Anavex looking awful. Broke support at 7.60, and has not even made an attempt to challenge that price at all, not even close. This concept stock looking very bad. There is a lot of evidence proving that when rate raising cycles end, the general markets start going down. This is the historic pattern for the most. WE are very close to halting now the rate raising cycle. Where might AVXL go? I fear the dreaded NEWS RELEASE from Avxl, which is sure to tank the stock 10 percent or more, sometimes much more. Where are the fundamentals? Funds do not want an equivocating, ambiguous baby bio self advertising "Alzheimer's Cure" stock. They know the crazy self made up "classifications" and biomarkers and the proclaimed gains of 3 or 4 percent in some of the people, some of the time. The funds won't buy a dime's worth. They know the deal that is going on.
In several years from now you will look back and think to yourself, why of course it should have been obvious. These knucklheads in DC could not run a cool aide stand and in fact, much of the evidence to date suggests they actually want to cause the destruction of the u.s. economy. How could I have ever thought that wall street prices would not implode eventually with them at the helm? People are running, not walking as far away as they can get from California, their preferred "business model" they seek to export nationwide.
What was I doing being in the stock market?
"Thank you sir, may I have another punch in the kisser?"
except for the reverse split of about 7 years ago, this stock, after 16 years, would be around 3 bucks, which is what these tiny scam stocks are on the regional exchanges. They have played this game very well, much respect, but the studies suggest if your candidate must wait 10 or 11 years, it will never move the needle. It is just a way to play financial markets, to use wall street, to go and get your money with dilutions, to rope in the elderly who have no idea. and Funds know this. They are part of the game, but none are putting any fresh money in these little racketeering scams. Anavex will be at reverse split adjusted 75 cents in a year from now.
What is the product?
Message boards, that is the product and what they sell. They grabbed 130 million, courtesy of hyper inflated liquid wall street market, but they have no real product, except getting that money. Nothing. The elderly here bullheaded, have no idea, Almost all never stood on their own two feet, spoiled kiddies of gov or corporate employment. they will learn very hard and terrible lessons and lesions.
This is the way it has always been in public markets. There is nothing new under the sun. These people on this board except for DOC, have no credentials whatsoever. They are merely opinionated money losing targets and this is the way such have always been.
at the risk of stating the obvious, the s/p broke major support 3 days ago, which was 7.60ish. It cratered down, which I predicted, and it has also made an effort to regain price support today, which I also predicted. It may have a couple more efforts but the path is down. This is basic ABC stuff. Hope is not a way to exist in the stock market. Equities move based on fundamentals. This stock, and this equity market will be dramatically lower in about a year, in a massive bear market, which will destroy the fatuous and baby like and wefared Americans, so many of whom have had careers in the welfared guaranteed healthcare space, who could never earn an honest dollar on their own two feet, and who will now sink firmly into their emerging Oligarhic hybrid totalitarian state. If you cannot see this, you do not know enough to get out of the rain. You are probably a gov worker or recently retired gov worker. Or fools like this knucklehead who says every day and week, "good news is coming, and "nonsense." He does not have a pot to pizz in or a window to throw it out of. Clueless about life. The Reign of the Emerging Central State. The best is yet to come.
and what is coming is not a wedding dress rehearsal. Men cannot afford to be foolish "mentals" obsessed with "the amyloid theory" of some aging phenom they describe as alzheimers, but have no idea really how this works....., only the crazies can be so foolish and they are destitute or inevitably will be over time
. Avxl will be at 4 bucks in about 1 year, give or take. I again demand that the elders here walk to their bathroom mirrors, slap that person in the mirror in the face, wak up, get out of their ridiculous life, and guard their money. This micro bio failed stock is no where to put your money. Pigheaded Fools are here, and they will be parted. And they already have been partially parted. They will receive a bigger taste.
mark my words.
This stock is a bow wow, the 2 year chart is horrendous, and there are no news catalysts that the market cares about. Every PR is fudged, forgotten quickly or faked and the market sells off every single time. The money here is from elderly retail who have an interest in the aging process, and also random biotech funds who buy the sector blindly and have money to spend, where they throw it at 100 or more biotecs in the sector. The promise of a rock solid company with a miracle cure in a 25 billion dollar market has been revealed to be a fantasy. The stock that once went from 4 to 13 split adjusted is now going back to 4. It will be there well inside of the next 2 years.
Some will insist that since the PR did not explicitly say ADCS-ADL missed 0.05 significance that it did meet that level. Then again, people on this board post the darnedest things. Anyone posting otherwise must be in the cabal or paid by the cabal
So true. Clownshow. The Board is full of AzzClowns. I suppose because they have made so much money by investing in anavex. ?. One Simpleton says he and his friends own many hundreds of thousands of shares. AZZ (clown). You can post any damed thing you want. The best thing these types can do is guzzle extra strength cold pressed olive oil from Crete. A quart a day. The good stuff. Anavex should go buy some and promote it as their new wonder compound. Maybe do a start up. A board full of money losing no credential bigmouths.
You are hilarious. Nobody in their right mind would listen to you for financial advice. If you have any friends, they do not have money to invest in the stock market. Please Rupert, turn that thing down. Your friends are all on this chatboard. Imaginaries.
This entire equity market is gonna crack like a rotton egg. These stocks are at almost an all time Stock EQUITY overvaluation extreme. Either by Buffett's formula, the conventional PE method or the CAPE. It is an incredible Ponzi and the risks are huge. It is priced for perfection. Running on fumes.
They won't be his friends any longer. You give somebody a bad stock tip and they will secretly resent you for the rest of their lives. fact. It is a good way to lose friends.
"Let's see how this plays out." Have you been paying attention for the last 2.5 years?
bas thinks he can trade his way into more shares with his ceaseless FUD campaign. Too funny. It takes all kinds.
it is entirely possible that AVXL will hold 7 bucks today. But the shareprice did not break multi year support at 7.60 (as I have so accurately expressed previously) to stop at a mere 7 bucks. No way Charlie. The share price will at some point in the near future, and possibly very near future, break 7 to the downside and continue down to the next support which is around 6 bucks. In other words, the stock is "going down." This is the most likely move based on the past 2-3 years of chart action.
The new Business Plan: terminate Missiling with much sincere appreciation. When he came on over a decade ago, the share price was 4 bucks, and the company had 12 million in cash. Now the share price is up more than 75% and the company has over 100 million in the bank. Give him a 1 million dollar bonus for doing a good job and a box of new steak knives. Fire 90% of the current employees immediately, and shut down all the trials, including 371. Tell the people that unfortunately it is unlikely or highly unlikely that the anavex drugs will ever get approved, and therefore, it makes no sense for them to stay in the program. Tell them the BOD has decided to "go in another direction." Keep the top 5 minds, and hire the 30 new bird dogs I just mentioned, and get and stay small until you close on the one or two new targeted drugs to purchase. Give all employees who are being let go a set of new shiny steak knives. Tell them it was that or the company was en route to go bust. That you have an obligation to the company owners. That the dead wood is all being let go.....that Alzheimers is a bad seed. Tell them anything you want but that they are fired. Give them the steak knives and wish them well.
Tell them Anavex is a private company and it cannot afford to waste any more money and effort and then just slam new shares down the throats of the owners.
Tell them you are from Mitch and Murray and that this is actually a mission of mercy.
What all the new hires should do is agree to throw 10 million dollars into the pot, hire 30 smart people connected to academia and research joints, and go out and purchase or license a couple new drugs. These 30 people would be consultants or bird dogs whose sole job is to look under every rock on earth to find one or two new drugs for Anavex. Scour the globe. In other words, start from scratch and it doesn't have to be in the alzheimer's area, in fact their marching order would be "anything but Alzheimers and parkinsons. Here is some hard cash to throw around and conduct appropriate industrial espionage. Find it or you are fired. You have 1 year. Do whatever it takes. Payoffs blackmail whatever...." and your second order is this: "small drugs R us. no more of this 40 billion dollar annual market stuff. We want to mine the area that big pharma does not care about (since they will never let us get approved in such an area, nor will their FDA), .. but that will still make lots of mullah. We want drugs in the 300 to 500M annual sales nothing larger or you will be fired."
When you are dealing in the biotech, med tech area, pharma area, you gotta keep these freeloaders and morons and money eaters on a short leash. Because they naturally all love the gravy and will take advantage of you; in fact this is what they do. Friday paycheck types.
The company has the cash, now it needs a potential product in a winnable area of medicine.
You must be new.
This little chatboard is fun; it has no connection to the stock price, but with its assorted cast of Cali Crazies and other Royal Nonesuches, it provides a measure of entertainment. Like the search of Jason, and his Argonauts, for the golden fleece which could restore life and turn back the clock. This is the much fabled Blarcasimine. The Golden FLEECE of retail peeps. How many here have been fleeced?
sort of like the Romans at times, who for entertainment got a very large burlap bag, and stuffed in it a leopard, a large constrictor, a raptor (an eagle or hawk), and a christian, and then tied the bag up and pushed it into a fast moving river. What a way to go!
Sort of what this board is, for entertainment purposes. Dr. Christ I mean Dr. Chris his many programs, which are here, there and everywhere he says he will sprout them up like the Hydra's teeth but it never happens. delay this, forget we ever said that....
I thought you said I was. We call you "cheap speed." A mile wide, an inch deep. Blundering through life. How is your account doing these days? You won't want to see it in 2 years from now.
well, yes people want reality too, they will struggle heroically, even fighting the disease of mental illness. . I agree with that concept and you are right there for sure..
you may. We are early. We all may sooner or later.
it is more comfortable, especiallly as we age, to live in a static world. But Change, as St. Augustine wrote, is the rule of life. People do not like change. Somebody suffering, to use an extreme case, of skitzophrenia, will not come out of the delusion. They want to stay there and will fight to stay there. A tragic and awful way for a person to live, such is mental illness. But that is the extreme example which shows the rule. People will stay in their own world. They are loath to change, especially as we age. Most are in varying degrees, "evidence proof." Young people on the other hand who are healthy are very different. Their minds are fresh and open. a Fact.
older people in the end just want to have their opinions and livein their world, to state the reality and mindset of most. Social psych studies and jury studies prove this beyond doubt. It is funny actually.
well said but not everything to be sure. Earthlings are incapable of perferctly ordering their lives and strategies, so let's not overrate them. They are clumsy. If you know criminals ((I do) either violent or the white collar ones, what you learn is that they are not overly bright, to put it mildly. But they do plan. They do engage in criminal planning; ie. few crimes are spontaneous, most require a level of brutish planning, i.e. which often involves another and this is the most common crime charged by police and prosecutors in the world. the law calls this a conspiracy (basically), whereby the central state not only punishes the act but also, surprisingly, the criminal mindset, with a very slight bit of conduct, as an independent crime. the most commonly charged crime on earth, every society btw. People who parrot this media strategy that there are no criminal conspiracies have not the slightest idea of human conduct or the criminal laws under which every society lives. They are drones, i.e. bigmouths easily programmed. Watch the sopranos Bas, as I know you have, a fairly decent rendition of the criminal mind. they constantly engage in criminal planning and sometimes brutishly carry it out successfully, but often they fail. The mafia is not made of bright people for the most part, never has been, but the criminal mindset is indeed determined in its oafish and violent way. It is all they know.
"From which institution did you escape?"
I graduated from the School of Hard Knocks. It was located on Route 66, where I learned about life the hard way and she was all that and then some. Loved every minute of it.
You remind me of another story. I had fished this big blonde girl, herself a lawyer, out of this Irish Bar....(she later became the president of our state bar association. She did not age well, got heavy) and she was a curvy woman proud of her latvian heritage, a striking upturned nose and physique, loved titles, and she was tipsy and totally having a blast, in a cheerful mood, and so I drive us home and we get out of my car as I am parking us, in the city, where my pals had helped me rehab a dynamite brownstone, what the neighbors termed a "fraternity house." ....and so she and I get out, all giggly, and this other car drives up, parks right behind us and a guy gets out. This is almost 1 in the morning. He just stands there, about 30 feet, in the darkness on the curb. I say to her, do you know him? She responds, Yes he is my guardian. I am like what the hell? ...Do you mean he is your bodyguard, I say. And then I say it again, real slow like, do you mean he is your bodyguard. She gets it, laughs and says no he is not that, we go in and lock the door.
You are not the bodyguard of the board Bas, it is an open forum, a stock chat board. Get back in your car, drive home. Get some rest.
"Delay is typical in biotech". I agree, a profound observation. A decade here, a decade there, pretty soon you are talking about a real lifespan. It is more important to be an "investor." Charge!
The Charge of the Biotech Investor Lightheaded Brigade?
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the Anavex six hundred.
“Forward, the Biotech Retail Light Brigade!
Ignore the facts, forget the delays
Charge for the guns!” he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the Anavex Retail six hundred.
II
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”
Was there a man financially dismayed?
Not though the biotech investor knew
Misleading had blundered.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and finacially die.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

People don't want to know about the real circus. They would rather gamble at an american casino or the stock market. here it is. https://goldswitzerland.com/rising-gdp-rising-yields-a-major-sign-of-uh-oh/
it exists, like several other thousand Naz and S and P stocks due to one thing: liquiidity.
Jay Powell has pumped in so much liquidity the past 3 months, for the financial institutions, while at the same time jacking up rates to crush the Americans. He fully re-liquified the prior 1.4 years of draining the sytem, by about 1/3, to keep the public markets up. He knows that to kill inflation he needs to kill the economy, but he is determined to keep the stock market and his financial community of which he is a charter member, way high and high and high.
His little gambit will fail. Just ask the german bankers in the early 1920s.....they too crashed and crashed after about 4 years of wildly good times, where money was everything and everywhere.
no. here is what will stop it. Buyers beware. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4633052-long-treasuries-short-stocks
"protect yourself (and your pension) at all times in the ring" as they say in boxing. You cannot depend on the referree to keep you from harm. If you are depending on the FED, you suffer from the recency concept and probably have a sickness to gamble. Avxl will not buck what is coming. Here is what's coming:
If the market were to rise to 3.50 sigmas instantaneously, the S&P 500 should rally 8%.
"....However, if the market falls to the average of the last ten years (0 sigmas), we should prepare for losses of over 30%. If it falls below zero, as is typical, more significant losses are likely in store.
The odds are not in your favor, even with rose-tinted glasses on."
The Shiller PE is also at nosebleed, once in 50 year levels. Only once in U.S. history has this price earnings measurement been higher. Today's CAPE is higher than 1929, and the regulators, and price and interest rate fixers like the FED and Treasury Depts. are far more corrupt. The X U.S. landscape with China, Japan and Europe is even worse.

A Summary and Analysis of Macbeth’s ‘If it were done when ’tis done’ Soliloquy
By Dr Oliver Tearle (Loughborough University)
‘If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well / It were done quickly’: so begins one of the most famous and revealing soliloquies in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
The words, spoken by Macbeth himself as he considers whether he can go through with the murder of Duncan, appear in act I scene VII of Macbeth and see Macbeth, in a room in his castle, meditating on whether to go through with his (and his wife’s) plan to murder Duncan, the king, and seize the throne of Scotland for himself.
"If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well
It were done quickly: if the assassination
Could trammel up the consequence, and catch,
With his surcease, success;"
and Macbeth learns after his murder, that he cannot "jump the life hereafter," as he fantasizes as a murderer of his own king, his guest, his kinsman.. He cannot escape what waits for him, a murderer, upon his demise. He cannot.
If you have a better place to invest high risk money then let's hear it,
that is a trap I have also fallen into. A man only makes so much money in his life. Women can be friviolous, but not for long, a man even less. There are times to get small, the bad times will come.
I know where not to invest: in wild spec equities in biotech when the market is at perhaps the 3rd most over valued in american history.
That is a guaranteed way to be clobbered.

experimenting is fine, nothing wrong, but not in an area that is completely opague and in the darkness, and not where you are putting your money down in the darkness. It is suicidal investing. Everybody wants to be an informed amateur during amateur hour. I remember so well dozens of clients, many in jail sadly, many little more than diligent subway philosophers of law, or how to write a brief, and their work was primitive. Leave the reasearch to the professionals, because an amateur is just a well wisher. But for heavensakes, do not put your money down on it. You have no idea, like these old jail house lawyers who would spend 30 or 40 or 60 or 150 hours or 250 hours in the jail's law library (they have them btw, the jails of america do), working their butts off, trying to become a "legal researcher", writing up well intentioned gobblydeeGOOK..... and come out and make a decision about their lives or the lives of others. Believing they know the law, the facts, the hundred important things, people completely unfortunate and overmatched...That they know the law, and how to get out of jail free, to escape the coop, to fly free of the cage and they would write up all kinds of stuff.
Amateur hour. follow at will, but not with your hard earned cash. A man only makes so much mullah in his life.
Funds own this, sparingly. They could care less, they make a bet on 60 companies, who knows and hope a few hit and the sector also goes up. That is their approach.
for an individual to put his money down, where a company continuously comes up short, and then think he knows alzheimer's medicine, and chemistry................is just living a dream.

it does indeed seem like hero worship. Credentials, "Smedentials." Titles are worth something some of the time. The entire Medical Research industry is corrupted. A government grant machine the entire medical industry suspect, money flowing this way or that, everybody with their silly titles and god knows from where doctorates, saying silly sheat half the time, wanting that second home down at the beach or the shore. .............
in the meantime, nothing. no follow up. comments count for sheat.
It is all jargon by professionals......people who are impressed by titles, are amateur hour. Weak. Lightweights. people on the gov tit or corporate dole.. I have chopped up hundreds on the witness stand, on cross examination. When you get the jury laughing you know you have won, or will win when it later convenes. Ever hear the expression," getting laughed out of court." Trust me, done that many times. The juries loved it, had a blast, what starts as a smile ends in laughter, in open court, as the expert starts coughing and calling for water, which the Judge kindly gives him....this has happened so many times, and then they get off the stand and make a bee line for the door but leave their papers and later come back for them
the gov people and corporate people are...friday check cashers. money sloshing around this corruption. On the dole, these college grant seekers, to supplement their incomes.
Kund's analysis has been spot on accurate and correct as can be for years now. Doc shows an attention to detail, a sophisticated and interested mind who follows up, unlike this here company.
the truth hurts.
You are right and let's be real this is just a chatboard. But if the food is slop or it comes out late from the restuarant's kitcheen and it is cold, you should tell waiter or the receptionist at the front.
and besides, my favorite restuarant is now way too crowded these days. The american "consumers."
Nobody goes there anymore.
it was an entirely and yet another ad hoc or post hoc or posterior hoc or actually post mortum catagory. And a tiny tiny one at that (people here call that "N" kind of when it suits them) which, as I suggested, may well be a product of fluid assessments? Does the FDA in this area have this as a defined catagory? As we used to call kids who majored in sociology or psychology or threatre or journalism adult sexuality or communications or biometrics or "drama" or race relations......(and stuff today is really and truly from the planet Mars) way back when in college,.......... these are "made up majors" for the California types. And now, check any college, which are debt business, and most push these made up major course of studies by the truck full to these defenseless kids with no shame. The kids have shame, but these colllege employees, none. More gov leeches.
The animals now run the circuses. Cotton candy "studies" for the gov leeches. Made up sheat.
and when you are a tiny guy and you have to invent something for the fda gov leeches who have shown their true hideous big pharma faces, the masks having now been dropped the past 3 years more than once, you are in a heep of trouble.
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41bpxINxPoL._SL350_.jpg
Yep, the whole idea of "super responders" is very dicey indeed. The company first created that phrase after the old early phase 2 trial, early proof of claim trial, which came back very bad. So they created this new concept, out of whole cloth. Where does the FDA have an approval catagory for 4% so called super responders, where even this whole idea, with fluid and liquid and so often subjective assessments?

Doc238 has forgotten more about FDA approval processes, and the medical neurology in this area of medicine than anybody on this board will ever learn; indeed, probably more than everybody else put together. He is an experienced neurologist, the area of this company is neurology and he is a highly sophisticated investor who has standards.
He ain't buying. He would like to buy, because he is an excellent trader/investor, but this stock does not pass his standards for investing. What don't the rabble on this board get about this? That they think they know better? That Anavex in 10+ years of its existence, does not have a single drug in Phase 3 testing. That the CEO is deeply mistrusted by the funds in this sector, due to a long history of delays, changing goal posts, mistatements, failure to follow through with evidence for his claims? Claims of partners making inquiries have predictably dried up. Proposed trials for other drugs evaporated. Claims by the company which never come into tangible existence..

If it goes lower, regardless of unsupported claims by management, I will buy even more and more. I simply cannot get enough shares.
There is no basis for anybody here to think they know better than Doc238 about this equity.
