STEC Board Approves $10 Million Stock Repurchase Program
SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov 17, 2008 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- STEC, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEC) today announced, that its board of directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to $10 million of its common stock over an 18-month period commencing November 19, 2008 following the expiration of its existing stock repurchase plan on November 18, 2008.
Shares of common stock may be purchased from time to time at prevailing market prices through open market or unsolicited negotiated transactions, at times and in such amounts as management deems appropriate. The timing and actual number of shares repurchased will depend on a variety of factors including price, corporate and regulatory requirements, and other market conditions. There is no guarantee as to the exact number of shares that will be repurchased by STEC, and the Company may discontinue purchases at any time without prior notice. STEC may enter into a Rule 10b5-1 plan designed to facilitate the purchase of shares under the stock repurchase program. Repurchased shares would be returned to the status of authorized but unissued shares of common stock. Certain covenants contained in STEC's revolving line of credit may restrict the Company from repurchasing all of the stock authorized under this stock repurchase plan. As of September 30, 2008, STEC had approximately 51.2 million shares of common stock outstanding.

Howdy longhorn2006
Yes we did survive that bad boy. My wife and I actually came up to Austin during the Hurricane and watch it all go down on the television. It was really something to watch, let's just say a tear or two came up watching it on the news. Really didn't know what to expect when we got back. We consider ourselves very lucking compared to the Galveston, Kemah, Port Bolivar and Crystal Beach folks
I know that's right... And here's another learning,STEC is green.....again! hehehe:)
Sounds like you're a real busy guy yourself! I've always believed that knowledge is the most important thing in an individuals life. But green doesn't hurt either!!!! Agreed? And to tell you the truth, i'm still accumulating knowledge. We never stop learning do we?
I see you're a busy guy yourself, if i have it right

Monk, on top of running my automotive business, when i get home starts the family life then i bring up my scottrade layouts and i have 1080 stocks, i research PR and profiles & etc on my favs from 10 pm to 3 am in the morning for the next day trading. I am exhausted believe me you. I think Stec is something to keep your eyes peeled with.
Probably not to late, give it a day or so, when it comes back down, you know how that happens, then get in then
Monk look at that green buddy:)
Don't forget about BP PLC refinery, high of $77ish just a few months ago and hovered around that, then down to $55 then right back up to $70ish and back down to $55 and this happened monthly for 3 years till up to date. They were very predictable to make some quick cash back then snd will definitely make a climb back up there, just give it time. Right now it's $47.08 and i think it has already bottomed out. In fact one of their refineries is right down the hwy from me.
looks like we might have another green day today, are you on the sidelines with this one?
Nice board you got here Peggy!:)
