Sorry, you are correct! Thought so as well, but missed it in second Reading! Too excited, Yes, physical assets included plus 15 non physical IP assets!
Sorry no equipment but 15 patents! Good enough! LWLG bought itself more operating freedom!
Second reaction: it is much better than I expected! This is substantial news!
First reaction: good thing. You buy IP and you buy equipment at fire sale prices and you eliminate former player from entering.
Next week Lebby is to present at the photonics forum in Enschede at the technical university! I understand there will be a mixture of academic and business participation! We might hear an update!
Agree with your remarks! If they could do the same integration for 100 Gig ( P2IC's) they would have cornered the market in data and most probably telcom as well!
Whilst we are waiting for the 50 G single mode polymer photonics packaged modulator to be send to customers, I am sure LWLG might be working at a 100 Gig modulator integrated on a photonics chip. This would allow 400 and 800 Gig using PAM4 on an integrated photonics chip! This would put LWLG in a class of itself, a unique position, to make inroads into the data and telecom markets with small , energy efficiënt and economic chips that carry data up to 2 km, can be fitted to any face plate and have bigger data throughput than any discrete ( energy consuming, bulky and expensive) competitive device on the market to date! If you study LWLG's roadmap and stated intentions in their public documentaire that seems a logical conclusion!
I expect the SP to quadruple by the end of 2018 to US 0,80 or Can.$ 1.20 - 1,30 based on significant top line and margin improvement. Current price reflects the lackluster financial performance of the last couple of years.
Happy birthday to the two of you! Hope summer 2018 will become a summer and a birthday to remember! Have a nice day!
Good point! Why not? By the way read that steel is 0,5% of total exports from EU to USA! Economically impact is minimal. Germany and Holland take bulk of that export! Thyssen with US niobium could be exempted indeed!
I guess they would love to use Lightwave's polymer photonics technology in stead of their all electrical legacy technology!
Trump has given two months until 1 June to EU, Mexico, Canada! No agreements were reached! I think he is serious now! I have sympathy for German policy not to let this escalate in a trade war ! Will negotiations open again? Maybe, but somebody needs to compromise! As my former American friends used to say: the big Gorilla sits where the big Gorilla wants to sit.
The Trump policy is to make the US less depending on steel and alu imports! Tariffs will not stop imports, it will make them more expensive for US customers ( think car industry)! Local alternatives could benefit depending on availability, price, specification and quality! Trumps actions protect US steel and Alu companies possibly in the long run! Germany has no raw materials, scandium and niobium! They will continue to import! They will still need at least two sources for niobium! Brazil CBBM as a supply source is part of volatile and uncertain business climate! Niocorp remains a reliable alternative! The Trump policy may turn out benficial for Niocorp, not only because of the decision 'strategic minerals' but also
because Niocorp may attain a higher US marketshare for niobium due to these protective measures! I think the German loan guarantee will not be affected! Germany needs niobium and there is no immediate alternative ! Just my two cents!!!
I understood that several new lab people choose to give up their well structured compensation packages at established ( chemical) companies for LWLG jobs and to move their families ! Now, maybe the average American investor considers this not done; to give up compensation, but I believe it is indeed very telling about the scientific challenges! I think true world class scientists want to explore new opportunities and rather work on something with huge societal impact, than to lose their time on something trivial or insignificant ! I like people who have the courage to make these choices! It seems their fate and potential big pay off are aligned with us shareholders. They would not bet the farm, if they did not believe it could not be done!
With gross margins up and turnover rising the ability to serve debt improves! I understand that the capital raise is largely to improve margins and output even further by investing and lowering production costs! Personally I believe margins should be much higher for specialty products than the current 19%! Anyway it is already a impressive turnaround!
As Walter indicated! Some world class scientist gave up their and their wifes well paid jobs, sold their homes and came to work for LWLG for less salary but with incentive share options! The convictions of these guys and girls to join LWLG at what could be considered a personal sacrifice was the strongest endorsement and proof that LWLG is about to create a whole new scientific paradigm in photonics! That made me buy more shares in LWLG last week! The first new shares since I started in 2009.
His presentation at the ASM can be used ad verbatim in Enschede! If you read this article by Photondelta ( Prof Bax) you smell his concern that Eindhoven is terrabits away from a solution in 2023. Silicon and Indium Phospide in combination and in parallel cannot get there! Other hybrids may be needed ! Difficult for the established scientific community to admit they are on collision course and that tiny LWLG has the solution! This is what Thomas Kuhn calls the need for a scientific paradigm shift! Careers, ego's and lots of money are on the line! Go LWLG ! Show them in Enschede and please show the market!
Important are increased gross margin and orderintake! That is no hiccup! Further improvement of gross margin and sales volumes will drive even higher profitability in next quarters!
I have been looking for correlations between ihub readings and the SP. Could only find one study from 1998. If I take some scientific ' freedom of interpretation' one could say how more readings, the higher the need for information, the higher the risk/ reward equation, the higher trading volumes resulting in higher SP! We are now the number 1 read ihub board! Maybe there are more recent studies?
Thx a lot, Proto! Enough detail to understand genuine interest ! Well, keep up the good work and do not loose 'Face' !
It is german translation of last weeks PR's! The announcement of critical minerals and the Rockwell announcement! See no differences, no need to translate back!
Sorry, he did not say price! That's my opinion.
Photonicsguy made a big impression with his technological assesment of the 50Gig! His detailed specification , problem anaysis and improvement solution sounded like that of a specialist! Seems his specification of what he saw in the lab was removed. Was he spot on, but too well informed for this board? He was quite positive that the current issues were well known ( parasytics), normal engineering challenges and could be resolved by an iterative process! For me it sounded like, give it some time and the 50 Gig is perfect on all parameters : low voltage, speed, seize, price!
Never been more confident. Accumulating. Proto, keep up your good work. You are doing an outstanding job. Thanks a lot.
Just thinking, Nordmin, Rockwell, the supplier of the processing plant are involved with around 680 million in scheduled capital expenditures according to the latest corporate presentation. If they all would bring along supplier financing facilities or extended payment facilities - Nordmin stated they would use Canadian export financing - this would take care of a large portion of the financing. Also the German Loan guarantee would possibly kick in.
I took 35% of NPV as fair value, which would be an acceptable metric for mining companies at this stage! Mine is as good as Morningstar! That was the message I wanted to give! By the way most shareholders are retail investors, no big institutions as yet ( except Lind).
Fair value at this derisked stage of development would be 35% of NPV ( Feasibility Study) or Billion US$ 2,3 divided by 220 million shares is $ 3.65.
Lockheed contract for IBC! Well done. 3 year! Almost 8 million dollars!
My gutfeel tells me this mine and process facilities will not be comparable to anything we have seen or experienced! Knowing MS this project will be state of the art and unique. Anxiously awaiting news from Nordmin, which I expect any day but before 15 June. Preliminairy results of their study should be known by now imo. Financing announcement (s?) could fall out of sky any moment , as Walter stated. My guess 2 dollars before end of summer! Moving up to 10-15 between 2019/2021 based on Marketcap 5 billion ( cash 500 million/ year) and 400 million shares! Market normally anticipates value!
Lmao!
Enjoy. Good wine needs ripening! I guess it is a good Spanish wine!?
The - holy- ghost finally dropped on earth. This share is terribly undervalued even at this stage of the game, just before financing will arrive A yearly free cash flow of close to 500 million should get us to around 5 Billion market capitalization in full production compared to US$ 110 million now. Enjoy this week end and White Sunday!
From the ASM. Lebby very confident that LWLG is in the right spot with offerings the customers are requiring, but cannot get from anybody else . Zelibor still reconfirms ' Fasten your seatbelts'. No formal commitment of revenue in 2018.

Nyc investor! You use China ' only'! Just for perspective the Asian/Oceania steelmarket is 1015 million metric tons which is 2/3 of the world steelmarket/production in 2018! May serve as indication for the importance of niobium.
MNGA, recognize the words 'he loves his shareholders' . Those words could come straight from Mark Smith's mouth. He knows most of us. I also remember Mark Smith telling me at Walters party: " The big guys are watching closely". That remark would align with your suspicion of ' being scooped up! ' .
Thanks, Johanna. Ik kan me nu voorstellen dat je een dubbel gevoel op deze dag hebt! Wish you and others good luck!
Suerte, those are your words. I would not use that word, if I were you. I think you are trying to achieve a profit from your investment, you maybe overly concerned that you might lose part of your investment and you are looking - like most of us - for a bit of 'fame 'on this board. For that last thing to happen, you need to come up with smarter remarks.
Johanna, I know for sure you had or still may have a mother. I wished you an enjoyable Mothersday, like others here (men) are wishing each other a nice Mothersday. Did not want to say anything controversial. If I did, I apologize.
Thanks Johanna, you bring cheerfulness, reason and some fun to this board. Of course we would all like to be rich, come monday! We need to be patient and give management time to pull this off. Enjoy mothersday!
