she is going to fall.
Rig at site?
Apparently from what I have gathered this company is sitting on alot of oil. I think if management were to change, this could have tremendous potential, IMO.
The oil prospects are good but The management is questionable. I am willing to take a risk
Ive been a silent watcher and even have a small position, not sure if this will go anywhere but who knows
Safe to say no news today
So pretty much a crappy man running this company into the ground but the area has potential.... What a shame
Tell wildcat and screaming eagle you miss them and maybe they will come back LOL
with no news probably not. More traders being impatient prbably
Everyone can freak out about fluctuations in the price if they want to. Drilling and Production are all that matter. As Wildcat and Screaming Eagle have posted this is a long term play. I admit I have been getting a little impatient too. Things are in motion, and it will take some time. The only thing we have to fear is the price of oil must hold at least 70 dollars a barrel.
Hopefully the spudding begins soon
This thing is going to take off as soon as we get an announcement that DRILLING HAS BEGUN. The REAL news will be if the well is successful and PRODUCING
This thing will keep dropping
Until the drill bit is doing the work, we may see more similar low volume days, and if time takes to long, this could start to drop again
Im guessing no one wants to part with their shares until drilling starts, than maybe volume will pick up. I agree with you though. I also hope things start to move quicker because Europe may be putting an embargo on Iran, which will drive oil back up at least to 110 dollars a barrel. This could also drive PPS, but only if there is production
Solimar really never mentions GRPR. It doesn't matter as long as GRPR still has their 20% interest in the Kreyenhagen. Solimar does the work and GRPR profits
Trading stock doesn't cause dilution. Dilution happens when more shares are issued out. They have 168 million shares outstanding and if revenue doesn't start coming in in will go much higher. As long as the Outstanding shares does not hit too high over 200 million we are good.
You've got it completely wrong GRPRLEGEND. I am not trying to get people to sell there shares. The Jonah Field is a long way off. They may not touch it for a while. Did you look at the investment summaries for the Jonah field? Over 4 Million dollars per well? Yes, a Private investor has agreed to help get started, and If I remember correctly it was 5 million, but Natural gas is too cheap at the moment Until GRPR is producing, this thing is NOT going to explode. They need revenue NOW!!!Right now is the perfect time to buy and hold, as I am a long and do not see this as a trade. I am very positive about GRPR, but without production, we will keep seeing the dilution of shares, which will be bad for everyone holding. You misinterpreted me. There is alot of potential but There were people saying that this stock would see dollar land this year and everyone talks of the JONAH FIELD, WHICH THEY CANNOT TOUCH. This is not me being negative about GRPR, That's just the truth.
Also on the news, negotiations with Iran didn't go that well. They are going to talk with 6 countries 1 more time June 18 or 19. Iran most likely will give the middle finger and not give up its nuclear ambitions. Then July 1st, Europe will put an Embargo on Iranian oil and oil will be back to 110 maybe Higher. I am just hoping that at least drilling has started and one well is in production. Also, Iran may be attacked by Israel before the Presidential elections. I say this because Obama will not support Israel if an attack is after the Presidential elections and he gets elected again. If there is an attack before the elections, It would look bad if Obama didn't support Israel. What goes on overseas will affect GRPRs pps IF THEY ARE PRODUCING OIL. Some analysts are predicting 160 barrel oil and that is why I hope drilling begins real soon. If I am to suffer at the pump, I Hope I get rewarded later
The Jonah field is a long way off my friend, at least 2 years. When GRPR had just really come out as a company, They acquired a sweet location for natural gas, and what happens, Natural gas hit record lows. That is pretty bad luck. Having such a potential play and not being able to develop it. The plays in Texas and California will HOPEFULLY generate revenue and buy them time. I read over the investment summaries and I believe they have the financing from a private investor to at least get started in the Jonah field. That is my understanding but it won't happen until there is a rally in the Natural gas prices
knew to stay out of this one. Pumped And Dumped
All depends on production. Also they have only 10 percent interest in each well. I think 15 to 20 cents if a few wells are successful. If they are successful in all 20 wells, 50 cents or higher. I don't want to throw the dollar amount in quite yet because that will depend on how many barrels are being produced altogether. Another fact though is if Europe places the EMBARGO on Iran or if later Israel attacks Iran. This may cause a huge price spike, which would be great for the traders, but Price spikes don't last too long.
Natural gas isn't going to replace crude oil yet because lets face it, There are alot of stupid people in this country. We are the Saudi Arabia of Natural Gas but we don't have the infrastructure to convert all our vehicles and everything else to Natural Gas. I agree that we should, but My personal opinion is that until Americans are paying at least 12 dollars or more at the pump, there will not be enough pressure to do so. Plus it would take ten years or more to completely switch over. You also mentioned how coal was being replaced to generate electricity, which is happening and although it is a good push, especially for GRPR ( If they get the JONAH FIELD Going when Natural Gas is Profitable), We have about 700 years worth of coal in this country. WHY ARE WE NOT ENERGY INDEPENDENT?
Excellent points. Yes The Jonah field has potential, as well as California. I too am a little frustrated with the time it is taking for just the first well to be developed. This is just my opinion, but I think the Texas play is only to buy time and generate revenue so there is no more dilution in the shares, and until we see Natural Gas Rebound so it will become profitable to drill in the Jonah Field, which is their key asset. Natural gas had been in decline right when they acquired the Jonah field. If these wells in Texas prove to be as cheap and productive as SE and WCD say they are, the pps should look alot better. Another worry I have though is that I have seen oil drop quite a bit these few weeks and oil must at least remain profitable for the American Driller to drill for oil.
you make very good points. I still think it was a legal battle between the other JV companies. Remember contract law can be a pain when there are many members involved. Also let me point out that drilling was to take place in march. It is almost JUNE and no drilling. I think other JVs tried to get in because of the time frame it took. Just my opinion though.
yeah, I am holding out a bit but progress does need to happen soon. I understand there will be delays but this first delay was slightly more than 2 months because they messed up with the first permit and the investor who bailed. I still think this company has potential and so I will stick it out for awhile. Hopefully 2012 is the start of Great things
The main problem is that a third party investor bailed, causing the delay. Its just a guess, but I am pretty sure this could have been a sort of legal battle between the other JV companies, Not to mention creating brand new contracts. If there is a delay for every well, Then Grid better add an extra 10 percent for every well thats delayed LOL. Contract Law can be a pain
I appreciate that eaglesrule
Things will be taken more seriously with this company if they can get the first well drilled and successfully producing. The drilling in Northwest Premont involves 20 wells. If all the wells are successful, it should be about 100 to 500 barrels of oil per day. This WILL easily take well over a year,as they need to get permits for each well. We also don't need a similar delay for EVERY OTHER REMAINING WELL. People talking about that dollar a share thing. Don't expect it this year. As long as no more major delays happen, I see this thing at maybe 20 cents later. Probably the majority will sell at 8 to 10 cents. There is also the California potential but that won't happen till Q4. Alot of potential for this little company, but the drill bit needs to get to work soon. Sitting on a bunch of oil doesn't help unless production is taking place
Well I have said 2012 is the make it or break it for this company. They also have a shot in California. Then If Natural Gas keeps rising they can finally plan for the drilling in their key area the JONAH FIELD, but they can touch it till it is profitable. I am hopeful but I do realize that this year will determine whether or not this company will go anywhere and revenue needs to be coming in SOON
Finally, they got the 10 percent. NICE! Now its time to get the revenue coming in. Now what needs to happen is steady cash flow coming in while the price of Natural Gas becomes once again profitable. THAT MEANS JONAH FIELD BABY
I think the 10q will hurt them because they are currently not generating revenue. I still have faith and will hold out that the Texas and California plays will pay off. I am giving GRPR a chance but as I have said, I believe 2012 is kind of a Make It or Break It for this company. The drill bit needs to get moving. There will be delays but hopefully not too many more
If oil stays at least 80, we're good. Part of the drop in oil is the dollar is getting stronger, at least against the euro. All commodities have been dropping, especially gold prices. Oil should rebound because the Dollar is still weak due to the high deficits, the high national debt and World demand is going to be increasing. This may take some time, but hoepfully the payoff is beautiful in the end
If you look at one of wildcat drillers older posts, sometimes these smaller companies will create another company name on another exchange to raise capital ESPECIALLY when they are victims of PUMP AND DUMP schemes, which is exactly what happened to Grid Petroleum. That is why GRPR created Jumeirah Resources. If they hadn't, they may not have had any capital for any of their ongoing projects. The thing that frustrates me is the delsys after they post a date, but I guess that is going to happen
Dont forget that oil must stay high enough for these companies to make a profit. Oil has dropped in price over the past few weeks due to the potential slowdown of the global economy. While I hate paying a high price at the pump I still hope things don't drop too much
Thanks for the reminder, I am definitely a long here. I am naturally an inpatient person ( and also new to investing ) I have to keep reminding myself that GRPR has definitely got the fundamentals. I appreciate the reminder of my old post. GO GRPR long and strong
12 days late and Ive tried emailing the company. No response
What confirmation did you get from IR, if you don't mind me asking?
I just wish they would say that things have started rolling. No more PRs stating dates and then things not happening. The delays are frustrating. Hopefully we get POSITIVE news soon like Drilling has ACTUALLY STARTED
$160 for oil will not help GRPR at all in regards to PPS unless they start drilling and are producing oil. Lets hope we hear good news soon. In 2008 , my grandpa made a killing on a small oil and gas stock when oil jumped to $140 and the stock went from about 60 cents to over 3 dollars in one day. The key is we need to see some revenue coming in and some nice production. If oil does hit that high, GRPR NEEDS to be producing then. Good luck to all my fellow longs. GO GRPR!
