I think these are valid points/questions. These are legitimate risks to shareholders, caveat emptor and all.
Dr.D is the creator and mastermind behind this innovation. Does he owe the shareholders anything beyond his fiduciary responsibilities as president/chairman of nnvc? I understand that previously this structure was presented as a means to protect the technology in the event of a hostile takeover, however with the amount of share that would be under his control in in the event of a merger I am not clear that is a legitimate risk. It definitely protects what's his...I think these are questions worth asking, probably ought to have been asked at the AGM.
He is the man whose worked the magic and whatever Theracour owns Theracour owns.
Two sides to every coin.
Still long and strong
Definitely a wakeup call
Any thoughts on the investigation by the attorneys?
The firm appears to engage in class action law suits against companies based upon google search results. However they may just be ambulance chasing at this point. Statement says investigating whether certain officers or directors violated securities laws. However also directly mentions the article price drop, predicted price drop SA and PT.
Like I said wait and see mode. Definitely not interested impeding progress of this company in legitimate research that I think will benefit many people. These guys are just in it to make a buck. Dragging out a legal case could definitely be a drag on progress and be costly on many fronts. They have brought forth class action suits on bigger companies.
There is blood in the water and sharks are circling.
Let's go Docs...welcome to the show
Maybe Pump Turdinator lawyered up.
I've been in wait and see mode all along. No reason to jump in now.
White collar thievery requires slick lawyers and accountants all around. If there is merit to any investigation I wait until we see something from a source without llc, llp and partners or inc behind it before acting any differently. I realized no losses today.
Welcome to the show...if anyone thought the shenanigans or chicanery was long gone after the jump up from the OTC I guess we've been disabused of that sentiment.
Getting ugly...thought this a.m. was bad.
This is a new one for me. But definitely don't trust slick NYC lawyers anymore than a snake in the grass.
Looks like there is now an investigation by a law firm. Not clear which side this firm is on....
I can't even get to it. The link won't work on my PC or phone.
Bought some more. This morning was painful. Some people made some money.
A law suit will be a waste of time, resources and effort, imo. Cease and desist sure.
Management needs to get moving on the goods. Proof will be in the pudding.
I do not.
Please explain what one is and the implication of your question.
I hope that's what happens. However, who knows if it does break lose or if FDA let's the studies advance based on early tox results.
Hey at least there's some news.. Not exactly what I was hoping for but not bad. Don't expect too much in the way of an SP boost from it even though it looks promising. Need to buy some more anyways.
Front page of WSJ...rivals band together in search of new drugs. Opening paragraphs focus on collaboration on Alzheimer's, lupus diabetes to bring together the industry's best and brightest.
C'mon Docs time to do tox. Move us forward and onto the headlines of the front page. Excited every morning hoping for that announcement.
Obvious is obvious.
Do you really not think they are progressing towards humans? I wish it'd go quicker too but that's entirely outside of my control.
Weedie,
Root us home!

BK,
I'm with MattFlash on that sentiment... Even though I think that some of my posts could fit into the nonsense category.
Zinc has jumped in with some scientific knowledge to help bridge that gap.
I last recommended this stock in 2010 and regretted it a bit. But I took my own recommendation and bought in the interim.
Hope 2014 continues the path 2013 went along in regards to NNVC.
Incubus,
Peruse the history of that plant, the multiple uses asides from intoxication, especially the yellow journalism employed by Hearst due to the threat to his timber holdings before we ever even get to the modern age and the utter waste of tax dollars and productivity that the failed 'war on drugs' has become. Your outdated sense of authority for an existing law is based upon nonsense when used as a basis in the context in this area. Our own government has had far too much influence in the world of illicit substances for nefarious reasons than any cartel in existence.
Intoxication and toxicity are two different things. Logic and rationale and freedom and self-accountability are on the other side of the argument you make. Prohibition worked so well in the past it really will work this time, right???
Well I have some $ in my account to pick up a few shares.
I think that the gap b/t now and the next announcement is an opportunity.
I do think SP could be impacted by a market correction but I think that'd be an opportunity in less the whole casino burns. Momentum for rising prices is much more on our side than a year ago. Overall I am more confident than ever that this company can really change the impact of viruses on humanity. Still a ways to go but I like the looks of things.
'14 looks to be a barn burner with the facility coming online, the pending results out of PHE, 'full' tox testing. I think we'll see more mile markers in our rearview than ahead on the road to human testing by this time next year.
If the stock price puts in another performance like this year's and we continue to see progress I might even start mentioning it to people again. I haven't done that in almost 4 years.
This stock has shown me the highs and lows of emotions in investing and this post is evidence of it....but I really like the looks of things around here going into 2014
2014 going to be anything like 2013 around here?
I missed the interview too. But I doubt it would have changed my opinion either way. By all accounts things seem to be on track and moving nicely along.
Looking to add some on the next little dip...
Let's go Docs!!!(weedie my cheers just don't have the same ring to 'em)
I missed that until biochica pointed that out yesterday. Hoping he is not reenacting the October play of 2011. I'd call that shrewd as well.
Don't think we'll be able to assess good or bad until a product is or is not brought to market.
I'd say it was shrewd.
Rearden,
Bummer nation, not the way anyone wants to end a trip. Sending positive vibes to you and yours.
Been a lifelong dream to go to hawaii. My grandparents had a book on Kauai on their coffee table when I was a kid.I read it cover to cover many timesZa. Been all over the world and surfed some cool places but never to the birthplace. My vote is for the Garden isle but I'll just be happy to see it whichever isle we land on.
Say it again Weedie!!!
Been waiting for this one
That was the 'last' date they gave...however I think the press release from Aug. 19th was a hedge in case they do not deliver Monday...
'The Company has also started sub-kg scale production of our injectable FluCide™ anti-influenza drug candidate at its current facility. Safety and toxicology studies of our injectable and oral FluCide drugs are estimated to require very large quantities of the drugs, because of strong safety data evidenced from our in vivo (animal) efficacy studies to date. The Company will be able to initiate GLP Safety/Toxicology studies (“Tox Package”) studies of our injectable FluCide drug when the requisite large amount of drug substance is produced.'
I think Management could reasonably estimate when this 'requisite large amount' will be ready but their history with estimates isn't exactly stellar.
I think that statement was issued to manage investor/market expectations...I am keeping fingers crossed though and hoping for some 'great' news Monday...Great news from my position could be:
1)Initiation of Tox
2)Positive results from PHE
I hoping for the best but prepared to be blanked on Monday a.m....if you are peprtually long and you really think that things are shaping up a miss on Monday may be another buying opportunity.
Echo20,
I echo you on that sentiment.

"Recently deposited funds still on hold"...that won't be an issue when they do uplist. Still not marginable, when that changes(see uplisting) I think volatility does to and the ride could get even wilder.
Been a roller coaster this year, No Retreat. Mostly up with a downhill rush for good measure.
Boniuk 'indirectly' controls the nnvcd shares through "Boniuk Investmests"
Publically disclosing his interests in Nanoviricides.
TD Ameritrade updated for me during the day today too...but they robbed me of a share. How are you TD users following up?
I guess I'll call 'em again.
Still a deal at the moment, if things start heading back in the direction (SP-wise) they were.
Duke keeps being mentioned here...is that a public event? Cannot see any listing on their websites yet. I'm in the area and would not mind going. Anyone know the date?
TDA would allow a buy on their webpage but I have no dry powder at the moment. Account still has not updated to reflect my new holdings since split as not settled as others have stated. Yesterday on the phone the TDA associate said it could be a few days to a few weeks...
Fair enough Leifsmith. Thanks for the letter.
I do not think you were intentionally deceptive. However, I would not say it was a comparison of similar entities.
That's the beauty part.
I'm surprised TheBunny hasn't shown up to make a joke about a sled...
How about Keltoi? He's long flown the coop.
What about the Piecemaker?
Did they all just walk away from broken dreams?
I don't really see different prospects for the company long-term here, but this move definitely doesn't give me a great feeling for Managements negotiation abilities about any future deals if/when Management, steps to the table across from one of the major pharmas...
TD Ameritrade is still showing my closing balance from yesterday...kinda sad really.
This is the best 'they', the 'good docs', management could have done regarding: timing, communication, financing arrangement?
August into September was looking pretty good. We'll see where this puppy lands at the end of the month and end of the year.
When will they announce clearly what their updated timeline on initiation of TOX is, instead of vaguely stating a large quantity of material is necessary...pretty sure that the actual production capacity is something they could reasonably estimate.
I guess this will be a subsequent even in their outstanding 10k.
Dane,
If the price turns lower to the range it was this spring will you buy more? Below $1 it's a steal, right? Below $0.80? I'd rather not see those prices again but if we do I'd probably try to pick some up depending on what else is going on.
Puffer,
Hope you're right...
D S
So you think this is a low-risk/high-reward stock valued at 1...something? I agree on potential high-reward but any entrepreneurial venture is fraught with risk. There are many factors out of Management's control (e.g. delivery delays).
On an entirely different topic,I think this morning's PR was done so that Management would avoid any negative surprises in the eyes of the market and shareholders down the road if there were delays on their prior projections. I think Management is trying their best to communicate what they can transparently.
However, regarding toxicology, I think they know their production capacity and in turn how long it will take to produce the necessary quanitites, neither of which were conveyed in the the message. I think the choice not to communicate 'when' was made intentionally. From here, hoping for sooner than later. A couple of 'nice' surprises in between could add to a boost in SP when toxicology commencent, progress and results are eventually released.
I am not negative on this company or management. I am invested...not flipping a few shares for lunch money as people have been accused of doing. However I find no fault with anyone who can build a position trading this stock. Any shares purchased this spring and sold into last weeks trading range yielded a healthy return.
Tox initiation announcement tomorrow?
If not and there is no other significant pr, i think we go below a buck again tomorrow maybe below .90 cents.
I do not think Investor conference presentation announcements are significant at this time. I don't think all the selling last week can be attributed to just pumpers. There were posts this spring by highly regarded longs whopurchased some shares with intention of selking somewhere over a buck...1.30s were probably a good opportunity to do so. Can't find those posts now...
I hope for tox commencement announcement tommorow but not holding my breath. I doubt we'll see that until early October at least and any broad market gurgling will have an impact here...if safer bets strt taking a dive why would someone hold onto a highly risky position in a penny stock?
Will we see the pr for initiation of tox studies tomorrow?
NNVC for the win!!!!
