interested in opening a dispensary.
I am going to do it. A silent partner since I know nothing about it except that some idiots spend every penny they have on it
Great money ($2-$3k) per day on my $75k investment. Police only raid if I sell Rec and so if I stick to medical bud to medical patients (self diagnosed illness allowed) I am on the side of the law where police won't bother with me.
The only idiots being raided are the Emerys and other hippy scoff laws who have an utter disregard for the law. Any dispensary who "kinda" disregards the law is left alone.
Gonna ask CGC mgmt if they want to supply me. They won't be allowed but I'll ask anyhow. I know another LP supplying dispensaries, I'll get bulk dry bud from them.
I'll make much more profit than Cgc since I'll sell edibles, non-nerf'd oils and concentrates and I'll have little overhead.
As it stands home grow is allowed only for medical purposes. Due to it being unconstitutional to not allow it. Not sure if you knew or not but the ACMPR is a program for Cannabis for medical purposes.
Rec is much different.
Whether they allow it or not... I don't care.
My entire point from the beginning was that I find it humorous that they project pot as evil and dangerous to kids, yet the liberals task force recommend that home grow be allowed.
How is making it more available to kids by having it at their homes (or friends homes) supposed to "keep kids safe"
The hypocrisy of it all.
You seemed to have missed my point and then directed the topic to somewhat of an anarchy debate.
I'd prefer the liberals just come out and say they want tax revenue from this abused substance rather than pretending they are only doing this for the poor kids.
Although hippy activists are an annoyance to the gov't. By no means do they shape the laws.
The govt will only pander to their constituents or at the very least people who can help them.
These pot smoking hippies can't offer society anything and so they are wasting their breath.
That pic reminds me of the anti trump protestors, or the black lives matter protestors...
Or every protest which has fallen on deaf ears
Ummm go look at the amount of people locked up for minor drug offences.
The government has the power to say what is legal or illegal.
You're pretty much saying the government has no power to stop murder, drug abuse, illegal fire arms distribution or ANY illegal activity for that matter - since it happens daily.
Don't confuse people's free will with a lack of power from the government.
We may hate them, but without them we'd all be dead or at the least, living on scraps and morcels as the strongest gangs continually raped and pillage us.
Don't bite the hand that feeds
Control the process by allowing home grow? Or at least recommended by the TF.
Liberals are dumber than we thought if they take this recommendation.
Do you think Bruce realizes the patient count of MT will be a shell of what it once was after patients leave due to no supply?
If I need meds, and my supplier shyts the bed, lost everything and had to start a grow cycle over, pretty sure any logical human would seek meds elsewhere. I don't think it's bold to assume Mt lost half their patients after this.
Just like Organigram will. You think Cgc buys that defunct LP too?
I respectfully disagree. The government will never allow a free for all. Whether that's right or wrong is irrelevant.
The government is greedy. I don't see them doing anything that wouldn't be extremely beneficial to them.
Full regulation is their meal ticket.
I hope that's not why they acquired them! Lol
36 million shares of their company for patients and doctors?!?
Really concerned how the majority of investors will react to this Organigram scandal right after the MT scandal and right after the Aphria scandal.
Start ups make mistakes like this all the time and it's a bold reminder at how we are at ground floor of a new industry and all LP investments are still considered very high risk.
Can't argue that
Agreed. Ain't it funny when that one fool MT share holder said he was voting the deal down because Mettrum had a better outlook then Cgc.
I giggle
You make a good point that OGI might be a victim of buying tainted wholesale.
But why is an certified organic grower selling non organic supply?
How's that work.
Organigram. Certified organic...sometimes.
It's silly to think that in the case of a full crop loss that it would not affect an LP in a major way.
As a patient, Would you sit by loyally waiting for your meds to be grown and harvested? Or would you move on to another LP.
I think it's clear at this point, that MT needed Cgc big time.
So you think the traces on MT or OGI for that matter were only on product already distributed? It was an isolated incident? Only 1 crop was sprayed and then they simply stopped using it.
Isn't it a safe bet that if some had traces that the entire yield would?
I think it's a long shot that they would randomly stop using the pesticide just before HC found the breach.
Now look at MT inventory. Empty shelves.
Now the fact that they were absorbed by CGC so soon after.
Let's put 2 and 2 together.
CGC offered a life line to a defeated MT after their full crop loss and incinerated inventory.
You think CGC offers the same olive branch to Organigram?
We might see another defunct LP coming under the canopy soon enough
Could be a good play
I smell opportunity.
Canopy should buy up all these near bankrupt LPs and build a mighty empire
Wow CGC competitor Organigram issues recall for pesticides.
Didn't know Organic used pesticides lol
So much for certified organic. How embarrassing. Entire brand destroyed.
This one will hurt. And if history repeats, CGC will be looking to buy these guys too.
Interesting link offered on another board.
https://www.mettrum.com/shop/strains/#/?attributes=all&available=true&category=all
Seems like MT lost everything.
This take over has become quite obvious at this point. CGC throwing MT a very expensive life line.
Frankly Tweed/Bedrocan would've been the recipient of a lot of MT patients for free when they left due to no inventory.
A lot of new info coming out that I'm sure CGC doesn't like.
Crop loss and destroyed inventory seems like a great reason for Haines to sell out.
Still say Bruce paid way too much for MT.
Tough to rebound from crop loss.
Do you think CGC pulls pin on this merger now? Not to mention that the entire crop is ruined but MT most definitely has had to destroy entire inventory.
Not good at all.
Lol. Dont hold your breath. Don't think they'll be answering you
Green relief got cultivators same day as THC. SL got it a month later. I'm not worried. I'm expecting green relief to get there's first.
Also, I'm quite sure Fowler took his time submitting a sample to third party. He's more concerned with filling the vault in order to get a steady revenue stream. He can't tell his buyers he has no product.
A sales license with an empty vault does nothing.
He needs inventory more than a sales.
Jmo
Not one LP has failed to get a sales after a cultivators. 8-12 months is the average timeline.
Who cares when the sales comes. The company is filling the vault. A sales license is a decent trading catalyst but I'm in it for more than a trade.
Fill that vault
Thanks fir the play by play. You offer so much to the board.
I know he's promoted "leafs" or whatever his brand is that CGC sells.
I'm unaware of whether this is an exclusive thing or if every US pot shop can sell it.
I'm sure Snoop, being the business man that he is will either allow all retail outlets to sell it OR if it's exclusive to Tweed he'll simply abandon it as he's already picked up the check.
Anyhow, I still say it's wasted money to retain Snoop-a-loop so long before rec. one of my few complaints on what management has done. But that's just my opinion which ain't worth much.
I'm guessing Aphria (CGC's most direct competitor) has a plan to acquire the promotional services of another one of north Americas most famous burnouts. I wonder who?
There are so many of them to choose from.
Organigram signed with the Trailer Park Boys and if you haven't seen the show you need to. It's art.
To be quite honest, the task force recommendations made it clear (to me) that there won't be any advertising or promoting Cannabis.. even packaging will appear like military individual meal packaging.
Which tells me it's a game of the largest and lowest cost producers who will succeed.
Of course maybe the liberals ignore the branding thing that their Task force recommended.
After all, I have it on good authority that prime minister Trudeau owned Tweed stocks before he was elected PM. Unsure whether or not he still holds.
Everybody wants to make money. Liberals have proven to be the most greedy when it comes to pay to play deals as well as conflict of interest stuff. Perhaps history will repeat and it will create a big vacuum for CGC.
Best to have a basket approach to these pot stocks but CGC certainly has some early advantages.
I think so too. Just super weird that he does nothing for Tweed. He supports his own brand, why doesn't he earn his money by atleast uttering the word Tweed.
He's a business man. Been using his name very well and getting millions for nothing. IMO.
Maybe there is better plans for him and Tweed on the horizon.
Can you decipher any of those strains? Is that a dumb question? Curious to know what they are growing and getting consensus retail price from other LPs.
More like 10c a gram lol. Very smart to grow outdoor.
Low overhead, winter months has zero over head.
Most casual Rec users won't know the difference.
Yield can be focused on extracts too.
Aphria is the best play of all LPs in my opinion.
Doing it quietly.
It would be nice. My stop loss is set. I have every bit of my margin, LOC and half my TFSA waiting to buy on this catastrophe.
I'm not willing to put those funds toward CGC/MT at this time.
I'm a puzzy
I like your confidence. Btw our Mettrum buys are looking good. It'll only look better as it gets closer to vote. Unless something catastrophic happens to sp.
You're welcome. It is poetry.
Thanks man. I've already been audited a couple years back on the rental property. So I think I'm under the magnifying glass
we will still get together eventually and drink good wine together and laugh about lex
