I just read runncoach's link on bryostatin and Crohn's Disease. It wasn’t easy for me because my head tends to spin in the more scientific sections. But after reading it I can see why he is so excited about it. Man, bryostatin is a special molecule in the things that it can do. That article makes me even more confident that we have chosen the right company in Neurotrope.
I was referring to the increase in shares to the Equity Incentive Plan. I figured if they are going to grant shares, do it before they aggressively publicize the company. I voted yes for the increase.
The PR campaign will begin later this month after the additional shares are granted. Did I hear they now have a new PR company? Release the hounds! When should we start calling 60 Minutes to give them the scoop:)
Warrant holders can sell millions of shares after the release of data. But, all those buyers waiting on the sideline to hear results will gobble up those shares like pac-man.
Yeah, that is my conservative range. A triple off of a $10-12 previous close. Then close in on $50 by the end of the day. Conservatively speaking.
Wow, what a range! We have opening price predictions from possibly under $20 per share, to probably over $100 per share if we get similar results. This is important in formulating a strategy. If the closer to $20 opening is more correct, that would lend to selling all of my shares before results and then catch it on the back end. If the $100 per share is more correct that would lead to me taking a chance and letting it all ride. Decisions, decisions.
To be honest. I don’t want to say what price I really think it will be, because I don’t want to seem like a nut case. Lol.
No. That price is my conservative next morning opening price prediction. I think it will be over $100 per share before year end. What is your next morning opening price prediction?
My investment strategy for this stock is to sell some of my shares before results are released and to hold a large chunk of shares into release. If the results are good I will go all in with all the funds I have. In a five dollar range what is your guess of the opening s/p after good results (close to subgroup results). I say $30-35.
The company is still saying data release in late summer. Summer ends September 23rd.
Runncoach, you probably were suggesting this in your post, but I’m a little slow. In Dr Abeles' post in S.A., I just clicked on his “comments” link, which displays all his previous comments on S.A. Although I had read them in real time, it was a very interesting refresher read.
I called Lane out on his S.A. article. The entire article was designed to commandeer any past and future success of bryostatin, so that he can hand it over to his chosen champion, antioxidants. To make the statement “How effective the antioxidants used as diluents in the bryostatin-1 Alzheimer’s clinical trial are remains to be seen.”, it's obvious what he is trying to do.
Is there a doctor in the house? :) Thanks.
I also noticed how he reverted back to the general PKC. It's like he doesn’t want to give any detailed information if it will make NTRP look good. He didn’t even mention that the trial was a confirmatory trial because he would have had to mention the 15 out of 16 patients that had improved cognitive scores.
Lane responds to Dr. Abeles on S.A.
This is a positive article on NTRP from Lane if you compare it to his historical belief of bryostatin's chances of success. He is obviously biased towards companies that matches his established beliefs in the science of neurology. But if you noticed, NTRP was the only company that he recommended this followers buy (although in a rayovacAAA kinda way). At least that was my interpretation.
Wow, how is this volume going through at 8.15 without moving the price?
Yeah runncoach, the stock going below zero was my biggest fear also, until I realized I could then buy 3 trillion more shares. Lol.
Hey Whatsupp, are you sure it’s 10x revenue and not 10x profit? Thanks.
Thanks FooBarAndGrill. Just trying to figure out what NTRP would be worth if bryostatin was already approved and generating X amount in sells.
Does anyone know the average sales-to-worth of a company in the small biotech sector?
If you had a following you would know about - Under promise and over deliver.
“Replication Trial To Confirm Reversal of Cognitive Decline with Bryostatin for Advanced Alzheimer’s Patients in the Absence of Memantine”
I love the title. Especially the R word.......Reversal.
AXSM may logically be a good comparison to what may happen to NTRP if results are as good as expected. But initially logic will go out the window. There’s plenty of investors who have never heard of AXSM and its drug trial. But if this confirmatory trial is successful and words like “drug that reverses Alzheimer’s” starts to be thrown around, you will be hard press to find anyone that hasn’t heard of it. The elusiveness and mystic of finding a drug that “cures” Alzheimer’s will cause retail investors to want in. They will push the price of this stock to levels that may seem to be illogical. BOOM!!
I'm OK with the low volume right now. At least the sellers are patient. Buyers that want in will have to eventually push the price up. I can wait.
NTRP's MOA is more than a common sense approach, it's a no-brainer approach (excuse the pun). I'm still giving it an 80% chance of success :)
That’s a part of my plan. Any funds from shares I take off the table before data release will be used to re-buy shares if results are positive.
Investor2014, you know how those of us on this board feel about the chances of success of this trial because we’ve put our money behind it. Do you think the trial will fail? Is there a better AD drug trial out there?
Investor2014, investors have been following “the experts in the field” for decades and have lost fortunes doing so.
Do you have a bear case against the possible success of this trial outside of your previous post?
If I were to continue asking the same question over and over and over on this board, will everyone please agree to not respond to me. Thank you.
Thanks for that simplified explanation, Cyosol. That really helped.
FooBarAndGrill do plan on taken any off the table before release?
If the company has any PR that can increase the s/p, they will wait until they get their additional shares awarded before they release it.
Thanks, that’s what I thought you meant.
Runncoach, can you clarify your post. The post sound like you believe that we may take a $5 hit if we don’t have both good trial results AND the additional trials.
Whatsupp, don't bother they’ll find out.
How many of you listened to the Q and A at the end of the conference? Dr. Alkon put on a mini-clinic. I would have love to be the guy that was left in the room alone with Dr. Alkon asking him questions at the end of the conference. The guy asked them about the oral synthetic at around 3:23:30 but I could barely hear the answer.
Lol!!
I hope AVXL has success in treating A.D. I also hope avocados are found to be able to treat A.D. I don’t know about you, but after reading all these posts here about AVXL I am starting to believe that AVXL has about the same chances of success in treating A.D. as do avocados.
