IR told me last week in an email that they have no current plans to spin off i-mobilize.
I DO NOT believe the company would entertain selling out right now, especially before trying the efficacy of Auto-Post and initiating Appflix. Those are 2 potentially titanic tests ahead.
Diode, I agree that management has higher aspirations than 2 cents/share. Check the April blogs when they were talking about meeting with Sony. It suggested that they have more to offer than a company that was bought by Facebook for $1 billion. Do the mate and its between $1 and $2/share. So I would surmise that the company puts a pretty high relative value on their business.
I recommended the book titled OUTLIERS by Malcolm Gladwell some time ago to IR. They said they had already read it. It tells how being at the beginning in a new technological revolution gives inventors and businesses the edge to those who stay on the fence until they are sure it is "safe".
Storm, thank you for your guidance! Impressive increases in ad impressions, harbinger of a wave of good things to come. Those sorts of forthright statistics will attract clients who have been on the sidelines about the app revolution.
ok, maybe spam, the issuance of a patent will make it patently clear, time will tell. I have worked with a patent lawyer directly, the one I worked with is very ethical, he WOULD NOT bother with filing anything that lacks merit.
A rose by any other name...It is the CONCEPT that is important and its CONTENT that is of relevance in terms of it patentability; if they end up calling it something else, at least we already understand the basic concept, ie, inexpensively reaching millions of potential buyers for their apps.
Thank you for your insights. I look at the "now" through the lens of the future rather than the trail of hot air left behind by the past.
Obviously, I stepped into more than I bargained for when I bought this stock. Thanks to the insights and knowledge shared on this board in the past week, I am accutely aware of things that I had no clue about before. I now understand why, two years ago or so, my stock broker's office manager came down on me so hard when I kept buying this stock. I actually wrangled with her over it and we ended up agreeing to disagree. Anyhow, it is worth noting that my interests in this investment have been from the very beginning 3 years ago, an interest to get invested in the app business and I was not able to find very many options, btw. I bought MRNJ because I believe in the vast potential of the emerging app industry and figured that they could find a part of it, at the very least. I knew nothing about shells and the dynamics of them as spelled out recently. I will probably never invest in a pink again, knowing what I sort of know now, but I will STAY invested in MRNJ, nonetheless. I wanted to bail out a number of times over the years but stayed mainly due to the resoundingly enthusisastic "marshalling of the troups" board leader, Storm. I have no regrets, btw. It has been a very interesting and educational experience. Now, I am glad that I didn't bail out, now that I know the extent to which things have been artificially manipulated. Also, I will give IR a LOT of credit. I have been emailing them since the spring of 2010 and they always answer me and often provide very clear answers to my questions. Ir's being so attentive to me, a reasonably large shareholder but not a major one by any measure, has impressed me as to the positive CHARACTER of the management. I think they have matured and work harder than ever now to make a success of this enterprise. I am with them and look forward to the eventual success that I believe is coming with Autopost and possible other innovations not yet revealed.
APPFLIX Trademark...wonder what that is worth???
I doubt that yesterday's blatantly obvious tactics shook too many out of the tree, just my opinion, volume was not very impressive. I think it is sad that small innovators are victimized by unethical elements. It is not good for the creation of real industry and enterprise. Obviously, the small team at MRNJ are creative, they keep coming up with new ideas as evidenced by Appflix trademark and recent new clients, etc. They say that they are still working on games, no one has mentioned that possibility in a while, although it shows up on every blog at the fine print near the end. A single popular game introduction and it would be a game changer, too. There are many possibilities for defeating the odds. I have seen companies with no funding become successful in the end, but it takes a lot of patience and persistence. It can be done and I believe in management at MRNJ. I am also one of those who likes to see the underdog come out a winner in the end. I believe it when management answers my IR inquiries(last Friday for example) and tell me that they are striving for long term shareholder value. It is America. I am free to believe in innovation and enterprise.
Wonder if the Eckhart Tolle webinar with Oprah resulted in more of his app sales the past day or so?
Thanks for sharing this information. Does it suggest to you some form of intentional pps sabotage?
Pretty entertaining board today. Pretty entertaining activity with respect to the pps. You only lose when you sell, good to see weak hands getting out.
The dubious have coalesced into the obvious.
I am keeping mine, too. Smoke screens don't stand up to much scrutiny.
Diode, your thinking is so clear, please help me sort this out. Am I correct in the understanding that each day MRNJ is amassing an additional 5000 customer names in its data base through the use of push notifications and that those customer names will be used in conjunction with Autopost, which can then be a tool to solicit those customers Facebook friends with i-mobilize promotional ads, etc.? Doing the math, each month of push notifications helps the company gather 150,000 names. Thusly, as the days pass and the database creeps upwards it is actually a smartly-intended phase of planning that is setting up Autopost for a good probable showing from the start. Taking it a little further, if those on the Facebook friends lists are appealed to, then how do/can the friends of friends get absorbed into the Metatron database, for example, does that happen by them actively responding to some aspect of the ported Autopost, such as clicking on an embedded i-ad that is attached to the Autopost? Is that possible, to attach an i-ad or several of them to the Autopost, if you know? If all this borrowing of databases is achieved by responding to i-ads then is one to infer that the i-ad revenue for Metatron is about to take a steep upwards climb with the activation of Autopost? Is this potential IP that can be shared through licensing agreements with other app-based businesses?
To my recollection it was mentioned in a company blog some time around this spring or summer so was public info.
Also, keep in mind that the company has to be very smart about what it lets out of the bag, so-to-speak. If it has technology that will augment its plans with Appflix then it is understandable that very little info comes out until appropriate ie,launch, might explain why they hinted they might prolong the launch awaiting first tier content. who knows? Actually, if you think about it, some time was involved, a year or two, in securing the brilliant trademark name Appflix, and the shareholders, I for one, knew absolutely nothing about the trademark name, filing, or status until it was announced last week. I think the dots will all connect when the timing is right and the environment secure.
Just email: ir@metatroninc.com. I always get a fast reply, within a few hours to questions. Just as an aside, I thought that the company's blog on Thursday said something about revealing more about its intellectual properties soon, but maybe that was only referencing the info regarding autopost in yesterday's Marketwire. If you don't want to write to them about it I will gladly volunteer to do so.
Diode, good to see you are back. Good to see the board has returned to intelligent conversations today following yesterday's onslaught.
Storm, great post, Monday should be a great day after Eckart Tolle's webinar with Oprah tomorrow. Keep the good news coming!
Like I said earlier in my deleted message, I BELIEVE in MRNJ.
Storm...reply from IR today. Earlier today on the board there was discussion about the possibility of MRNJ spinning- off i-mobilize. I wrote to them with an inquiry regarding where I would stand with my investment if they were to have a spin-off. As usual, they replied promply to my inquiry, within an hour or two, and addressed my inquiry directly.
Here is the text of my reply received from Metatron's IR:
"There are no plans for a spin off at this time. If one were to occur in the future, management would only proceed if current shareholders were properly compensated and/or retained an interest in the spin-off. Management is 100% committed to increasing shareholder value long-term."
I am quite satisfied with this straight forward response and hope that it might allay any trepidations that anyone else might have regarding this discussion.
I will write to IR and inquire about this possibility and let you know if I get a response.
Diode, if I-mobilize would be spun off to another exchange, which I presume is what you are implying here, can you explain to me how that typically works, ie; what becomes of my investment in MRNJ? Would I retain a comparable interest in both when that is done?
I believe you, it makes good sense. Thanks for your persistence and clarity!
If MRNJ is so bad as some suggest then could someone please explain to me in my feeble understanding of high finances, just WHY the CLIENT BASE at MRNJ is INCREASING and there is NO ATTRITION going on...CONTRARILY, as today's blog reaffirms there is INCREASED BUSINESS FROM ESTABLISHED HIGH PROFILE CLIENTS, ie; Tolle sending an announcement of his app to 250,000 followers and MRNJ directing/executing new work with Glenn Harrold to set up a better website, etc. That does NOT sound as though MRNJ's established biggest clients are unhappy to me. If MRNJ's most prodigious clients are happy and getting MORE INVOLVED then why should the shareholders be buying into the hotly proposed recent notion that this is a shell by a croked group of fly-by-nights?
Can you repeat what you suggested earlier about the "911" share sale, sounds like it was a signal indeed.
Pure conjecture as to who really is doing the selling
Agreed. All-knowing humans are suspect
If you don't like the Q3 report then sell your shares.
Old news, not sure it was a bonus, rather payment for work done.
GREAT company summary, thanks Storm!
It's almost 2013, get with the times, read today's Q3 report
Where are the oldtimers today???Not much talk about the PROFIT from today's Q3 report. Seems strange, was LOTS of talk last Q2 report about the positive $300-$400 quarterly profit back then, would think that it would be abuzz today.
The ultimate contradiction to today's Q3.
And what is your point?
Yes, thanks Storm! It is something we need to print out for easy reference.
wouldn't be the first time any of us got bashed, lol
