lol cant believe people are selling down here. Congrats to the smart people picking up cheapies!
"China has already shown what it can do when it controls the world’s supply of a particular rare earth element. Over the past five years, neodymium, a rare earth element used in rechargeable batteries, has shot up almost 400%. This uncontrollable price increase can be blamed on China controlling the production of the rare earth as well as an increasing appetite for it. This is what we meant by a dangerous situation. You’re probably wondering why you haven’t heard about neodymium before this report. As we continue to run low on supply of rare earths you’ll likely hear a lot more about it as its price continues to skyrocket."

Scott knows what he's doing, he didn't just recently buy more claims, to JV them right away. What have we even done on the SE zone, SE 2 zone. There's no way in hell he ever expected to get a fair JV on the WHOLE property at this point. Exploration is almost completed on the Hawke zone! We will do a JV on the Hawke zone and continue to prove up the SE and SE2 zones on our own IMO.
Interesting book on mineral exploration. Page 230, confirms what Scott had said about the spacing of the drilled holes not needing to be 50m apart.

Same here, I was pretty happy with the close, considering all the doom and gloom on the board. Fact is this is still the best Investment out there. If I wasn't already in this stock I would be extremely excited to buy in at these bargain prices! I don't see what was so bad about the last PR, were people honestly expecting the announcement of a JV? As far as I'm concerned Scott is still doing what he said, finish their last set of holes, update NI, seek a JV next?. He never said he was going to JV the whole property. I think he'll do a JV on the Hawke zone, there's not much work left to do on the Hawke zone.
Long term capital gains is 15%for now, short term is just normal tax rates.
All this whining and complaining is amusing, the fundamentals are still strong. I'm holding all my shares, if this drops any lower I'll just have to find a way to buy more shares! Congratulations to all the buyers today!
This may be a ways off but this will be a huge catalyst IMO.
"1. Updating the resource calculations in the Hawke Zone,
2. Further exploration to continue to test the lateral and depth extensions
of the Hawke Zone,
3. Defining the size of the South East Zone mineralized area,
4. Defining the additional property potential along the remaining magnetic
circular structure, including airborne geophysics,
5. Preparation for a project scoping study."
Here's MDN's scoping study on their niobium project.

"Kores sees golden opportunity to increase mine holdings"
http://joongangdaily.joins.com/article/view.asp?aid=2921373
"In light of the intensifying competition, what are Kores’ reserve levels of such minerals, and what is the target?
The government expects us to hoard enough stocks of eight key minerals [chrome, molybdenum, antimony, titanium, tungsten, niobium, selenium and rare earth metals] to last for 60 days by 2016 to guard against emergencies.
But the reserve amounts vary significantly for each mineral. For instance, our chrome reserve is 8.836 tons, far below the target of 69,700 tons, while the level of molybdenum reserves - 430 tons - is also far short of the target of 2,280 tons. Our rare earth metal reserve of 3 tons isn’t close to the 1,164 ton target and would only last for less than a day. Tungsten reserves, on the other hand, are around 35 tons versus the target of 44 tons."
There's no way we can prove up this whole entire property, to the point where we would get a fair JV on it. We don't have the funds available, it will take millions just to complete the drilling. Scott would end up giving billions away. That's why I think we'll do a JV on the Hawke zone first. jmho.
Why are they doing an updated resource calculation, before testing the lateral and depth extension of the Hawke zone? Doesn't really make sense to me. I'm not dissapointed at all with the news today. I'm not thrilled on what they've accomplished so far this year. Although, I believe they've been busy behind the scenes. I think Scott will do multiple JV's on the property. I can still see a JV happening this year, on the Hawke zone. All Imo

"CBMM to increase ferroniobium output to 100000 tonnes in 2014
Tuesday, 01 Jun 2010
World's largest niobium producer Cia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineracao of Brazil said that the firm increases the ferroniobium to 100,000 tonnes in 2014, which is 1.5 times of estimated volume in 2010.
The firm expects the demand increases according to higher production of high valued steel for automobile fuel saving and pipeline for LNG.
The firm expands the production capacity along with the demand growth to secure the additional capacity much more than the sales volume. The top supplier with world 80% share tries to keep stable supply even in accident."
Sherritt Ambatovy nickel project in Madagascar. "Korean Consortium and SNC-Lavalin to join Sumitomo and Dynatec in Ambatovy Nickel Project Dynatec to receive US$852 million in financial support from its partners Korea Eximbank issues letter of intent to provide US$650 million of project debt financing" Located in Madagascar, Ambatovy is a world-class, large tonnage nickel project that is positioned to be among the world's biggest lateritic nickel mines. Sherritt, the project operator, has a 40% ownership position, Sumitomo and Korea Resources each have a 27.5% stake, and the project's engineering contractor, SNC-Lavalin, has a 5% interest.
Ambatovy is a long-life lateritic nickel project with annual design capacity of 60,000 tonnes of nickel and 5,600 tonnes of cobalt. The mine life is currently projected to be 27 years. Ore characteristics, which are similar to those found at Moa, Cuba, combined with a similar hydrometallurgy operating process, position Sherritt to be a leader in the extraction of nickel and cobalt from lateritic ores using hydrometallurgy."
Those are some Huge world class mines.

We've got so much going for us, investment opportunity of a life time. It's easy for me to forget just how much we really have. All I need to do is spend sometime reviewing some DD, and I'm excited as ever about Sarissa! This is HUGE!
This is going to be a very good summer for Sarissa and it's share holders, IMO.
"Values as high as 53.9 grams per tonne (1.57 ounces per ton) gold were obtained. These results confirm that gold mineralization on the property is found within a broad spectrum of geological horizons, and the potential for a large tonnage deposit is very promising."
From another junior explorer in the shining tree area
"The Juby Main Zone located on the Juby Lease Property has an Indicated Resource of 8.61 Mt grading 1.73 g/t gold (479,000 ounces of gold) and an Inferred Resource of 3.51 Mt grading 1.65 g/t gold (186,000 ounces of gold) at a 1.0 g/t cutoff. The deposit remains open at depth and along strike."
Haven't seen this much activity on a weekend in a LOOOOONG time. Always nice to see people excited about srsr again! Our time is coming!
good luck with that.
First of all, what was their OS share count when that happened?
LOL!!!!!! that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard!
how was it created?
It's all hype and rumors imo. We're way further ahead, all we need is financing, and for Keevil to reveal his plan.
hey that's around $800 in volume! lol

hahaha. Wow.
A lot of exploration going on around our shining tree claims. I don't know exactly where we are located, somewhere in the churchill and asquith areas.

No doubt, hopefully soon. If not, whatever I can wait.
Gotta love it, all these gold scams running today. Yet here we are with billions in the ground, top notch management and barely hanging on to .04 cents. Wish I had money to add shares.
Good luck, definitely has potential. Money to be made here IMO. One of the few pinks that are actually legit.
Just so you know I think KATX is a great investment, and if I had the funds would definitely put money in here. I just think it's ridiculous when people go around saying it's going to $2. They're only in the beginning stages of exploration. Gltya! I think you guys are going to do very good here.
NG
For one thing they've been exploring their Donlin creek property since 2000 and are still working on the feasibility study.
#1 its on the nyse
#2 they just recently received 175 million in financing.
#3 PROVEN reserves
#4 JV's with mining giants Barrick Gold and Teck Cominco
The Galore Creek resource estimate totals measured and indicated resources of 8.9billion pounds of copper, 7.3 million ounces of gold and 123 million ounces of silver, with additional inferred resources of 4.0 billion pounds of copper, 4.9 million ounces of gold and 80 million ounces of silver. A complete breakdown of the Galore Creek resource estimate is included in an Appendix to this press release.
thats right.
Theres no way an exploration company years from mining will have a market cap over a billion $'s
