"Increased transparency and better means of surveillance appear to have lessened the need," for the rule, Cox said.
Funny how people get away with saying something like that and are never challenged by the journalists... as long as they keep a straight enough face. Reminds me when the FCC chairman said that he approved the merger between AT&T and SBC to "promote competition" ;)
I'm a seller, just haven't seen the right price yet :)
Well, true, you can demand :)
To andswer your question, it's a very profound piece of TA, and quite a clear one, too. Nothing beats clarity :)
Umm, are we in a position to demand anything? :) Well, I suppose, we can demand that rain to end RIGHT ABOUT NOW!!! Hmm, is it still there? Damn, it is :)
Right, and this here is a startup (and just had a 504). Also, with more established companies, PPS affects the company's market cap, which, in turns, affects the credit available to it. Since, unfortunately, most companies today operate on credit, shorting does affect their operations. It also affects their potential customers' view of the company, and whether or not they want to deal with the company they perceive as being in trouble. As such, shorting can eventually drive a company into bankruptcy.
If RVGD secures financing independent of their stock, that'll be a great news for it, in my opinion. If it relies on selling its shares to raise working capital, as has been the case, shorting does affect it.
Or one can naked-short a company into bankruptcy and not have to deliver the shares. That's how it normally works.
Well, the SGLS dividend was 1 to 100, not 1 to 1.
Hmm, I hear that a lot. I wonder, if there's some sort of conspiracy against me :)
You mean, sharpened my wit beyond comprehension by mere mortals? :)
What's that, halting the stock? No thank you, my position is small, but I like it :)
Grudge? Sounds like the opposite of marrying a stock. What's this, a stock divorce proceedings? :)
Ah, I see. I had to deal with this crap at a different time, when such decisions were made at a higher level. Hmm, why would one want those with a patrol, anyway? Too dangerous on so many levels.
Quickbooks.
Can't, have to call in :)
WOuldn't that be your CO's decision? Or were you the CO?
Luckily, no reporters wanted to be embedded with us, when they were explained that they'd have to WALK the whole time :) My CO swore that if they give us a newsie, the newsie will pull his share of the platoon gear. WHichever was the reason, we didn't get a newsie until Baghdad, and by then I wasn't with my unit, anyway.
Now seriously, who'd want to dump at the bid when the bid and ask spread is so big and it sells on the ask quite well.
Interesting volume on LLEG. It's also interesting that now that the markets are down, we're going up (and we were going down while the markets were going up).
Yet you're not siblings? How does that work? :)
Heh, just heard an interview with a Marine on NPR. SOme guy was embedded with his unit, and wrote a book about him (and the rest of the unit). So, the reporter (by the virtue of her profession you can guess where her bias is) tried hard to have him say something like "oh, I feel so bad for shooting at the poor downtrodden people there", or something of the kind. But the most interesting part was the guy who wrote the book about this. The NPR reporter asked him something like, "how did you feel when the convoy you were a part of shot two little Afghan boys?". There I thought they shot 5or 6 year olds, but apparently one was 14 and the other one was 16. It's not a BOY in Afghanistan, not after 13! And they were running towards the convoy with backpacks. Anyway, the wroter said, "I felt very safe. The gunner picked them with such precision and at such a long distance. I figured, sitting next to this gunner was the safest place I could be in right now" :)
Gotta look up the podcast of this when they release it.
Yeah, only since one has to call in, the good deal just runs away from you. WHat there was of the good deal to begin with, it only touched there :s Damn Etrade, and my Prodigy account isn't ready yet.
I thought, stem cells were the most evil cells in a body. They eat other cells for breakfast and are generally more dangerous than any form of cancer. In fact, they should be eliminated completely.
Oh, and while we're at it, people are going to that stem cell research institute in China to have their vision restored.
Good idea, time to reload :)
Added some LLEG here.
Pre-deployment physical :)
Nah, too flashy, and not in a good way :)
It's called an internal organ, you're actually supposed to have them.
Only contrary to the name, you can't take it up in the air - it's not TSA-approved :) That is, TSA people don't recognize it as a laptop, and they ought to know, right?
I am NOT trusting myself to someone who practices medicine! :)
All of 'em! I eat them for breakfast! :)
Abhore the things! :)
Just trying to keep things in perspective :)
Being the heart of the party and all.
Hello, inflation :)
Are we starting a cult here? :)
Hopes is probably the key word :)
Hopes for litigation?
Medical school and residency do that to you, I guess ;)
WHat the hell? Had the bid in at .002, it's printing .0019, but no fill.
Pretty sad. That being said, what the hell was he thinking putting all his money (AND margin) into a single play??? Oh, right, he was thinking that he'll "get rich quick, it's a life-changing stock". Heard this a few times too many on iHub boards, too. When will people realize that lottery is not the way to change their lives? For that matter, the success stories you read about when it comes to winning the lottery have to do with people who were doing alright before they won it, as well. Those who weren't, well, adding money to the mix didn't improve the matters any.
I should probably be ashamed of myself, but seeing so much stupidity these days (not saying it wasn't there before, there're just more opportunities to show it off these days, and it's not considered to be a shame to display it anymore), I just can't feel too sorry for someone acting stupid on so many counts. Guess I won't be the heart of a party anytime soon :)
Damn, missed the shake on LLEG... Oh well, some other time, still got my old position, anyway...
