Would be nice as far as the short term PPS is concerned, but not a necessity.
As DC’s article pointed out at the bottom, MANY of these projects that were announced this past Monday will require new natural gas imports from the US.
Obviously, that’s the next announcement!!!
You bet guys. We're going to make it big. Cheers!
Yes, but our projects may be announced as a stand-alone before then because of their size, significance, and nature (being zero cost to Mexico yet sharing profits 50/50).
Also, PR could be released at any time updating on us on the financing with BBI.
If SENER “expects” that the Gasducto Transistmico in the Isthmus to start construction in July 2021 and therefore be in service by March 2022 AND senator Senator Marybel Villegas Canché of Quintana Roo (from Zacattack’s article) expects to have gas in the Yucatán in 15 to 18 months; then the Brasil storage facility in the San Fernando- Cactus Pipeline must begin construction extremely soon. if we started on the Brasil storage facility this month, it would be ready to meet these time frames.
Zacattack, this 100% is our projects providing a 40% cost reduction to the Yucatán hotels.
The Yucatán suffers blackouts because of lack of gas. The existing Mayakan line stretching throughout is EMPTY.
The Mayakan is empty because the Tuxpan pipeline coming from Texas doesn’t have the capacity to fill it! The San Fernando will alleviate the Tuxpan Pipeline bottleneck (probably by an interconnect to the Valley Crossing Pipeline that feeds the Tuxpan) and finally fill the Mayakan Pipeline.
These hotels in the poverty stricken Yuacatan peninsula will now have a consistent and abundant supply of the cheapest natural gas in the world.
Article is straight gold, DC! Our projects are THICK between the lines. Article excerpts below and my comments in bold.
"The Finance Ministry included in the list six combined-cycle plants. The Baja California Sur, Tuxpan, González Ortega, Mérida... " Our San Fernando line runs right through Tuxpan.. one of our compression stations will be there. Mérida is in the Yucatan which is currently void of Natural Gas. Our San Fernando will feed the existing Mayakan line in order to provide gas to the Mérida plant as well.
"The plan also includes a natural gas pipeline crossing the Mexican isthmus to be developed by CFE and Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec (CIIT) worth 9 billion pesos ($450 million) with construction slated to start next July..."
Begs the question, WHO IS THE PRIVATE PLAYER? We know for certain Mirage is working closely with C||T as we've seen them in pictures together. We also know that this line will require gas from our Brasil Storage field and San Fernando-Cactus Line. Ironically, this project would be ready for gas by March 2022, right about the same time our Brasil Field and San-Fernando will be beginning operation if construction starts this month
"The natural gas processing station Tecolutla Lerdo was also included in the package."
Our San-Fernando Cactus Line runs right through Tecolutla!!
"The ECA project would source U.S. gas, and it is expected to have an advantage over the U.S. Gulf Coast LNG facilities because vessels do not have to traverse the Panama Canal."
Same goal behind our oil lines in the isthmus AND the LNG facility in Salina Cruz that likely will be built by Mirage.. bare minimum it will be provided gas through our projects. more on this below
"During the official launch of the program, Finance Minister Arturo Herrera and the head of business chamber Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), Carlos Salazar, singled out the importance of the ECA project because of the size of the investment."
PROOF THAT OUR PROJECTS VERY WELL MAY BE SINGLED OUT!!!!
" “The energy sector, which we’ve talked so much about, now has substantial projects planned,” Salazar said. ECA is “enormous,” and a third packet of projects is being finalized. "
Even more enormous projects, Salazar? Our $12-$13 Billion swallows the $2 Billion ECA project. If we are not announced as a stand alone package beforehand as we are speculating, this next announcement will be in early February according to sources
"The Salina Cruz natural gas liquefaction project would require 25 billion pesos ($1.2 billion) in investment and be spearheaded by CFE and La Administración Portuaria Integral (API)."
Again, WHO IS THE PRIVATE PLAYER? It may not be us, but this facility at a bare minimum will require gas coming from our Jaltipan-Salina Cruz pipeline from the San Fernando- Cactus from the Brasil Field.
"Mexico imports most of its gas from the United States, which means most of the projects listed would require imports for their needs."
Cha Ching $$$$$MRGE
Wow...!!! Great point Stink! So each project in the National Infrastructure Plan has funding of at least 50% covered by private investment. Our projects are 100% covered privately and yet we still split the profits 50/50 with Mexico. Unique indeed!
Stink, yes this is correct. Btw- I don’t have premium.
Need, Goldtooth, anything?
I’d have to wait until tomorrow for articles to translate.
I did see on Twitter that AMLO spoke further on his plan to rescue Pemex and CFE. Obviously this is something Mirage has positioned itself for, so it’s a positive, but it’s not anything new.
Personally, not getting my hopes up for this specifically. Any Spanish speakers ought to tune in for the team and report back if there is anything relevant for us.
Cheers!
For all interested: AMLO’s Second Government Report

Wow, Macod! This really is fantastic.. key takeaways that I see:
• Jaltipan- Salina Cruz is our pipeline
• Prosperity is our pipeline
• The small natural gas storage facility in Veracruz shows to be fed by the San Fernando- Cactus Pipeline.. which also is ours!
A note on timing:
“The ministry [SENER] expects the project (Jaltipan- Salina Cruz Pipeline) to enter operations in 2022”. Remember, this project of ours is the furthest behind in development because it’s contingent upon having access to natural gas from our other projects. Since SENER expects for this pipeline to be operational in 2022, then construction on the Brasil field and San Fernando must be starting very soon. As of 8/27, the Brasil field, Isthmus, and San Fernando- Cactus were all either shovel ready or very close to it. If we broke ground on the Brasil Storage facility today, it would be operational in 18 months landing us in May 2022.
Ka boom
No morning conference today since AMLO is giving his 2nd government report this evening at 5pm CST.
Sakartvelo, I was surprised this morning that we weren’t in the infrastructure plan. AMLO did actually give us the heads up that it was going down on Friday, but I missed it in the headlines until late Sunday. What threw me off was the glimpse many reporters gave of the plan beforehand, that it would be announcing projects that would amount to roughly $10B USD.. and that Sempra’s ECA project ($2B) would be part of that. This left just $8B of other projects. Our three projects alone (really a 3-part development) are worth $9.4B in initial investment.. the off-take pipelines are all ADDITIONAL $$$$. With the off take agreements we’ve heard of at this point (somewhere between 1-2bcf per day), AND a likely partnership with the government for the Salina Cruz LNG facility, our projects are likely somewhere in the ball park of $13B. And that’s not the ceiling either, our 48” San Fernando line can supply at least 3.5 bcf per day, so the infrastructure to deliver the available capacity would add to the $13B investment.
Today, they announced 29 projects. 9 of which were in energy and the rest were in road construction or transportation. Our 3 projects alone surpass these 29 in value. Jaw dropping sized mega projects.
I write this because although I was taken back this morning.. upon further reflection, our projects are of such magnitude they are worthy of their own announcement. And if size weren’t enough, the nature of them being public-private partnerships make them a kind of crown jewel to the 4T administration.
Lastly, the unprecedented massive buy orders over the past several trading days speak to the fact that some heavy hitters have seen things we haven’t had the luxury to. Oh well, the money talks!
29 projects announced today.. just over $10B in value. There was a pipeline being built by the CFE & C||T, so probably in the isthmus, but not our massive Transoceanic Gas Line. While Mirage’s projects were not listed in the 29, perhaps it’s because they need to be detailed in their announcement. Truly set apart to highlight their significance. We’ll see!
Interesting the C||T being involved. I’d like to know more about this line. Mirage is clearly working very closely with the C||T for the Isthmus project!
Good to see pipeline work moving along in the Transoceanic Corridor!
Remember US Ambassador, Christopher Landau’s, first trip to the Isthmus the weekend leading up to the US election? We had a suspicion his trip was with regards to Mirage’s Isthmus project.
Horacio Zarate tweeted Sunday night that Christopher is “crucial” for the T-Mec (USMCA) and the reactivation of the tri-national economy.
Is ”crucial” the United States’ blessing on the Isthmus project? 5,000 jobs and an annual income stream of $1,400,000,000 USD straight to the Mexican government! US oil and natural gas creating for Mexico a more dominant trade route to the Panama Canal. Crucial!
Mexico es sin duda, uno de los Países más hermosos del Mundo, tu labor como Puente de comunicación e interlocución en el nuevo Gobierno
— HORACIO ZARATE (@jhoraciozaratea) November 30, 2020
De los EU y MX, será crucial para el T-MÉC y reactivar economía Tri-naciónal ..!! Recibe un saludo afectuoso. .
Macod is the MRGE board MVP. I’m in big time on this stock, (with thanks to many) but an especial thanks to Macod for his DD. Cheers to his birthday!
Rubenstein was hired for a reason. We KNOW that! When MX gives the green light, Mirage will be in the headlines in all
of her splendor!
Very boring daily event! Haha
I wouldn’t waste your time, until it is the actual Announcement Day. Which will take place during a morning conference @ 7am CST.
We will see the list of announced projects that are construction ready on screen. It will be in the same format as the 10/05 announcement. We also will probably get an updated government document shortly after like this one:
https://www.energiaadebate.com/file/2131/index.pdf
Just get the minutes, if the National
infrastructure Plan is discussed it will show up in here and then articles will follow shortly after providing context:

I personally do not think so. They likely want to schedule a date 1 week in advance. I will scope out the morning conference tomorrow and see if AMLO has a day picked out yet.
Cheers!
Present Stink! Congrats to everyone. And yes, really looking forward to the Mexico announcement. My guess is latter half of next week or the week following, the week of the 7th. Just my guess.
Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers to The Gunslinger!
For the previous package of Infrastructure projects presented on October 5th, Carlos Salazar had given us a heads up 6 days in advance on 9/29.
So IMO, let’s all keep ears open for our 1 week notice
https://www.forbes.com.mx/economia-plan-para-reactivar-economia-se-presentara-el-proximo-lunes-cce/
Reasons for my certainty, based on statements from government officials in articles posted on this board starting on Thursday, 11/12:
1. “More energy projects” will be presented.
2. This time ONLY projects that are construction ready will be presented.
CelNav, let’s see if Romo or AMLO this week provide us the scheduled date. That’s how we’ll know it’s game on.
I love how certain Carlos Salazar sounds:
Quote:
"We are preparing the second stage of this investment project, we hope perhaps next week to be announced this second package, we have already identified it, we have already discussed it, it has already been presented to the authorities.”
YES!!!!!!! Thanks CelNav!!!! Happy Thanksgiving, go Mirage!!!!
Goldtooths, while I’m not exactly sure which dots ibow is referencing.. dots are clues.
When a clue is discovered in current events that lines up with what we see in a PR, we “connect the dots”.
Infrastructure Plan Announcement timing:
Thursday, 11/12:
The Federal Secretary of Finance said the Second Infrastructure Plan announcement would be announced in two to three weeks.
Link
Friday, 11/20:
Carlos Salazar Lomelin said the Second Infrastructure Plan would be announced in the coming days.
Link
Monday 11/23:
Carlos Salazar Lomelin said, “"Progress continues in the infrastructure plan and it is most likely that we will be announcing the second stage very soon.”

Nice, good point! And to clarify for everyone, this will be the 3rd package altogether but the 2nd package announced in 2020.
1st: November 27th, 2019
2nd: October 5th, 2020
3rd: in the coming days
National Infrastructure Plan Package 2 Update:
Excerpts:
In the coming days, the second investment announcement in infrastructure projects will be made, said Carlos Salazar Lomelín, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
“positive aspect will be that the second announcement increasingly includes energy projects.”

Need4speed may know better, but I believe December 12th is when the country (for the most part) begins to close up shop for the holidays.. all the way through January 6th.
Ironically, the consultant would have been paid the very month we believe all permits and consignments were issued. Exactly what our agreement with Horacio was for. Bam!
Big Salami Taco Tuesday!
Cha Ching!! Thanks for the cliff notes Penny!!
Staying current is clearly not a priority for him in comparison with closing his deals/financing. I assume once he takes care of what’s in front of him, he’ll file the 10k. That will then be our que that news is imminent.
And I add this, will Mexico announce the Salina Cruz LNG facility without also announcing the projects responsible for providing the gas to it in the first place? I think not!
Jet, the Federal Secretary of Finance said this past Thursday the next package of infrastructure projects will be presented in 2-3 weeks.
https://www.energiaadebate.com/petroleo/habra-mas-energia-en-proyectos-de-inversion-privada-a-herrera/
This is huge! ->
(To my knowledge), this is the first hydrocarbon export permit Mexico has EVER granted to the private sector.
1. See how long this has taken them? Postponed by the month this entire year! I have long felt that Sempra obtaining this permit (making an FID) was a huge indicator of what is happening with the CRE and AMLO with regards to our projects.
2. AMLO spoke months ago about this ECA LNG permit (and reiterated just last week), that Mexico would agree to issue the permit, only if Sempra would agree to build in addition the Salina Cruz LNG facility. Sempra would only agree to build the Salina Cruz LNG facility if there was going to be gas there to liquify! Hello, Sempra! Good to have you as a customer!
Mirage is a bull!!!!!!
