Did I forget to say gooooooood morning? eom
cmkxman
Put DHCC, IBIN and DPDW on your watchlist along with PINN, DXYN, DXO and MDZ too crabe.
cmkxman
LOL......thanks for the laugh crable! I can relate to that.
cmkxman
Thanks sidesh0wb0b. Btw, my best advice would be to exit all postions before leaving on a trip, but then that's not what he was asking for.
cmkxman
cuzloc,
I'd set as low a stop loss as you are comfortable with and then I'd see if I couldn't make occasional calls to your broker while on the road if possible to babysit your stock. lol It's really a personal preference but it depends on a lot of things like how the stock is trading, how the market is doing overall in relation to its value and its price place in its technical candle formation. I try not to ever leave my holdings unattended. Good luck to you whatever you choose.
cmkxman
Of course it is..................I sold off too soon again! lololol Shites!
It's all good though 'cause ZLC is running too for eod.
cmkxman
Cutting losses too soon can cost heavily when considering short term lost profits, however it can save your ASSetts in a huge way more importantly, in the long run. I consider the intraday chart too when looking at % losses for exiting a postion. It does help.
cmkxman
I'm back in ZLC for any eod rally that might present itself. Good luck to us all!
cmkxman
cuzloc..........honestly I bailed on NT and ZLC earlier both but at this point in the trading day I'd hold ZLC as long as it didn't go more than 5% below my point of entry to see if it won't bounce hard and have an eod rally. Also I'd hold NT to see if it isn't going to turn around here after the 6th day down red candle, unless it breaks 3-5% below a point of entry as well. Best of luck to you. Both NT and ZLC look close to being ready to bounce so I'm watching levelII and intraday charts for a 5 and 15 minute charting opportunity for reentry.
cmkxman
Profit taking during weakness is always a good call crable. And 11% profits are beating CD returns and certainly beating the market. Even if it turns positive again and you miss gains, you're ahead in your portfolio profits!
cmkxman
ZLC finally in play. Gapped up this am with a fresh SAR reversal signal. It didn't win the contest for me, but I think it will be a winner none-the-less. Btw, congrats to the winners. All three great pincher plays (even SIL, lol)!
cmkxman
And a good morning to you cuz! eom
cmkxman
Good to hear! Let's watch it run! LOL eom
cmkxman
We have a fresh SAR reversal today for ZLC! Looking good for an up-gap runaway.
cmkxman
Yes crable, it looks good for the open. And it looks like maybe we'll not see a nasty down-gap with NT either, lol.
cmkxman
Good morning to whomever is lurking this morning.......
cmkxman
napolm01.........my thoughts are that NT is due for a bounce whether on additional buyout rumors or honest news on the subject or state of being oversold technically speaking. I guess we shall see Monday.........
cmkxman
No cuzloc........when I shut the pc off to go to work at 2pm, NT was still holding at .25x.26. In fact my TDAtrade intraday chart shows a close of .256! I'm pissed. An aftermarket selloff by the market makers to paint the chart? After five red candle down days, it's ready for a bounce! And I've seen other stocks candlecharts driven down at a close like this after a few down days only to gap up at the open the following day. I don't know what to expect, but I'm holding at open to see if NT won't open at todays close and move up from there or better yet gap up for a nice rally from there whether based on good news or not.
cmkxman
A green close for ZLC and MOV! Fingers crossed for an upgap and run for NT on Monday. I'm off to work, will catch up later folks.......
cmkxman
MOV still holding it's 5% gains. A definite hold over the weekend!
cmkxman
ZLC intraday gap-up! Narrow pincher with turning PPO/ADX lines and excellent support............I'm definately thinking Monday likely to be the day we see the breakout!
cmkxman
Chart_this_trade,
I too do not consider QEDN to be a true pincher despite the fact that the ppo and adx lines were heading toward each other and I have seen real profitable trades come from that wide a "pinch" once the ppo/adx turn. And QEDN is a pink sheet stock trading on extremely low volume which is enough for me to consider it not worth the gamble regardless the "technical analysis".
Also, like you..........I like the ADX over 40 and at least begining to bend or curl downward before I want to jump in.
Merry Christmas Urban Casavant! Ya right!!!
cmkxman
Right crable..........MOV will be good for Monday and probably Tues/Wed before closing out for sake of profit taking. We have support in ZLC here near eod and HVT is worth holding through Monday in my opinion to give it a chance to continue its positive reversal. We shall see what NT does and whether the big boys are going to throw their gambling dollars at it on pre-buyout rumors.
cmkxman
Welcome to "Stockport" Chart_this_trade! Your comments, recommends and evals are welcome too.
cmkxman
Hey crable...........we missed ya! You're giving up some gains with HTV, but otherwise it's all good still with MOV and ZLC. And..........if it doesn't breakout at eod, I see HTV presenting another excellent opportunity for a good entry over the next couple days before further proving out the validity to the pincher play.
cmkxman
ZLC up 4.58% again after retesting the open. Support is good here I believe. Just wait'n for the upside breakout now! I'm thinking it might vert well happen Monday. That's my guess.
ckmxman
Thanks for that cuzloc! I like a tight stop loss and a realistic technical price goal before I take a position in any stock. I'm extremely uncomfortable taking a blind position with no price goal in mind.
cmkxman
cuzloc..........I'm looking for the pps to return to the 13dma initially. After that I'm hoping to see that semi-gap filled and a visit to the SAR line above or better. Fingers crossed we see the 50mda revisited or better after that. Chartinator's talking a $1 as a realistic target. Hope he's right!
cmkxman
From the "Wealth University" i-hub board, I've just taken a postion in the Chartinators portfolio alert in NT @ .2649. It's a strong buyout candidate and a fresh pincher setup.
cmkxman
So far into the morning the board holdings are holding up. With a nice little rally from the open ZLC is now holding above its open and doing alright. And MOV is still up a few percent for the day. Down is HTV, yet still holding up and could rally eod.
cmkxman
Good day cuzloc............
cmkxman
ZLC up 6.2%. eom
cmkxman
Good morning! eom
cmkxman
Tina...........I can't argue with you though I do perceive the narrowest distance between the ppo and adx to illustrate the truest definition of the pinch itself. There are profits to be made upon the initial pinch completion and of course through the entirety of the following rally. I myself prefer not to chase the pps into increased relative strength, but rather be in at the bottom to maximize profits and minimize trade transaction fees hopping from one forthcoming top to another.
Side trading or channel trading is tough for obtaining decent profits from so I'm avoiding the shallow movers myself when possible. It's still really all about understanding candle interpretation. I'm no expert, but I no the basics and then some and I'm looking for the strong indicators of weekly, daily and intra-day candlestick breakout patterns.
I intend to focus on pinchers and bottom plays almost soley while completely avoiding the pinks with all the scams and long term losers they comprise en masse, ie. CMKX.
While there may not be the large number of pinchers you were once seeing as the market began to fall apart, I do see enough of them to keep me very enthused. I'll do my best to offer up those tickers that I believe stand a good chance of being profitable. I'll be spending much of my time assisting crable in creating a home for bottomfishers and pincher players to join in and add to the volume of the boards official picks to help provide the support and float accumulation that drives the pps to breakout for a strong rally. I hope to see you at "Mos Eisley Stockport" often in the future as well as those that visit this board. I don't consider this board to be the competition but rather a meeting place of experienced traders who are familiar with finding the best pincher setups. I've visited the "House of Pinchers" for well over a year now and know what so many of you have to offer in the way of knowledge and experience. In fact, this board sparked my fire of enthusiasm for the "pincher" plays though I've always preferred to bottomfish. Best of luck to you Tina!
cmkxman
Later traders..........I got to go buy gifts for my loved ones. I expect the DOW to find its footing here for eod and I expect the board holdings to hold too. Tomorrow may present a lift off the 13dma for the DOW and gains for us as well. Have a pleasant evening folks.
cmkxman
Hey that helps! eom
cmkxman
I don't have any and I won't make any predictions. The manipulation is B.S.
cmkxman
DXYN is top of my watchlist there too. eom
cmkxman
ZLC pulled down with the DOW. eom
cmkxman
These are a few I'm watching at the moment and I've got money on ZLC which is down intraday from the open a couple percent. Take your pick of the litter and let us know what your thinking?
