I would not jump to the conclusion that 'this is good for people who are holding this stock'. I am GLAD I didn't hold on to any shares through the weekend and I hope people read what I said Friday by it wasn't a smart idea. Look what happened if you did hold onto it? Your funds are stuck at the moment, literally in the mercy of this deal. Sure, it may pop positive from this but the other side of this is this nose dives an immense amount and theres nothing you can do about it. Smart trading is not trying to make massive gains, you take a major risk playing with stock in this scenario and just hope things end well so you can make a quick big profit. This is currently a blackjack table and hope you beat the dealer.

If you want to look at what happened with EK it dropped from around $3.50 to $0.80 in 1 day from just announcing 'Possibly filing for BK'. If any headline is close to that, the stock goes to nothing.

I am happy I dont hold MF at the moment, just from the funds being tied up is disabling you from using them in other stocks that you can be profiting from.

The whole market is down at the moment. Not a good day.

Everything will be taking a beating today. Not a good day for any stocks. If they manage to keep Friday's levels they'll be in great shape compared to all others.

The dip I was referring to already happened and I called it perfectly. I posted that when it was trading sideways at 1.94-1.95, after the sideways performance it dropped down to the mid 1.80's, I believe it dipped all the way to 1.85. Did you miss that? That was the dip I was referring to, that was a perfect time to buy in or load more if anyone missed the drop in the morning.

I have Scottrade and love them. They execute extremely well. If you are referring to holds on your money from the settlement period that won't change if you switch to a new platform. Open a margin account and you won't have to deal with settlement periods.

Heads up to everyone, READ: The carrier lowered its cash flow estimate, now forecasting it could be negative for the year. While in July Sprint said it expected positive free cash flow, it now sees a possibility of ending 2011 with between negative $200 million and positive $100 million in cash flow. Sprint negotiated a $150 million increase to its revolving credit facility to $2.24 billion, suggesting it may need more cash for its operations.
All three major credit-ratings firms have either cut or put the company on watch for a downgrade this month, saying the wireless carrier's plans to sell the iPhone and accelerate its network-upgrade project could hurt profits and key credit measures.

Dennis (in reply to your post), S does have good value at these levels but it's always better to get in cheaper than get in and then it drop another 1%, 2%, etc. I believe in the long run S will be good, but for now, I'm waiting it out until I see some support. If I owned shares I would have sold after I read a few articles in the morning and I could have bought back in at these levels if I wanted to and saved myself a lot of grief and money. Your playing it smart, we think alike.

LOL, wake up one morning and find one of your stocks down almost 40% overnight, that's a horror story! Just a quick touch on S: There's a block of 300K+ ask order at $2.43. When a big block is being sold at this much of a nose dive, that's not a good sign. Never fall in love with a stock.

I saw that headline. The revenue may be good but the Iphone is breaking Sprint. It's bringing in more revenue but now limiting other devices, hence the usage cap on some devices now. Meaning, if you do not have an unlimited data plan, you may be set to a certain amount of data per month. Once you exceed that amount you will be charged fees for exceeding your usage cap. They need to upgrade their network.

I have been playing CLWR (thank God). As far as S goes, Sprint put usage caps on some devices to manage network traffic. I believe that may possibly have something to do with their network not supporting the bandwidth of the Iphone. They limit other devices to create more support for the Iphone. The Iphone made and broke Sprint at the same time.

It's already almost there, $2.43 down 10% already.

Just a word of advice to everyone. I always say, never buy any stock within the first 30 minutes of the opening bell. That has saved me a tremendous amount of money. (I'm sure you can see why perfectly in this stock).

LOL, I havent bought S in awhile, I've been waiting until I see some more support and structure. It's been all over the place lately. Down almost 7.5% now.

It's currently down over 6%, I'm alost positive that article left out a lot of negative factors.

Ive been busy with others, what's the update on S? It's been on the decline the last few days, looks like another decline today.

Point of advice: If you know the stock is going to drop, sell your position (limit your loss) and then buy in at a lower price. Just some friendly advice to think about.

Nice sell! I sold at $1.79, if I had waited a minute I could've sold at $1.80-$1.81 it went up again after I sold. Can't complain though; I sold at a great price compared to the performance through the rest of the day. I would've bought back in at the low but wasn't watching it all day so I missed that opportunity.

LOL, I def. agree. I'll have some nice funds I'll be freeing up on Monday so I'm going to be watching it closely and make my decision if I should jump in or wait.

WOW! Siri is on fire! I havent been playing it these last few days; my funds have been in other stocks! Wish I kept a few K of them before I sold! Very nice play for all who have been in it these past couple days!

I said it would hit $3 by EOW! Damn I'm good :) GLTA! By the way I played CLWR yesterday and it opened almost 10% from close yesterday, I'm having a superb day!
