Gorgeous and a lot of other kind words. It is a sweet looking chart no matter what indicators you're looking at. We could possibly flip the PSAR here today!
BAA - Tons of buying going on right now. Looking good here.
Sadly it's only on 100 shares...But at least it's up, and not down!
The BAA daily chart is looking incredible. I am so damn excited about the next ~4 weeks. So many PR's to look forward too...plus increasing gold prices. I really think if gold gets back up over $1200 again that we can see .25 prior to Q4 ER.
Yeah, that was a huge spike up. BAA is acting real nice here. Slow and steady right up to Q4 ER.
WRONG!!!
Let's see how close you come to NOT being right about the close either.
Nice...I should have been patient, and like you said, kept some of both IMRS and NETE. Got impatient and ended up moving my free funds all into IMRS. Oh well, that one will have its day too.
.197 close on 2.3M volume
Do you really feel it could drop that low? I guess I don't want to say it can't, but I don't think it will. A double bottom at 1130 wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Also, BAA can still be profitable at 1000, so a dip to 1000 wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for them either as long as it doesn't stay there for an extended period of time. Many miners would have to cease operations or operate at a loss with gold at 1000.
BAA - Short interest on 3/2 climbed to 3.12M (ref. Morningstar). It was approximately 400k short on 2/27 (ref. Nasdaq).
I know that isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it is substantially higher than it had been at any time in the previous 6 months or better. We should start seeing some covering with upward pressure and only a 2-3 week timeframe before Q4 ER.
Congrats to all of those who were able to load some cheapies!
Finally found somewhere updated with shares short. Considering we were at 390.41k in mid-Feb (reference Yahoo) and we are now at 3.12M as of 3/2/15, I'd say short interest grew a little.

It shouldn't really be surprising seeing that we struggled to clear resistance at .25. Also, we all know the company does not push a lot of PR's, so by the last PR I think it's safe to assume that we won't hear any further news until Q4 ER, and then in April the closing of the other $80M in forward gold sales. This gave shorts a 3-4 week window to work and cover.
Yeah, timing that add can be difficult...but if you're long, it shouldn't matter if you buy .15 or .12. Back in December I was able to add a very large chunk of shares at .125. I didn't want to hold out for a .115 double bottom, and I'm glad I didn't because it wouldn't have hit me.
I could have easily flipped those .125 shares on a number of occasions, but I truly believe that this should be a .40-.50 stock right now.
I think we are seeing a combination of things here. The two biggest factors I see right now are a very strong dollar, and falling gold prices (which the dollar is contributing to). The feds announcement of expected rate hikes isn't helping either.
I believe those factors are combined with some shorts and MM's driving the price down, and they are having much success due to the other contributing factors listed above. One area that I started to get concerned last week was when we couldn't break .25 with what I felt was really good news. Looking back, that is probably when traders started shorting, knowing they'd have at least a few weeks to try to drive it down before Q4 ER, and coupled with the fact that the charts needed to pull back some too. I never expected to see BAA sub-.20, but I didn't expect gold to nose-dive either.
I am confident that gold will rebound, but more confident that BAA will move northward after Q4 ER, and especially after the other $80M in forward gold sales is delivered. I am long BAA, so I'm not going to let these swings bother me.
And?
This action between .155 and .16 looks a lot to me like the action we saw between .145 and .15 the week prior to the $100M forward gold sale(s) PR.
LOL...was that you that just tried bringing it to .10 with that big dump of shares...ROFLMAO...Nice try...
Like BAA being bought out for $20 per share LOL
I'm prepared...to retire!!!
I agree with that to an extent, but I think your real knowledge comes from looking at who has been posting on the BAA board for a long time, versus those who just showed up. I've only been trading for about 14 months total (about the time I joined iHub). I've been in BAA for 12 months.
Luckily I've been able to average down big time over the past year. Most importantly though, I know where this stock was trading prior to the July '14 PR that basically said Namoya had big issues (~3x current share price). At that time, Banro still had debt issues, and gold was quite a bit higher ($1300+).
Now we are to a point that the liquidity issues have been addressed, they are mining much more gold, but yet, the pps is still grossly undervalued. This one is going to move, and at these prices is a steal.
I truly believe so. If anything, buy a third of your position back. Gold going down hasn't been helping, but just think...a week and a half ago we were stuck in a .145 to .15 channel. Now we are sitting a couple of pennies above that with the $100M financing news factored in.
Doesn't make sense that the news good enough to push it into the mid-.20's just all the sudden disappeared. While I'd rather see green, this drop is also good from a technical aspect leading up to earnings. I'm looking for a 50/200 cross on the daily right about the time ER is released.
Says you...remember, that's just your opinion. Play it how you choose, but I already have my bed made. The next ~30 days should be exciting for anyone accumulating at these levels.
Absolutely. This is a gift down here below .18. I thought .19 was possible, but didn't ever imagine it would drop lower than that. Prices in the teens are just a couple of weeks from being a thing forever in the past IMHO.
I believe so myself, but haven't seen any updated short data post PR about the 100M financing. Prior to that PR, there was very, very few shares short.
And all of those good buys, followed by a huge dump. LOL. Oh, what I'd give to have more dry powder right now.
BAA - Some very nice buys here the past 30 minutes or so.
$IMRS - I'd say to buy half at the 50dma (~.85 or .86). That has been pretty strong support. Dips to that .85 range have only been with minimal shares though. Last week I added at .87 after they dipped it, and it still took over half the day to fill my 2400 share all or nothing order.
If 50dma gives away with heavy volume, then the 200dma showed strong support after last weeks ER.
Thanks. Yeah, volume is incredibly low again too. I like where this one is headed.
IMRS - Finally got my order filled that I put in this morning after the dip. They just kept flirting with it all day, but wouldn't fill it.
BAA - I'm feeling better and better about this one. Strong open today and holding strong with gold getting killed. Many other miners gapped down this morning, BAA holding strong. Hope it keeps up. The sideways action doesn't bother me.
PS - Celebrating my first long term shares ever held today with BAA. Needless to say, those shares are in the red. But my .125's look really good!
Glad to have you on board. BAA has really been beaten down, but as others have stated, their low all in costs will save them even with gold down.
IMRS - Looks like they are going to play some games with IMRS here again today.
BAA - What a nice start to the day with gold down so much. Many other miners opened with a big gap down. BAA holding strong here.
Pretty sick man. I think you and Tex better buy some lottery tickets or go to the casino. Wow!
Yeah...Lots of tree shaking here. Time to sit back and see what the last 20 minutes of trading brings us.
Well, I wouldn't. But day/swing traders trying to ride yesterdays momo into today may have bought $1+ and went ahead and set a stop at .95-.97. To Matt's point, start to see some buys here. I think the last hour takes this back up...just too bad I have meetings, so I can't watch.
IMRS is down on pretty low volume though. Looks like they might be taking it down to pick up shares bought yesterday that might have tight stops set.
IMRS - The only bad thing about the dip is that I didn't have dry powder to add more. Looking awesome here. Congrats to those who got in or were able to add to their position.
Alright Tex...I want to see if you can hit it two days in a row...Your projection for today's close and the volume?
Kind of amazing how some longs get dialed in when you've hung around this stock so long.
KBIO looks nice!
IMRS - ka or $H, either of you in? If so, what do you expect of ER tomorrow?
NETE - Thoughts? Seems to be stuck after a little breakout last week.
