Well, there you are...the cat is now out of the bag. I'm hoping $5 a share at least...I mean, APPLE has ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS in cash...what's $3 Billion...its peanuts....
I see that a BIG after hours jump happened with TESLA...if it holds it will open over $150 a share.
In February 2012, I had 6000 shares of TESLA...but I got the "itch" to move on, even though I loved the car and the company. I cannot think of any good reason why I sold the shares, except I had a "traders"
addiction. 6000 shares at $150 each...that hurts.... Now I'm in LQMT...this is a far different company than it was just a few weeks ago. Prospects look great. I no longer have my "trader" mentality. Its gone. My example is what such an addiction can do. The "need" to trade. Like TESLA, the LQMT metal is exciting...its like "I can't believe this technology exists and I can invest in it."....the same way I felt about TESLA...except I dumped 6000 shares for no reason. GOOD LUCK LONGS...may LQMT be another chance...
Remember the basic LQMT metal patent ran out last year....from what I understand. So if they are making the knives out of the basic metal, LQMT hasn't a leg to stand on...as far as using the basic alloy.
I thought it was "verified" that the "sheet patent" was within the Crucible....or the caller said it was...
and Steipp seemed to acknowledge the same...but as others note..I think APPLE and LQMT want to keep that Patent "low profile"....It was mentioned on a couple of site that were posted here...but it didn't have much "leg"....even though most here realize just how significant that patent is. And Steipp seemed to try to steer us all away from thinking about that patent by saying they weren't doing much in that area...REALLY????!!!! Again....it doesn't make sense, unless its for APPLES benefit to deep six the knowledge of that patent for awhile...
If those years since 2003 also include when the KANGS were in charge..you have to consider this a totally different company. And IMO, the patent for "sheets" also made it again..a totally different company. It went from the possibility of niche parts with very limited dimensions to "sheets" and you have to admit...that type breakthrough was not expected. And here we find it's been in for patent over a year. That's how little we know, not only of the now, but the future. They have over 50 more patents in for approval...and no one has a clue on what they are. The CC where Steipp acted like he barely was aware of the "sheet patent" is totally deceptive. My only conclusion is its that very technology that will allow APPLE to make the cases. Didn't the upgraded Web Site also mention cases for the first time??
Those are our little hints. I"m sure APPLE doesn't want anyone to know how close they are to a LQMT casing....until their products are on the shelf. Just like all APPLES products..they do NOT give hints..EVER...so, those working with them won't be allowed to give "hints" either. The philosophy should be, not to let the success or failure of LQMT control ones life or enjoying ones life. It should be "icing on the cake". I know we aren't all in that position...but I am. I'm not rich, I'm comfortable..and very fortunate....and I have reached a point in my life where if LQMT pays off and I have a fortune in the bank from it...I don't have a clue on what I'd do with it....and that's a good place to be.
I didn't expect much from the CC and I got what I expected. And the same may be true for the next CC and the next. Those that make the biggest gains in stocks..HOLD THEM and DON"T SELL THEM until they have good reason to. We (longs) have many good reasons to HOLD this stock. Tell yourself nothing will happen for another YEAR...and then enjoy life and pull yourself away from the board as much as you can to ENJOY that life...
well, those waiting for a chance to jump in at a lower price...you just had your chance...
The only reason you were "attacked' was your incessant posting...one or two, to proclaim your ideas would have been enough...
Small contracts won't get the ball rolling. That's why APPLE use is so important. Revenues won't be the issue. Having one of the biggest tech companies in the world...using Liquid Metal...that will start the talk and the fire..THAT will get the world talking..that will get other potential users to move...THat will be the value of APPLE...Without apple using it...its going to be a difficult road...IMO.
All LQMT investors know how good the metal is, but convincing the world to accept it isn't going to be that easy. I can see why they are just concentrating on US firms... But for a business to decide on Liquid Metal..a metal that may have great properties, but many will wonder how it will stand up longer term...especially if the metal is put in areas that require safety approvals. LOTS and LOTS of testing...
With my rose colored glasses on...I expect this to explode very soon....with the glasses off....
I can see how difficult it will be to get people to switch from a proven metal, to one with NO examples of being used anywhere else. That is why APPLE is so important...
Golf Clubs..."close" to being ready it seems. And LQMT has 70% ownership. If I were a golfer, I wouldn't care if my clubs were "PGA" approved...I would want clubs that give me the best game.
And clubs made out of Liquid Metal would give me bragging rights. And if those clubs give "duffers" an advantage with their golfing buddies...what will happen?? The buddies will get the clubs too. IMO.
Remember...Steipp cannot say anything about what APPLE is doing....LQMT may not be doing anything with the sheet patent...But APPLE may be. And if so, that will raise LQMTs PPS...
Steipps remark about the Knives....did it sound like they would investigate patent infringement??? Or maybe just "use of name".
With the 70% interest in the Golf Clubs..I imagine LQMT is pushing that angle very strong.....
Each $Million they make gives them a month of revenues before any more dilution.
The more patents LQMT has, the more valuable it is..for a buy out....
Looks like nothing much going on with the "sheet patent"....but that may be a ruse to keep
APPLES competition guessing...I find it hard to believe they won't be using that patent NOW...not sometime in the future, like Steipp said...
LQMT has 120 patents...over 50 still in for approval.
I found nothing to get excited about..except maybe the Golf Clubs....LQMT owns 70%. More waiting...
okay with me...and I imagine there are a LOT of golfers that would buy "non" PGA sanctioned clubs...there are many club sets already on the market that aren't PGA approved..and by top makers.
you don't play golf to beat Tiger Woods, you play golf for the enjoyment and to beat the pants off your buddies.
If you're expecting a blockbuster CC...please DON"T.....this will all take time..if you're a quick trader looking for a pop to jump out...sorry...for us longs...HOLD...our day is coming.
I believe all of a sudden LQMT contracts will explode. I don't think it will come slowly. Once the ball starts rolling, it will become an avalanche very quickly. I didn't check but it seems the web site now talks of "cases"...and many agreed it was new to the "updated site". We may be very surprised at the CC today. Once a decent contract is gained...you can bet the "WAll Street Talkers"...all Media avenues will jump on this company and start analyzing and talking about the future of this metal. Investors will see its less than $1..and there will be a run on the stock like you have never seen before for any stock.
All of a sudden it will be clear to the world, where this company and the metal are headed.
Hows that for a morning "hype to reality" post.
Please don't count on anything happening tomorrow....its enough we know things are happening...
things are moving.....Every CC people have expected a big announcement...Longs should be used to such disappointments...Just hold the stock...very simple....perhaps like I did, look forward to having the shares a year for Long Term Capital Gains Tax...15%....as compared to short term Capital Gains...35%. That extra 20% can be a HUGE extra gain for you. Do the math.
LOL...yes...just nibbling on bread stick up till now. I have no idea what the CC will be like. Its not going to bother me if nothing significant is mentioned. I know they are progressing. That Patent for sheet production should have been enough for everyone this quarter. I think those that will be very disappointed are those waiting to jump out at any uptick. I still have the "long" view. I have many shares that won't be "long term" until February...I hope we don't have a buy out for $10 a share until then.
Just keep in mind everyone..with the enormous number of shares, no matter how good the future looks, we will have "penny traders" coming in, jumping in and jumping out. Try to keep the big picture in mind. We've barely had the appetizer...we have dinner and dessert to go.
You're forgetting the Patent that was approved three weeks ago. It totally changed the potential and vision of where this company could go. It shocked everyone here.
Okay....if the "buy out rumor" spreadss, whether true or not....hold on..it will be an amazing ride.
Perhaps better than the APPLE rumors...and that will make people take notice, whether the rumors are quickly squashed or not. Perhaps that is the intent of the rumor anyway..to start a run on the stock.
If that happens..more will discover what LQMT is about. And then the CC..wow...
Hey, if a Key West Volleyball Bunny can set this stock on fire..more power to her..."fan those flames".
That type of rumor could set this stock on fire...APPLE has $100 BILLION...I'm sure they can spare
$5 Billion...for LQMT...oh wouldn't that be sweet...
Just a quick post for the weekend. As I have said before....about LQMT and Capital Gains....
many like to "trade" stocks...for all sorts of reasons...I used to....but lets say LQMT goes far beyond our current expectations...well, with the last PATENT disclosure...many are now posting and its true...
the uses have just exploded exponentially. Is the value of LQMT in the future in the "few Billions"??
Not such a fantasy now is it....more close to a reality. Back when it was 6 cents a share...buying
300,000 shares was very doable....if dream of all dreams comes true...and LQMT makes it to $10 a share....the difference between selling that many shares of Long Term Capital Gains and Short Term..
is $600,000 extra in taxes....I've already held 2/3 of my shares over a year...do the math, step back and think about where LQMT could be headed...
Good Luck Longs...
Very nice close. For those talking about getting ready to sell on or after a CC uptick..or before....try and step back to see the big picture...and now with the "sheet patent" approved...I'm hoping that LQMT/Steipp will be a little forward looking on that. But at this stage, you just never know. From the last blog..it sure looks like a contract is near...CC would be the perfect time to announce that.
A 50% Pop, or more could be possible...and if that happens.. before you dump shares for a pull back that may not come... think about where this all may be headed.. GOODLUCK LONGS....perhaps a very big week next week....but we're over 300% from two weeks ago....we've come a long way from 6 cents. (Is $10.00 on the horizon??? OH I HOPE SO).
Tight Security to the extreme, could also mean prototype/production for military.
Two weeks ago, LQMT was at 6 cents a share...in another two weeks, it very well could be at
36 cents a share....that's a 600% increase, for those that want to quick trade a few pennies.
GOOD LUCK LONGS...
Remember...you hold this stock 1 year and you pay only 15% Capital Gains.....otherwise, you pay 35%.
Something to keep in mind.
A good day indeed. I'm sure with upticks, we'll have the typical gurus coming in telling us when to sell, or when they sold, on and on. The journey on this stock and technology has just begun. With the new patent (and no telling what other patents are in that we can't even imagine), it just takes one application that could start a manufacturing run of LQMT where huge sheets of it are being made 24/7. Just like an ordinary steel mill. Where can this stock go?? Beyond our imagination. The applications?? also beyond our imagination. Two weeks ago after the release of the "sheet making" Patent...this became a totally different company. The "goose" may just be starting to lay the golden eggs....DON'T SELL THE GOOSE TOO EARLY...and leave a lifes fortune on the table. Good Luck Longs.
Thank you from here Cookie,
for your effort. We know APPLE has been pouring millions into R&D, and a good chance much of it for LQMT housings. And I'm sure they realize the impact because every time a new phone is announced...the speculation rumors always focus on Liquid Metal. Not sure how many machines that "warehouse/showroom" can hold, but we're not sure how many other places they may have...for production. "Flywheel"?? Hmmm..now that was interesting. Again, from what we have discovered recently, the applications go beyond imagination. Just two weeks ago, we guessed at "tiny forms" and were excited about that....now we can talk about huge sheets of the stuff up to 1 inch thick...from a patent just approved, and probably was perfected up to two years before. NO ONE HERE even imagined such a breakthrough was this close...quite the opposite. With the heating/cooling issues that were discussed...it was the consensus that a solution could be some years to overcome.
And now its here...its been solved.
I have to disconnect my computer this morning...the room is going to be tiled tomorrow...so those
frustrated with my "over enthusiastic" posts will get a break for a few days. Good Luck Longs...looks like the wait is going to pay off relatively soon.
Over and Out (for awhile).
Do you have a full service broker?? That's the only way I could see you paying such a high commission....do you need a full service broker???
NOKIAS new Lumia camera phone has 41 Pixel strength. Saw the commercial on TV last night..
Good grief. The technology that all big players are squeezing in the phones is amazing.
APPLE knows their trump card is Liquid Metal casing....and they know they better get it out fast or that will be trumped too.
I bought more on the 18 July as it was starting to spike up....but that's it..no more. I brought remaining funds back to my bank. I'm at a "comfortable" level in cash...and happy with the number of shares...so I'm just going to hold...way into next year.....unless it goes up enough so I'll figure.."that's enough for me".
The CC is next month, right??? Perhaps MM's want to drive the price down before any good news before the CC...wasn't it curious so many shares "dumped" right at the open??? Perhaps trying to get some panic selling going?? Just a thought.
This morning..having seen that TESLA is now at $130 a share, I got the courage to check when I had the stock and how many shares. February, 2012, about 6000 shares, about $35 a share. What would I have now if I had just held it?? Oh, about $800,000. But I liked to trade. Those days are over. So, now I am able to hold a stock for months...over a year now holding LQMT. TESLA has a genius Billionaire entrepreneur behind it...with deep pockets. The FISKER Electric Car fell by the way side. LQMT has a Hundred Billion Dollar company pouring money into developments and patents that LQMT will be able to use outside of the electronics area. LQMT has over 100 Patents, 50 still in for approval. We just saw a HUGE patent approved last week..a patent NO ONE KNEW ABOUT ...a total shock. Yes, this is a penny stock...barely keeping its head above water at this time...but look at the Giant behind the curtain..APPLE COMPUTER...allowing LQMT to use any patents APPLE develops...and APPLE using LQMT"s patents....talk about a match made in heaven. So, I missed another opportunity with TESLA, but if I hadn't sold TESLA, I never would have gotten into LQMT...and this perhaps has an even bigger payoff. IF I can hold it...and I WILL...I'm not letting a potential WHALE of a stock, get away again.
GOOD LUCK LONGS.
There was discussion here about Bob Mansfield who had been on the APPLE Executive Team...and all of a sudden his name was removed. In todays paper...
"Bob will no longer be on APPLES executive team, but he will continue to work on special projects.",
Katie Cotton, an Apple Spokesman, told Bloomberg.
I'm not sure if that last bit of news was available, when the subject came up. But now we know.
And perhaps that special project is LQMT/APPLE.....I think we have to assume "if" LQMT is going to be used, and "if" APPLE has poured MILLIONS to develop the technology, it is very high priority at APPLE and I"m sure they want "executive level" individuals overseeing whatever they are doing in that area.
Connect the dots as you may.
