"In light of the intensifying competition, what are Kores’ reserve levels of such minerals, and what is the target?

The government expects us to hoard enough stocks of eight key minerals [chrome, molybdenum, antimony, titanium, tungsten, niobium, selenium and rare earth metals] to last for 60 days by 2016 to guard against emergencies.

But the reserve amounts vary significantly for each mineral. For instance, our chrome reserve is 8.836 tons, far below the target of 69,700 tons, while the level of molybdenum reserves - 430 tons - is also far short of the target of 2,280 tons. Our rare earth metal reserve of 3 tons isn’t close to the 1,164 ton target and would only last for less than a day. Tungsten reserves, on the other hand, are around 35 tons versus the target of 44 tons."
