Very Very Old news, the key word is "Built for BLSP". BLSP has no ownership in any digester anymore. You need to catch up your DD
I am still not sold on trying to raise salt water animals in tanks for commercial sale in the middle of the US. But time will tell if the concept works. Just sounds terrible expensive on the CAPEX side.
I will watch and learn something that is for sure. Sounds like the previous company that tried to raise the Barramundi had some management issues.
Pretty interesting, SHMP sure has some lofty goals for a lot of facilities. I would like to see them to get some revenue going before talking about these major expansions. Proof of concept would be nice.
Got it. So SHMP is hoping for the $10 per lb market. That makes sense. I will tell you those costco shrimp are pretty damn good! And at 5.99 per Lb a very good deal.
I just watched the video on the Iowa facility. Very nice looking place. What was grown there prior to SHMP acquiring it?
I still do not understand trying to grow salt water animals in the midwest? Is it a speed to market thing? It is not like Iowa is a huge consumer of high end shrimp?
As an engineer it just seems that temps, humidity, corrosion, disposal, and a whole host of other issues would be better managed in a gulf coast state?
Is there some benefit to put a salt water facility in a cold weather place like Iowa? Is it taxes or something?
So breakout??? It cannot be bought in the USA with CE tag. These is no evidence that BLSP even exits commercially. Last info from company was 3 years ago. All movement was based on about $3K of buys.
This one is dead as it has been for years!
I agree with you. They will not compete with Costco. We worked with a guy in Indiana who had the high end restaurant model. He sank his life savings into several pole barns and a lot of stuff. Lasted a few years. It is just really tough to manage the water, air temps and such in the midwest. He eventually folded.
If if were me, put the site in a gulf state with less extreme cold weather, close to salt water, put a constructed salt marsh in for wastewater and make it simple?
They have a lot of gadgets it seems. Iowa?
If COGs are $6 then Costco is not a customer. Do people by shrimp for $12 per pound with tail and heads on? Maybe fresh market is better?
I am knew to this stock as we are looking at some automation for them and was curious about the business side since other work we have done for this industry did not show much of a chance for them to make money?
Maybe SHMP has a different process? And maybe the fresh shrimp are worth more?
Ok, just bought more shrimp today from Costco in Las Vegas.
From DW (Dine Well), Product of Ecuador. 14-19 Shrimp Per Lb. Head and Tail on Frozen, 5.99 per lb. Sold in 4 Lb boxes.
So rough numbers @ 16 Shrimp/LB gives $0.37 Per shrimp. I think Costco buys for about 1/2 of what they sell it for, at least from the cheese experience I have. So they are paying in the $3 per lb range or $0.20 per shrimp.
The last K from SHMP did not show any revenue? So it is difficult for me to calculate their revenues or costs.
But seems like a very competitive market to me?
Anyone have insight?
Has SHMP ever posted their cost per Shrimp? I know that is somewhat variable due to the time of harvest, but it should be a rule of thumb number?
Las Vegas, 21-25 count. Looks to me like Costco packages them somewhere. Head and shell on. Headless but still shelled are $1 more per lb. They are really cheap for BIG shrimp.
The pricing makes it tough to compete!~
Thanks,
The farm raised shrimp at costco are from Ecuador. They are very good quality and excellent to eat. And CHEAP.
I enjoyed reading your analysis. I am in the wastewater world and have done some systems for shrimp guys in the Mid-West. Wastewater and control of the water is a big issue for these guys. Ammonia and TSS are a bitch to control, mostly because they try and make the water last to long as it is very hard to get rid of! Most of the little guys we worked with failed.
I like the idea of farm raised shrimp/fish, seems logical in terms of resources. I do not understand the economics as you pointed out. If they produce 2 million lbs, I would think the wholesale value is closer to 4 million dollar MAX. Why would Costco pay more? In terms of profit, I would guess the P&L is negative. I think your GR numbers are wrong based on the retail value of these shrimp?
Tough way to try and make money. Living the dream, but it does not pay well
So I was in Costco yesterday and could buy fresh farm raised shrimp for 4.99 (3.99 with heads on). Why would you try and raise shrimp where you had to make salt water? Anyone know what their cost to produce a shrimp is?
Seem easier to make them at a single location where you have scale and salt water access and just ship them like is done now?
Just do not get the economics?
yup. have not been wrong yet
Yup BLSP is garbage. Way too many legal actions against them. US offices closed years ago. Noting from company in years. No employees live in the USA anymore.
Just a shell, which was pumped so hard with fiction the SEC shut down trading.
Funny to watch the sheeple try and make BLSP sound real
What happened to Roady and dofuss? I am sure this one is going to the moon very soon!
New York State legal system. Spend 30 min and look it up
You are correct, assets were seized by the creditors and they peddled them to get some of their monies back.
SEC shut them down due to internet BS. There is no evidence BLSP has any commercial activity anywhere in the world
SEC shut down all USA trading due to manipulation of the stock.
Take the $100 and by lottery tickets. Way better chance of a return on your cash
Might be tougher this time for the scammers and pumpers since you cannot buy this pig in the USA
Watch it GROW!!!
And or Pump and dump
Always a pleasure! Have a good Holiday!
PS VSPC will become a diamond hand and will go to the MOON shortly!!!!!
Well about to end another year for VSPC. 2021 was much the same as usual. VSPC DID NOTHING! VSPC SAID NOTHING.
A new poster who claimed big things, but like so many before, all just a bunch of BS
VSPC is and will remain GARBAGE
ST group is trying to form an investment company to buy and sell BLSP in Canada. Why would anyone want to buy the POS, I can see sell,,,,but buy?????
Gevo gets a lot of news but it is all so speculative! They do not make anything that sells!
Funny, VSPC might switch gears and start making GKG meat!!!! I am sure it will do as well as all the rest of the goofy ideas they have had!
I wonder how their pot farms are going???
Is this the week where BLSP finally gets back to $0.0001?????? A lot of pumper support with lawsuits, take over plans, canadian investment groups etc.
BLSP is a PIG, has alway been a PIG. People got pumped on this one. THe Sheeple herd bought the rumor and guess what it was not a rumor rather a bunch of bovine manure.
Yup BLSP never stood a chance and a few here on this board went to bat for them. Sheeple never learn
So the lack of posts on this site corresponds to the lack of activity of the ST group to take control of BLSP and remove the CE tag.
NOT a chance that will ever happen!
Funny, the Kook is a Crook, which many of us have been saying for years. VSPC was just another scam for him to move money around!
What a crook of manure. The Kooky doc is a NUT
Just pumpers, I really dislike them, as they are not good for VSPC or anyone other than themselves
I think you are right! Elite probably has debt to other creditors. It might be the straw that takes down the mighty VSPC!!!!
Seems to be a group that thinks BLSP is making money and hiding it while being "DARK". They say they hired a lawyer!!!! I learned a long time ago, do not throw money down a dry hole!
BLSP has been a pig for years. There is ZERO evidence BLSP has any commercial activities on going!
Sheeple are born everyday.
Wow, this one is as i predicted years ago. DEAD!
I wonder when this one disappears all together? Few actual creditors, so no one pushing for BK. Only the shareholders were screwed. I think the SEC will just close them down, meaning all shareholders end up with nothing. Not any real difference to the value the shareholders have now, which is NOTHING.
Elio, has just discovered another method to fleece sheeple
dondoffy, you are little late to that game, as in several years. It is working out for you about the same as it did Roady!
VSPC is as you know a pig, no news, no people, no money, no projects, no nothing.
But you are entertaining!
Big Run today! News could be coming. I hear Elon is thinking about growing GK weed on mars!
New Board. Anaergia builds AD. Just became public.
