I’m on the site using Safari on an iPad pretty regularly and it looks the same as it always has for me. Granted, I’m consistently in landscape mode rather than portrait mode. Maybe that’s the difference?
Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant! Thanks for the term correction.
A friend of mine uses one of those self-steadying dongle things to hold his camera to avoid the bounce as they’re walking around. It wouldn’t shock me if those were designed specifically for the music industry so the camera people could enjoy the tunes, too.
I like a lot of the Brianna’s dressing. Their poppyseed dressing isn’t my favorite, though. I prefer Albert’s if I want poppyseed dressing.
Maybe they don’t plan on moving around a lot?
That was really good! Thanks for sharing!
I could never be a camera person for anything musical. Even if I don’t care for the song, if it has a decent beat my toes start tapping. I blame being a musician for most of my youth.
I guess I had assumed the drones were controlling the display, kind of like the programmed displays that have been popular for years. Those were drones instead of fireworks?
Is that a recent Twitter change? I haven’t tried to open a tweet on my browser for a while, which is where I stayed logged out until recently.
That sounds quite moving, indeed!
That was fantastic!
I half anticipate that to be a conversation that will need to go on the Idle Ramblings board.
I think you might be thinking of something similar to downvotes on Reddit, perhaps?
On other platforms, people post likes to give “clout.” Since message board influencers aren’t really a thing, the likes would be. ‘I agree with this and have nothing to add at this time’ on sites that are strictly message board.
Does it not stand to reason that if a like is not given then the implied impression is disinterest or dislike? On platforms like Twitter and Instagram there are no ‘dislike’ options. Facebook gives you a whole list of ‘reactions’ to choose from but dislike is not one of them. How is that censorship to have ‘dislike’ simply left at moving on without engagement?
A thumbs up, in general, looks kind of weird, personally. Even on the end of someone’s arm.
Emojis are on the agenda, but a bit further down the line.
Yes, the survey is going to be reopened soon, which is why no winner has been selected yet for the previously mentioned iPad. I am unsure of the timeline for that, though.
Hi, everyone! For the next month, I will be involved in a marketing project. That means you will see a good deal less of me here in that time, but may encounter me on other platforms.
Be kind to Shelly in my partial absence, and more importantly, be kind to each other. Remember civility when the rules change and let’s work together to make this transition as seamless as possible. We have enjoyed a remarkable community in this new world of social media and can maintain our elevated standards while adapting to the rules of contemporary society. Let’s continue to keep iHub a place where all voices are welcome to discuss the companies they love to talk about.
Happy July, everyone!
The ignore button is very useful. Also, if you’re concerned about possibly missing good posts if whomever you ignore seems to be having good points that you aren’t seeing or for any other reason, really, you can go through your ignore list and clear it out.
Even Abnur got annoyed by Mrs Kravitz sometimes when she wouldn’t stop being a nosy nelly. I find it’s always good advice to pick your battles. You don’t have to fight them all.
Unnatural to debate a topic without going after the person you’re talking to? How so?
We get complaints from everybody who has difficulty following the rules as they are right now. Some figure it out, others don’t. We hear a lot from the ones that just don’t get it, regardless of their opinions of the companies, and we are always accused of being pro-“the other side.”
Spoiler alert: We’re pro TOS. We couldn’t possibly care less about any of these companies.
Yes, the end of July.
You are correct. The news shouldn’t be getting crossed, though. The TSX symbol isn’t attached to the NASDAQ board at all. I’m only seeing news for the correct company on my end which is why I asked about the cache.
I’m not seeing news for Acadian Timber. Is it somewhere other than the “News” section? Have you cleared your cache recently?
We are disinterested in deterring one point of view for another. As has always been the case, iHub welcomes all opinions, positive or negative, as long as the opinions are stated within the guidelines of the TOS. We encourage healthy, even lively debate. We do not expect any board to develop into an echo chamber, although I’m sure it happens from time to time. If someone states something another poster doesn’t like about the companies they’re interested in, they have a few options. They can ignore it and go on about their day. They can refute the opinion/information with their own. Or they can do their own due diligence and make their own decisions based on what they find out for theirselves.
You can control what you see. You may not control what anyone else sees.
I don’t know anything about that particular recipe. That’s just the first one I pulled up. I had one that was soup-like and another that was thick like one expects a chili to be. It’s been long enough ago that I don’t remember which tasted better, though.
I dunno, I like the variation of color. It breaks up the monotony and makes thing more appealing to the eyes.
They only get those ad dimes from me if I’m listening to the video. If I’m actively watching, I hit skip as soon as possible.

I’ve had a couple different recipes from a couple different places. Work lunches and whatnot. They aren’t bad, but I prefer regular chili.
Yes! Their kitchen skills make me cringe, but they’re very punny.
My grandma used to talk about “dress slacks” periodically.
Chef Reacts isn’t one of the guys from Snacks and Hacks. I watch them, too, and you’re right. They veer off course and call it a bad recipe. Chef Reacts has reacted to a What The Fork video a few times, I believe.
Ha! I follow that guy on TikTok. He’s pretty funny.
I think I say that in my sleep.
We provide an “Ignore” feature so that you don’t have to read posts from posters you disagree with and do not wish to hear from. That feature is unlimited for everyone.
Was it at least a white chili? Chicken in white chili is okay. Chicken in a dark chili is suspect. Lol
We already restrict accounts to one per household.
Whether posters are telling the truth or not is up to the reader to determine. Everyone is expected to do their own research on the companies they’re discussing.
Wouldn’t “doxxing” naturally fall under the “Violation of Privacy” rule? Is there something different between the two ideas?
This was my assumption, as well. “You said XYZ on this date. You were wrong then so why should I believe you now?” - That sort of posting history was what I was thinking.
That would be a likely outcome, yes.
