Oilphant is more than likely talking about tethering (tying up) a drillship. WAG
John
Thanks Tryoty..
Isn't that the one Nick caught on a cane poll out of Deep Fork river????
John
Tryoty, not to butt in but I have a question.
What you are saying about the shares sounds right to me BWDIK.
What I wanted to know (and this may have been asked and answered, as I've been out of touch) is with ERHC being an american company, why isn't the SEC all over our chairman for doing oil deals in the GOG for himself and others? This is ERHCs only biz and the only place we have rights.
TIA
John
Thanks AC, I thought we'd lined up a rig or something. Anyway I like it. May just leave again!! LOL.
John
Hey gang,
Whatz up? I left the state about a week ago (hiding from the ice and snow) and we were at .33. Can someone give me a quick update so I don't have to read all day? TIA.
John
Dadd, Thanks for posting BBs report!
This should keep the board busy for a while! lol
John
BB, I like this part.
the
participants claiming commercial sensitivity (nearby acreage still under negotiation, etc.)
as the reason for their discretion.
Kinda sums it all up, noone will know nothing until the big boys get all they can..
John
OT Never before has the greatest rivalry within the same conference been ranked 1 & 2.
Hummmm, I guess Ok & Nebraska being ranked 1 & 2 in the country and both in the Big 8, two diff. yrs., dont count? lol
But you're right, that should be one heck of a game today.
John
The Dane, did you miss Oilphants 2nd post # 79153?
John
LOL, Should have been; did your friend SAY which co had the rig.
Did your friend which company had the rig? tia.
John
Ck out the price of crude. Dont remember brent crude ever being higher than light sweet. Must be a typo.

John
Hope you are right, or I'll have been wrong one more time! LOL. # 46295
John
LOL mba, good one!
That had to be oilphants best post ever!!
John
As in??? Hamm radio?
TIA
John
OT; Did you win Orangedad?
Mom & I are going down next weekend on our 42nd and just wondering if you left us any money to win.
John
That'll work for me!! LOL
NY, don't think he might come back and say 16aea = 16 days after entering area, million+ day, told ya. lol
Just kidding Oilphant, I have no idea what 16aea is. Wish you'd tell us.
John
Thanks Red, tought I rembered hearing something to that effect but this dang CRS I have kicked in and it was gone!!
John
Does Equator have deep enough pockets to run 2D on their own or would that info be for sale to any oil co?
TIA
John
NO--------BWDIK? :)
John
Dane, if I drilled a well and hit very large pay zones but they were mostly gas (yellow) I would be looking in a lower part of those zones (downdip) for the oil. Now if that is south or east or both, that puts it in blk 4 or 2. I don't know which way is downslope but every one seems to think it's south. JMO
John
Exactly !!!
Dane, I took it to mean that most of yhe oil is in blk # 4
John
Well now, Don't hoard them all! Us po folks need a few also!!LOL!
John
LOLOL, sorry BB & board. The devil made me do it!! Just sitting in the office signing a sales agreement on five leases (might aford another share or two of EHRE now) reading all the "what ifs", "might happens", ect and just had to pull a Nick!!
John
Dosn't any change in operatorship/ownership hav to be approved by the JDA?
When are they meeting again?
John
Oilphant, Is this and the natural gas in blk 1 the very shallow, low BTU, hard to drill in kind or is deeper and with a high enough BTU to be processed?
Thanks
John
Dadd, JMO but it may be as close as we get to a clean slate.
John
Do you know how many ft of net pay each of these 3 fields have?
Would be a great way to estimate ours or blk 1.
TIA
John
Yes, I figured 400 ft avg. and looking at the map, about 45 sq mi. A lot of volume but we dont know how much is gas, oil or water. We also don't know how much is recoverable.
But it's good to dream about!! lol
John
OT-----ROTFLMAO! I reckon you are correct.
Tune, you can figure about 20-21% prosity and one cubic yrd will hold 1 bbl. Now if we knew how big & how thick the pay is, we could get close.
John
Yes, well not a map but he said it was 3 km sw of #1.
John
Thanks Oilphant,
Great news if fact and I have a gut feeling you know it's fact. Of course it could be gas! LOL.
Thanks again
John
Shucks Tune, They'll more than likely P&A it and call it a thro-a-way well!! lol.
John
What If these maps that show the prospects and estimates are wrong?
And what if CVX knows it by drilling OBO 1?
Didn't Pup or someone post a good while back that gas zones above the oil zones made the seismic look bad in that area? So maybe those pools are in fact one huge pool.
Naw, that would make it an elephant field.
Just a thought
John
How many of these deep water rigs are being built right now?
Looks like someone would have had the forsight to see this shortage of deep water drillships comming and started building a few.
Just a thought, but China may build there own or buy there own.
John
Pup, do you think this will fly?
Companies will have to put up a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the value of their total bid.
If several bid on each blk, that's a lot of extra $$$$.
John
