interesting look at the anatomy of a pincher chart.
I'm not ever going to claim I know everything and I am terrible about describing why I like or dislike a chart. Many of the plays I post are pincher or pincher related in some way. Here's a couple things I really look for that seems to work really well.
If you aren't up on pinchers and their charts I would recommend checking out the Pincher plays board
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=10585
great board with lots of information described in a way that I could never tell it.
This chart has the perfect set up I like to look for. Notice the decline in PPS from higher prices then all of a sudden you get a sharp drop then a nice curving bottom and it begins to rise again. Call it a fish hook, a Reverse J whatever you want but it usually plays out very well for short term plays. Notice how the indicators all start lining up as it rounds the bottom, it's just loading itself for that big push upwards more times than not.
IMO it is well worth our time to catch these early, put them on radar and watch to see if they are going to produce of just fizzle out. More times than not they will produce and one needs to be ready to move when they do as they will move fast.
For some reason I had never went back and looked at my scans like you mention. Only one thing to say about that........
WOW!!
SIRF chart
IAR chart
Another one that may be a bit early but is forming an incredible pinch. On radar for now looking for a bottom to form.
PNM chart
Another nice looking pinch, again watch for bottom as I believe I'm a bit early on this one
OMCL chart
Nice pinch on this one, watch for confirmation of bottom, it may not be in yet
UEIC chart
UNFI chart
worth putting on radar for a day or two IMO. No guarantee of a bounce here but it took one sharp drop and I love to watch these for quick turns when they start to come back.
DCP chart
I am biased on this one, got in Friday, I'm looking for it to break back into the low 20's in the short term.
TE chart
Looks like it may be at a bottom here. Has good support around the 15.20 area and closed at HOD on Friday. Friday's candle tells me it has a good shot at some gains tomorrow
BPFH chart
I love to watch set ups like this for a good bounce. Pinch is setting in, not real tight yet, may not be at bottom either but putting it on radar
JFR chart
Could get a little more out of this one, chart is looking great here.
EVVV chart
I'm not super hot on this one but I'm liking the chart set up so far. On radar
NXTM chart
Looks like it's trying to find it's bottom here.
nice looking charts, they should all do well
thanks, still doing some digging, hoping to find a few more
CRME chart
not looking too bad here, Friday was a day of indecision and a struggle between the bulls and the bears, looks like it could do well this week though
VVR, I was about a day early on it but it's had two decent days. I look for a little more out of it but nothing huge.
Link back for chart
Thanks, I'm liking it as well
As for my scan, I open it up on weekends as I have a bit more time to sift through them by hand. KEM is one of those that I wouldn't have found had I not opened up my scan to get more choices. Of course most of what you get isn't very good but you get the occassional gem.
Still have a few to go through if my computer will cooperate with me.
I hope you have a great week this week, actually I hope we all do. The goal is to have more capital next sunday than what we have today. Let's go get'em!!
PPR chart
Looks like bottom is definitely in, already in play and chart is looking sweet IMO
KEM chart
AEZ Chart
LVLT chart
I look for this to be close to a bottom here. May take a day or two to confirm it.
I'll be taking a look at that this weekend as I do use stockfetcher for my scans
It's been a pretty hectic week for me and I haven't been around much. I've got a lot of catching up to do this weekend for sure. I plan on running a few scans, a couple of which are scans I built for bullish moving average crossovers. It has done well for me in the past.
I did find some time to grab some DCP today, got in a bit early at 16.64. Wish I would've held off a while longer but just didn't have the time to watch it and wait. In looking at the chart, especially the pinch, I don't see any reason why this shouldn't run well in the near future.
Good luck with AAPL, I think you made a great choice there as I also believe it is way undervalued right now and should do well in the short term and long term.
I agree completely, I don't see any reason why longs shouldn't do very, very well on FRPT this year. Last I knew you had a nice chunk of it, best of luck to you with that. I also look to start acquiring some before long.
yep, not getting near the number of stocks I was getting about a month ago on my scans.
I still say take a long hard look at DCP, it has a nice pinch, is a well established strong co and trading near it's 52 wk low.
FRPT, not looking too bad, wish I would've grabbed some of those cheap shares. This will be one of the stocks of the year IMO. Way too undervalued at this point and analysts and talking heads can only beat it so much before investors start realizing they are going to continue to receive big contracts from DOD as well as foreign contries.
DCP looking great here IMO, I may have to add some today

that's a beautiful double bottom on GAS. If it can hold it's current price it should do well. Closing at low of day I almost look for it to go lower though
Hey, it's money in the bank, any money is better than no money and you are doing better than I am this week for sure.
I jumped out of PCTI at 6.94 for a whopping 2.4% profit, better than a loss I suppose, and rolled that into DGLY.
DGLY isn't trading great, has a huge spread at times, but IMO that is due to the lack of shares. It just doesn't have much liquidity to it but I think it will do great longer term.
I was tied up all of yesterday and didn't get much time to watch anything else. Keep knocking them profits down!
Interesting read from STIY in regards to the fight between them and TASR. I can't help but notice the babble about how the unit has been improved. Most companies when they rework a model they give it a new model number if improvements have been made. For example Taser International produced the M-26 then made improvements and named the new unit the X-26. If STIY knew their model had issues then fixed them why not give it a new model designation to show customers it had been improved upon?? The other thing I like, not mentioned in this press release, but in others by STIY is how the testing done by a university used animals. I'm not a scientist but know that the results on an animal in a cage at a university are going to be somewhat different than a human, especially a human under the influence of LSD, Heroin, or Cocaine who is determined to fight.
Also if STIY was just completing the new unit at the time of the study, why provide them with the old unit for testing?? This just doesn't add up IMO and has a foul odor to it.

Stinger Systems Responds to Purported NIJ Study
Thursday February 21, 10:30 am ET
Year old study was based on S-200 version no longer sold
Earlier comparison studies would be irrelevant, not valid and extremely misleading
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stinger Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: STIY - News), a leader in electro-stun technology announced today that a segments of a National Institute of Justice Electronic Immobilization Device (EID) study released by Taser International (Nasdaq: TASR - News) is based on a study commissioned by the National Institute of Justice in 2005. At the time of the request for units for the study, the Company was just completing development of its flagship S-200 EID. The version of the S-200 EID that was tested has been discontinued. Documentation from the Company affirming that the S-200 tested is no longer being manufactured had already been sent to the NIJ, but these comments were omitted from the selected information in yesterday's release by Taser International. According to Stinger's Device Master Record of versioning control, the gun tested was based on an earlier release version and Stinger's current model S-200 version is several releases later. The current S-200 has had significant improvements including greater take-down power, new electronics design, and new cartridge and dart configurations.
Earlier comparison studies to discontinued devices are irrelevant, not valid and extremely misleading. The Company believes that recent sales wins including the Washington Department of Corrections and the State of New Mexico General Services contract, along with several new domestic and international sales, validate the superior new S-200 technology over its older version. The Company is confused why this release is relevant news considering the EID tested is not even being sold by Stinger Systems.
A new study led by Wayne McDaniel, Ph.D. of the University of Missouri recently showed that the S-200 technology is much different from the Taser brand products. Their study showed that peak amperage (current) delivered by the Taser M-26 is 7.5 times the peak current delivered by the S-200, while the peak current delivered by the X-26 is 75% higher than the peak current delivered by the S-200. Taser International's sales literature states that it is amperage (current) that matters for electrical safety.
The Company has enhanced many features of the S-200 since its initial introduction. Essentially the only aspect that is similar between the current S-200 and the previous versions is the name. Almost all of the external features of the S-200 such as the basic look of the gun and its great form functions such as a cartridge eject system, recessed cartridge and off the shelf batteries remain. Under the covers, it is a whole new story. Enhancements include new electronics improvements, superior cartridge and dart designs, and new fabrication processes for superior durability.
Some of the great improvements can be seen in an outline at www.stingersystems.com. Go to the S-200 products page and click on the "ALWAYS IMPROVING TO CREATE THE BEST EID" link. Further, Stinger Systems recently held a press conference in New York City attended by many police departments as well as press from CNBC, Fox, CBS, and the Associated Press. Several officers along with the Associated Press reporter took direct hits from the S- 200. All individuals taking direct hits confirmed its incapacitation ability. The Associated Press reporter's and some officer hits can be seen at http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=45524&comments=1 .
Additionally, the Company has engaged HP White Laboratories to perform an accurate and current comparison between the Taser brand EIDs and the Stinger S-200. The Company is very confident that the Stinger S-200 will have features that are superior to its competitor, and that is why this commission was engaged to one of the leading ballistic laboratories in the country.
Stinger Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: STIY - News) a leader in electro-stun technologies announced today that as required pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 45(b)(1), Taser International (Nasdaq: TASR - News) has noticed Stinger Systems, Inc. in Taser International, Inc. v. Stinger Systems, Inc. (Federal Case CV07-0042-PHX-MHM) of Taser's intent to serve a subpoena duce tecum on the National Institutes of Justice for information on its dated tests comparing Taser's model X-26 projectile stun gun to early versions of Stinger's model S-200 projectile stun gun.
very good sign IMO
just have to figure how much of those revenues are already figured into the PPS. If they were expected it should still run a bit but if they blew the expectations out of the water I'm thinking the 52 wk high is just a memory after today.
Wow, I had forgot all about them. Numbers are very impressive indeed. I smell Kaboomage
I would grab some in premarket if I didn't have all of my funds tied up right now.
Note yesterday's candle on the chart, gotta love it.
COIN did have a nice little pop yesterday, up in pre market so far today as well.
TASR up over 3% in premarket, printing 12.48
NGS chart
On watch today, should post earnings before market open
Could do very well IMO if earnings are good
