Keyser, what boards are you enjoying now and what stocks look attractive, if any, to you presently....another old ntst poster was stewart( cant remember the rest of his title and i wonder what happened to him....You two were a pleasure to read and added much to the board....Phillips bought the co. really cheap but us long timers there did well. There are so many cheap stocks today it is rediculous but only the shadow knows what tomorrow brings.

stocks i bought today: cme, kbr,nue, gfre,neop...very nice day to buy with blood everywhere and if i am wrong i will sell quickly.

Perhaps CB is just replacing 11 workers he laid off? I remember he let a bunch go one december and kind of shut things down and then brought them back. Only the shadow knows. I hope it is a good sign but who knows for sure!!!

It is becoming torture to own stocks, bonds, real estate....you name it...CASH is king and the markets may not have even hit their lows yet. Are any banks making money with all the writedowns? Are they using TARP money to pay dividends? STAN.....HELP....SOS...where are you????

Hi Shmo....Good move being out for a while....almost without fail everytime i took up small positions the last month i had to turn around and sell at a loss....i got sucked in on a couple of UP days that turned out bad....but of course i picked up some more stocks this last friday because i am stubborn and not learning from my mistakes!!!!! I live on a cul-de-sac with a doxen or so retired families in a senior (over 50) neighborhood.....with out exception everyone has been killed and none of us are 100% in cash.....unfortunately none has had put protection either...just plain dumb....people who worked hard all their lives, became successful and now are giving it back....this is NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Hey, anyone hear from STAN the man?????

what if there is no more capitulation and just a slow erosion or gradual bottom put in at these levels? I have no answers, just wondering.

bought at the close small positions in nue, c, fcx, ge and agu...will duck out fast if things continue down.

X wii be good...I am buying mos and nue and kbr in small amounts as i am really scared about all terrible markets and the economy...but i want to put some money to work at these levels...I am in my 60s and remember very few markets as bad as this and i go back to the ticker tape days standing in the brokerage and reading a paper ticker.....On the other hand, i have never, ever,ever, ever seen such "bargains and cheapies"...if my positions keep going down i will lighten up and if they go up i will add more....so far it is not working well ........

I started a position in SOL today....appeared to me to be forced selling by hedge fund or institution. Position i started in this and several other stocks today was small because this market sucks.

I bought these today in small amounts: GE, F, MGM.....dont ask my why, please!!!!!! AND one retailer...cwtr... I must be losing all my marbles....but they sure are cheap.

Oil prices will likely be MUCH hire in the summer of 09 than they are now....Hope work is being done now to enhance production and the sale of oil and NG in the 3rd Q of 2009.
