"He knows he’s right but is starting to crack and is lying on the floor in his office"
After the past 6 months, I could have played the part for this scene without any practice...
Wonder if the folks that bought at $4 followed this concept. They waited for a 65% drop in price, blood everywhere, fear, loathing, and all the whinning/crying one can imagine.
They probably followed this age old adage. Well, they are on a 50% loss right now. What would you tell these folks? Where did they go wrong?
Wow TC, I'm not sure why this post struck such a cord with you. I suppose I could talk about cldx, or AF, or how these prices are such a wonderful buying opportunity. Maybe that would find your favor?
How about I throw in a few wildly pro NWBO speculative posts about how the FDA has intervened to stop the trial even though Linda doesn't want to, or maybe something convincing about how we will surely hear about AA any day now (stay tuned), even though LP has said that idea is wrong. Would that earn me a pat on the back?
Instead I post about the relentless drop in price, my concerns about future financing, investigations into very serious allegations, and yes I admit, a few good natured jabs at the day traders that post here constantly hoping to move the price up and down to make a few bucks.
So just to recap, there are some folks that post here 24/7, most of it absolute nonsensical speculation. I spend very little time here and post a couple of times per day at most. And I annoy you more than anyone else? Okay, better take turtle off ignore and add me. Maybe if my posts had less truth they wouldn't bother you as much?
I wish I had exciting positive things to say about NWBO. I really do. But for your sake good sir, I will try to limit my negativity.
Down 7% for no logical reason. Guess it's back to the 1's. For all of you who bought more on the little head fake last week, you should be excited about the upcoming chance to buy even more under $2. Just don't think about the 20% loss you've had in a week on those shares at $2.50. Are we having fun yet?
Oh yeah, and still no news on L or Direct. But of course :)
Yes, she has publically stated that several times. Yet some here continue to dangle the idea of NWBO applying for AA as a possibility. I just like to remind the board of how fictional that idea really was.
Notice how BMY publicly announced the recommendation by their DMC to stop the trial early. I am more and more convinced that is not what happened here.
2007: 1 for 15 reverse split
2012: 1 for 16 reverse split
2016?
This has really turned into quite the penny stock. All I can do is shake my head and lol.
But yous jus weight. Them shorts gonna get the bigist a$$ whompin u evr sceen!!
I am pleased with the recent addition of the independent directors. I still believe that a CFO would be beneficial to alleviate some of the concerns of the market, but I understand LP's desire to retain sole control over the dealings between her public and private companies.
Does anyone else wonder why institutional investors won't touch this stock at $2.20? Don't fool yourself for one minute that you have found an undiscovered gem in the rough that nobody else is aware of yet. The big fish have all reviewed NWBO and decided to pass. Why?
Does it matter that the patient being discussed is compassionate use and not part of the trial? Would the regulatory agencies be a little more lenient with allowing an enhanced version of the vaccine under compassionate use since it would not confound the trial results?
I would start by looking at folks that front run with tweets and articles conveniently right before 20% or 30% intraday drops in price for no other apparent reason.
I would look at naked short sales, fails to deliver, and dark pool trading on these days.
I would look for patterns of coordinated hedge funds trading with each other to manipulate the price.
I would look at folks who go out of their way to stir up accusations of impropriety by DR's with conflicts of interest in other clinical trials and then brag about it.
I would look at Phase 5. If the allegations in their report are false, (need to disprove everything first) then nail those SOB's too.
So, we know where to look, let's get on it already Mr. Price...
I've been waiting a long time. That's what makes the financial part so hard to swallow. The money and the time.
Maybe, Flipper, maybe. We've been in limbo a long time. Something has to give soon.
Sorry Flipper that doesn't convince me that nothing untoward is going on. It could be there's a serious issue with Cognate, in which case NWBO will not be able to continue either of it's trials. Come to think of it, that would partially explain the delay in Direct Phase 2. It could be an issue with another regulatory agency. It could be a self imposed hold for God knows why. I'm glad you feel better about things after reading this. It does nothing for me.
I strongly feel that certain folks know exactly what's going on and hence the current price. Just look at the evidence of "leaks" in material non-public information that seem to occur rather blatantly.
Need I remind you of concerns I posted several months ago about information being hacked or lines being tapped?? There's a reason we are in the 2's and I don't think it's due to anything positive.
I just want something substantive straight from the source that everything is on track. I highly doubt we get anything next week. Please prove me wrong, Linda. PLEASE!!
Have a great weekend.
Yep still here desperately looking for answers to all of my questions. Linda's making big $, the shorts are making big $, the day traders are making big $. The only folks losing $ are those who believed in the company and supported it with a buy and hold strategy. We've lost our shirts and we should be wearing cashmere. And the chicanery continues.
Flipper how does this pertain to anything in my post?
Whew! For a minute there I was really confused. Thought I was on the YMB.
I always love the energy on this board leading into a conference or presentation by LP. Same predictable sources, it almost feels contagious... I accurately called it a few days ago didn't I??
Guess it does provide a welcome distraction from the questions about the partial clinical hold, the uncertain future of the clinical trials, the investigstions, lawsuits, and the necessary dilution we will certainly face this year as pointed out by SoS yesterday. All of that just fades into the background as expectations of PR's "Friday after the close", or "Monday before the open" are tossed around as foregone conclusions. Sometimes it even leads to a little run up in price.
Cha-ching cha-ching for the day traders and short term option players. All under the guise of long term holders patiently waiting for that glorious day when the FDA ship comes in. The reality of no news usually sets back in quickly after the presentation. And there's a lull until the next one. Then it's rinse and repeat.
For the folks that really did believe in the story a few months ago and bought at the top, you are now only down 80% instead of 82%. Woo hoo!!
Have I directed my frustration with this whole situation at the wrong people?? I dunno, maybe. Guess we will know for sure after the determinations from the investigation are released.
Because of all the doubt and uncertainty, I feel one thing is certain. That it is incumbent on the CEO to communicate with shareholders during the recent 85% drop. The silence has absolutely killed the stock. I know some here think she is forced to remain silent, but there are other things she can talk about. Like Direct Phase 2, facility progress, anything. The silence has been a huge misstep in my calculation and has had very unfavorable implications.
Maybe I'm wrong on all of this, maybe it's not as unusual as it seems. I still consider myself a rookie investor. This whole thing has just been so infuriating. Sometimes I feel like we've been duped by the longs, the shorts, and the company. I don't know what to think or who should be held responsible. I'm totally lost. Guess this is what is feels like to be a bag holder..
Did AF and Shkreli learn the ropes from the same folks? Just curious. AF feel free to answer for yourself. Also, a "feeling" about bad news? Sounds like a rec to buy or sell based on a tip. Which stock and what caused the feeling? I wonder if this sort of thing is illegal, but "the SEC doesn't do anything about it because they don't understand it."
Weird, seems like I've heard that before somewhere...
I'm sure most here would agree that one of the most important factors to investing in public companies is the management team and their respective track record in areas of their oversight.
That leads me to a pop quiz. BTW, I was quite disappointed no one even attempted to answer my last future financing projection quiz. Oh well, maybe this one will generate more response.
Question, how many lawsuits or legal action has Linda Powers been a party to (current and settled suits) during her tenure as a venture capitalist? Hint: includes Toucan Investments, Cognate, and NWBO. Complaints range from former employees, to investors, to institutions of higher education.
I'm not sure what, if any, conclusions should be drawn from the seemingly frequent legal action that consistently gravitates toward the same source. It is possible that all of these were/are unwarranted. I just find it to be an interesting trend.
Quite interesting! Yet another example of an issue highlighted in the Phase 5 report that has resulted in further action. First Malik, now the Israeli clinic where DCVAX was being administered shut down by the authorities. What will be the next domino to fall from the Phase 5 report?
But don't listen to me. Listen to the market. It seems to be telling you that something significant is amiss (actually yelling it) with the current price of $2. The few here not playing Ostrich might also be hearing the same warning.
Hopefully I'm wrong and this is the purchase opportunity of a lifetime. But where are all the buyers? I would think the longs here alone could string together more buys than what has been evident in recent days. Guess the folks here are not as convinced about the recent "positive" information from the video as they like to sound. At least not enough to put their $ where their comments are..
I truly hope the science is a breakthrough and will make it to market one day against all odds. Maybe somehow, someway, someone will swoop in and take the reins to save the day. GL
If the 1st IA hasn't occured yet (which I think is unlikely) there is absolutely no way the FDA is looking at any efficacy data. Even if the 1st IA has occurred, the idea that the FDA is jumping in unsolicited is simply ludicrous. Let's not forget that NWBO was in the process of submitting something to a regulatory agency and in an ongoing dialog. They know exactly what is going on. The partial clinic hold remaining in effect tells it all.
Just for fun, let's play along with the crazy theory that the FDA is jumping in to approve DCVAX on their own because the data is so great and they must rush this treatment to market for ethical reasons. If so, why have they halted screening for the last 5 months prohibiting any new patients from receiving their life saving treatment? Like I said, the whole idea is absolutely preposterous and contradictory. I'm frankly surprised that someone like Flipper with a decent amount of knowledge regarding clinical trials doesn't jump in and quash such unrealistic notions.
I find it interesting that folks have so much time to create fantastical ideas not at all based in reality, but at the same time say there isn't enough time to refute the main allegations of the Phase 5 report.
Sure a couple of people tried to investigate a few things. They proved that the report was correct in that several patents were transferred and are currently held by a third party.
They found that the report was correct in that NWBO/Cognate has had operations in Israel for several years. Still don't know where that revenue went.
Don't need to rehash the Malik situation, but the report seems to have exposed something serious enough to interfere with his employment.
Certainly haven't disproven the "nwbo is only a financial vehicle" claim.
Dogood I'm still waiting for you to tell me everything that has been proven false.. Any day now.
Have any of you considered the fact that after the Phase 5 report was released we lost 100's of millions in market cap and that maybe there's a reason?? If so, do you think the huge selloff is because everything in the report is baloney?
He was employed prior to the Phase 5 report, suspended shortly after the report was released, and let go or left shortly thereafter. Yes, I am making some assumptions based on the strong evidence that supports my conclusions.
I am connecting the dots with regard to the decrease in short interest and my knowledge of how toxic financing works.
Please remind me specifically which accusations have been proven to be false. I look forward to your response when I return.
My lunch break is over and I'm signing off. Looking forward to hearing LP speak next week on the topic of accelerating clinical trials.
Quite ironic considering the DCVAX Direct trial non-progress over the last year and the DCVAX L continual delays and partial clinical holds, etc. Maybe she has learned through experience everything not to do. Oh well. Good day!
Flipper, do you think they receive the 74 day letter this week or next?
We only need a 300% gain from here to have another crack at it.
I have attempted to contact multiple times to no avail.
An anonymous group recently shorted the stock and made several million dollars when Linda sold them shares and warrants to cover. I would say this was a very good call on their part wouldn't you? I would really like to know who it was that profited. Do you think you could ask Les sometime?
Interesting that you find my sporadic posts amount to an "unhealthy amount of time", but others who post many many more times than I (literally 24/7) but of the unwaivering bullish variety, seem perfectly tip top? Hmm..
Wish I would have been short from double digits. Remember when everyone scoffed at Cramer's recommendation to sell at $8? Funny how things turn out isn't it..
Still long?
"False in part, false in all."
That's a dangerous and very oblivious approach to take. One crack in the wall could bring down the entire castle.
Just because someone writes anonymously doesn't mean everything they say is inaccurate. They probably didn't want to be targeted by angry longs. Do you remember a certain poster who was recently wishing death and ill fate to members of NWBO after losing his money? Why do you post anonymously?
As for fomenting, a simple disclosure is all that's required (and they did). Ever read seeking alpha?
Like I said, Malik lost his job over what the report revealed.
Your attempts to connect NW, Ondra, and others to the DNDN debacle to discredit and defame characters is no better than others using LP's time at Enron to paint her in an unfavorable light. Both are nothing more than a smear campaign to further one's arguments.
You and Linda keep calling the report false and baloney. However, the jury is still out. So far, a highly respected (previously) securities analyst has lost his job after certain activities involving the CEO were exposed. Also, the most respected investor in the UK decided to hire his own investigators to dig deeper in response to the report.
Why don't we just hold tight and see what else the investigators find and what the authorities determine before we jump to conclusions about the validity, shall we??
I have a feeling the recent capital raise has much more to do with hiring legal defense than funding clinical trials ;)
Yes, such questions could have been easily answered in a quarterly conference call to set the record straight.
Longs defend LP by saying that her hands are tied and silence is required with the recent regulatory dialogue. The truth is that LP has lacked transparency and communication for many years, long before the events of last fall. It isn't how you successfully manage a public company.
Beartrap12, I left that part out because fast track wouldn't make sense at this stage in the game. So it is pointless to even consider it an option as to what is going on. Their SEC filings have had the fast track language for years and they evidently never applied for it or haven't received it.
How do you know they actually submitted it? I can give you several examples of things Linda said they were going to do and still haven't done over a year later. Read my recent posts. Although you sound convincing, the truth is that you don't know whether or not anything has been submitted. Neither does foxy. Unless you work for NWBO or the regulatory agency receiving the information. Are you privy to material information the rest of us are unaware of.
Over a year ago Linda said we would hear about a CI partner in the coming months for a combo trial with DCVAX. How many of us took the bait? It never came to fruition and she never offered any explanation. Maybe one of the investigators can ask her about all of the empty promises over the past few years..
The market has valued DCVAX at less than half what DNDN sold provenge for after they declared bankruptcy.
