Thank you for clarifying that. The way it was presented was misleading, for what reason, I don't know.
We are looking at days.
The pain of the last year will all be forgotten as long as we come out blasting.
What exactly does this say to you? We hear Padgett #11 is big and Padgett #12 is in process. Does this imply that they are/could be substantial?
What does this mean to the area? To additional drilling?
Thanks.
Very few shares available at this price. Any volume will move this up rapidly.
The SEC should be spending less time with the likes of AMEP and more time with the criminals that bash/slander companies for profit on these board.
To the bashers, we are days, moments, seconds away from our first operational PR, since the SEC review started in May of last year.
Your SEC stuff is getting old and obsolete. With the SEC giving AMEP a clean bill of health with the release of the DEF 14A and their approval to change reporting structures, you are going to have to find a new patch to play in.
With so few shares for sale, once the PRs start, watch out.
Lets review the facts:
* In May of 2005, AMEP entered into the SEC review to change from a BDC corporation to an operationally reporting company. All formal communications (PRs} from the company stopped in support of working through the SEC investigation.
* On December 5th, the preliminary DEF 14A was released by the SEC announcing a proposed Shareholders meeting. This was later pulled and reissued formally in February 2006. The first key milestone was that the SEC review was finally coming to an end.
* On Tuesday, March 13th, AMEP held a Shareholders meeting to vote on several issues, including removing the BDC. The second key milestone was holding Shareholders Meeting.
* On Friday, March 16th, AMEP released a PR announcing the result of the Shareholders Meeting, including the favorable vote to remote the BDC. The third key milestone was the PR announcing that all measures passed, including eliminating the BDC.
What we have accomplished here is to end the SEC investigation, end the BDC reporting structure, set the stage for AMEP to commence operational reporting, and finally, to commence PRs on the companies activities. The SEC gave the company a clean bill of health, including scrutinizing all financial reporting from May 2005 through the final approval this last week.
What is wrong with that?
I hope we pop our first announcement early next week, so the critics will be silenced.
This is the point of my argument over the past few days. First let us value what we have fairly through representation, disclosure and announcements. We have somethings to announce, maybe not everything on the list.
We are way undervalued just on what we own. Discussions of new capital or reverse splits, as a personal note, are a little premature.
You are right on. I would specifically like to hear the production numbers for Padgett #11, the formation which was announced in Sept 2005, and see an announcement for drilling the new horizontal, Padgett #12.
This would prove up that AMEP can deliver with its own resources.
Thank you for your informative post of the meeting.
I 2nd that!!!
What is frustrating is CB has built an incredible company and we are nowhere near the value of what the company is worth?
Show me one marketing piece of paper that represents any type of reserve valuation on the 7000 acres which AMEP has 100 NWI. What are the O & G reserves for all the properties we own? Hell the web site still shows the latest PR being in August. They make it very hard to follow this company unless you dig deeply on your own. And if it where not for he DD of GEH, I wouldn't be here.
To lift this company up to where it belongs, you must leverage your communications or the communications will bury you.
OK, I will give him a bye for the last year. Prove me wrong next week and the weeks after. Not spending $2500 on a PR is no excuse.
Pro, I wish I could have expressed it as well as you did. Bulleye@!!!
CB has the O & G and entrepreneurial expertise, which is invaluable. He brought in the financial expertise, around March of last year, followed by the legal expertise in May, to get him through the SEC investigation.
Now let see if he has the marketing/communications expertise which has been so sorely lacking since I have been here 18 months.
All we are asking for is the absolute basics, not hype, just communicate the value of what AMEP has.
He could move the value of this company by $.10-$.20 just by a few words. That in itself moves the market value of AMEP by $50-$100 millions. That is where we should be and not languishing in single digits.
Granted we had the excuse of the SEC investigation, which we have been hiding behind since May of last year. No more excuses. What have we been doing the last year?
The current shareholders have been carrying this company. We need new investors to move the company forward.
I wonder if AMEP realizes that if it were not for the efforts of shareholders and certain board members, they would still be a BDC.
Once they receive clearance, it is time that they step up to the plate and start to communicate the value of this company.
On another note, would AMEP not have extended the meeting if it did not have the vote in hand by now?
Thanks GEH for your informative response. Your views are sincerely appreciated and highly respected.
The point about NG is like icing on the cake. A big part of AMEP's revenues are natural gas (NG) and if truth be known, NG could be a much bigger problem moving ahead.
In the short term, increasing demand for NG is going directly in the face of diminishing supplies from both domestic production and from some imports, such as Canada. Canada's may have to cut back its NG supplies to the US just to support its increasing NG requirements for the oil sands.
In the longer term, we have problems looming with importing NG due to cost escalation and litigation in building liquefied natural gas terminals. Just recently 2 majors canceled projects.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks again.
Here is another question for anyone, not related to the meeting. Given that AMEP steps up and starts to execute and communicate, is this domestic O & G, Jr., a good hedge against any escalation in the middle east and/or a significant rise in O & G prices? I think it is, but I would like others opinions.
Some say gold and oil. More specifically with oil, is AMEP, or a company like AMEP, the best place to be?
This is NOT a political question, nor is it my desire for it to happen, but rather, if it does, how does my AMEP investment respond?
Sorry for the postings or lack there of. Must be Monday morning.
If anyone is attending the meeting, would they be so kind as to post the voting results?
What is obvious, if this vote were left alone to the company, it would have never happen? If not for the boards and those people actively working the boards, the vote would not have happen at this late hour.
The company needs to start communicating. This is why they should have PRed the shareholders meeting.
At the meeting, when they ask if there is any other business to come before the meeting would someone ask this question, is AMEP ready/going to roll out a series of announcements of what has been accomplished the last 12-15 months?
Thanks.
Here are some follow on questions to anyone attending the meeting>
Here are some follow on questions to anyone attending the meeting>
You can add another 2.7 million shares voted for which includes my family members. I voted electronically days ago, but I did receive my proxies via mail yesterday and today.
Doesn't it appear that elephants are lining up at the doorway? The vote, a PR, another PR, watch out for the stampede. The last few days, even the smallest volume, pushes the bar.
The only problem is the doorway seems to be getting smaller and smaller. This has been created over the last year, as a result of those that endured the pain of silence, yet understood the real value that existed. They will be rewarded for their patience and steady accumulation of this stock.
Do you realize that in the first hour, only $6,000 in AMEP value has traded today? Wait until we start trading in the 100(s) of thousands or millions of dollars a day.
This ball could not be positioned on the tee any better than it is!!!!!!
Thanks for your efforts. Given what we know, what is the percentage approval required for the vote to pass? Is the number small enough, considering management's vote, to get this done with people from this board?
You are right on. Boy did I miss one, from $.08 to $.60s, in 2 months, but I put a lot of eggs in these AMEP baskets and I was tapped out. I know AMEP is a better story with much greater potential.
HMGP feeds the market with consistent information. Today they announce preliminary reserves of over 7 million barrels. What are AMEP's reserves?
Volume is driving this stock. Today over 500k shares trades at around $.63, over $300k in value. Put that kind of money in AMEP. Today AMEP has traded less than $8k.
I am patient, but I should hope AMEP COMMUNICATES its value.
This stock should have strong upward movement, if they start to communicate, once the vote is in. The reality is this, AMEP has not announced any new production or reworked wells since I have been on board in October 2005. This has been largely a result of the SEC review started in May of 2006. Talk about getting a running start.
Some people have listed the backlog of activities, which I will not repost. They should be significant.
Someone on this board posted an O & G stock, HMGP, which I picked up visibility recently at $.08, but I did not buy. Talk about a solid and steady movement upwards, in very strong hands. They are just reworking wells and communicating and the market likes the story.
I mention this because AMEP has a much better story, but for it to reach its price potential, it must COMMUNICATE. AMEP has the story line of 7000 rich acres of 100% NWI O & G, 2 drilling rigs, near profitability and positive cash flow, successful drilling expertise and the potential of a couple of gushers.
Again, AMEP must lay out this story and COMMUNICATE. We shall see!
Yes, I understand. Matt can have his board. I would think they make money from the number of users, hits etc... Once they kill the goose, well you know what I mean.
Why are they not just removed? We had a good thing going, except for them. Why do we let these two snakes control our forum. ... and don't give me this free speech crap.
The board manager should realize that they will kill business, if they don't step in. Look at RB. InvestorVillage has picked up at least two boards I know.
I agree with not pumping the stock.
AMEP has an arsenal of announcements, including possibly some strong producers. Let them flow once the final approval is determined and the "all systems are a go" word is received. Lets keep it professional, but communicate when appropriate.
In my opinion, a final release from the SEC, which has held us hostage since May of 2005, is a significant event. Lets not back down this thing again.
This is just another stepping stone. The SEC release coupled by the announcement of the Shareholders Meeting is only the first major step. The second will be the Shareholders Meeting and the approval of the appropriate issues. The third and final step will be the formal execution of the operational standards, coupled by the release of announcements and numbers.
With each step the risk is reduced and the upside is increased by an order of a magnitude, in my opinion. The biggest risk has just been removed when the SEC approval was finally received to go ahead with the agreed upon terms. In my opinion, we have eliminated the downside exposure almost totally.
Yet, I agree with you again and let me state my reasons why. First, for those that have been here for a while, we have been in the death grip of silence since the 2nd quarter of 2006 because of the SEC investigation. What was worse is we did not have a clear picture as to what was happening because the company essentially said nothing. Then it turned in the 1st week of December. I knew that was the key, because until that notification, we had no clue as to the timing or if it would ever happen.
I told everyone to get in at that point. Let's face it $.0267 looked pretty tempting. From that point, in around 2 weeks, we went up to $.07. Nice ROI.
Lets face it, we were still in the death grip of the SEC. They pulled the filing in late December, even PRing the event. The SEC was still in control of our destiny.
Now things have changed. THIS IS A MATERIAL EVENT, MAYBE NOT LEGALLY, BUT IN MARKETING/IMAGE WISE. With the filing last week and the notification of the Shareholders Meeting, control has shifted from the SEC to the Shareholders. It is in our hands to vote to dissolve he BDC. With an affirmative vote, we tell the SEC the results and move on.
We have paid for good legal and financial expertise to support the company since the 2nd quarter of last year, that is good. We have great assets and great O & G expertise. Now it is time to quit "nickel and diming" the marketing and communications expertise that has been and is evident. Come on be real, a couple of grand is nonsense in PR expenses. That a few hours with the lawyers. The return on your investment is massive compared to what you get with lawyers.
What has the market seen the last 12 months? Nothing. The rain marker PR in May, which I happened to like, the one well discovery in September, with no results even to this day, and the canceled SEC filing. Now it is time to publicly tell the world, what has silenced AMEP the last 9 month is over and we have been given a clean bill of health. It is now in our control, the Shareholders, to declare our future and we will start to disclose what we have been doing the last 12 months.
Since early December, a significant part of the buying has been the longs and their associates. Hell, last week, I added 1 million shares in two days on Tuesday and Wednesday. One day I was over 50% of the volume. We have been supporting the share price and now it is time for the company to do its job and communicate to the public what a great company AMEP is and is becoming. Let us not forget all those people that got scorched by the MM and bashers, from May to December, in the downdraft of silence. May they rest in peace, but let's not forget their loss.
Lets face it, there were a lot of concerned people, December 4th, the day before the first SEC disclosure. Sitting at $.0267, and going south, did not let me sleep any better. It is great that we sit here in this rocket ship going to the moon, but lets not get too overwhelmed just yet, because AMEP needs to COMMUNICATE its successes, starting with this key step; to bring other major participants to the table. We cannot do it alone.
When I see mickey mouse companies, as compare to AMEP, do 10X the trading dollar volume to AMEP, because they articulately communicate, that is wrong.
CB is a brilliant man in what he has done, has accumulated and is building. All we are asking for is the company to communicate its successes and benefits to the market place as normal companies would do.
I agree with you 2000%. I am only hoping that the delay is until Monday, so that the company can get a fully week of exposure.
We had a public statement of not having a meeting, now it is time to publicly state that the we are having a meeting.
Saddle up, cause we are going for a ride.
I just took a look at MarketCenter's newswire for AMEP. They had 5-6 sites which listed AMEP as a stock to watch, based on various criteria, since 1/31/07.
Site like StockProfiler, GrowthStockAlert, SmallCapStockAnalyst, Stockwire.com and RealPennies, as examples. Starting to get some exposure.
Now all we need is follow through with the Shareholders Meeting and we are out of the gate.
There is very little selling. Positive news and watch for the explosion. Any buying pressure and we are off.
The milestones are the Shareholders meeting announcement, anticipated any moment, followed by the Shareholders approval and then the flood of announcements, including the blockbuster wells.
The buying since early December has been alot of longs loading up. Just wait til the main stream market picks up on AMEP with alot of tight hands.
If you watch companies like UPDA, there is lots of money chasing average stuff. If UPDA can get millions of dollars a day invested, what will a great company fetch, once the story is told. What UPDA does well is tell the story, but they are no where near the class, capacity, or potential of AMEP.
AMEP just needs to "TELL THE STORY" once the dust settles.
Regards.
How does Level II look?
Thanks.
AMEP, AMEP and more AMEP!
I believe the key point to come away with here is not the 9/10 bagger, but that this is a point of substantial growth. Maybe it's 4/5 bagger, whatever, fill in the blanks. All the formation points are aligning towards all thumbs up.
Another key point for AMEP, that is going to be different in my opinion, is that from May 2006 until now, the stock as been steadily accumulated in the hands of more long term investors. This was as a result of the downdraft from May until December, that was caused by uncertainty and lack of news. It wasn't until the first week in December that we knew where the starting point was. The stock immediately went from $.267 to $.07 in 2 weeks.
Good, honest O & G companies are hard to come by, especially the likes of an AMEP, who is drilling big time wells, is near profitability, with no debt.
Look at TERX today, new symbol. Recapitalizing 1/20 split, land up for sale, trying to raise money to survive.
AMEP's coming out party is now in a big way.
You are 100% right on. These people are smart and they know the long term value in AMEP. This is a multi $$ stock. Where do you find a more sure thing, than AMEP, at this specific point in time?
The only calculation you have to make is what number bagger (i.e., multiple) is this?
Here is the good with the bad, with the bad being having to live through the down trend of 2005, as a result of the SEC review.
The good is that the company has been steadily accumulated, especially since early December, with the SEC disclosure. This delay will benefit current holders of the stock because once the story becomes more visible, which it will within weeks, watch out. How many elephant can you fit through the door at once.
Good oil and gas people can see the difference in AMEP over the others. May not have been pretty to get here, but you cannot overlook what CB has accumulated and built to date. Just look at the list of events to announce.
The country has benefited from two unusually consecutive weather seasons, no hurricanes and no winter, at least to date. This will not last forever. Just as 2005 was unusual, so is this, to the other extreme. Demand is rising worldwide, especially in China, and the issues with NG long term still remain.
AMEP, a domestic Oil/NG supplier, with rich resources, properties, talents and the potential to be a true Jr. Oil & Gas company, is the place to be.
Does anyone know whether AMEP has started drilling #12? If not, does anyone know when they would typically start drilling after a permit is approved?
Is this a bang, bang deal? Permit received, drilling starts.
Thanks
