The fact this plant in on the schedule at all shows how broken the american govt is. There has never been a death caused by cannabis. The war on drugs implemented by racists has caused horror around the world. Vote for people who understand this and your portfolio will be green over night. Put the people who tried to over throw the government on Jan 6 in jail and let the gardeners be free and we will all be better off! Cannabis cures cancer and IBS. And many other things. Amazing what you find out when you actually study something instead of lying and making arbitrary and malicious laws so your buddies (dupont/hurst) can avoid healthy competition from a better commodity…..
Yuuuup! And it seems to be our little secret I have no idea why there are not more people here.
Earnings May 30 from what I can tell. I find it funny that tip ranks expects a higher price per share earnings than the share price at the moment. Do not really know what to make of that….
https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/cgc/earnings-calendar
If it follows its usual pattern it should be green till earnings then drop like a rock
Not bad
Forgot about their booze biz, I was thinking cannabis, THC specifically. So many companies too little time.

So Canopy is ranked 2x as high on its reputation than its other competitors and it is up slightly. Not bad for a business that is not allowed to advertise.
Your vote matters. Tell your reps you want them to fix this before the election. That is the only way things will change. America runs on pandering to pharma and other big business and filling up for profit jails with gardeners. The only way that will change is if the American people start using their votes instead of being upset that their government is ineffective. Big business is laughing all the way to the bank.
Tilray has no business in the USA nor do any of the others you named. They are able to list on US exchanges because they have no American operations. They are floundering and bloated and would not be an asset at all. CBDD is better to build or bust on its own effort than tie itself to an anchor.
That makes much more sense.
The USA is full of small companies begging to be bought/merged with somebody else. If they are going to have a shot they are better to work Europe. It mat not be as saturated and the US name may be a benefit there.
I agree. The US system is in such a mess they are best to stay away from it. USA is anti natural remedy and pro pharma so there will be better progress elsewhere. The CBD space is crowded and with 280e anything with THC is taxed beyond reason. Best to focus where they can be a first mover and grow there. The Americans seem to be intentionally destroying their global advantage. Canada is no better, CBD is treated with the same regulations as THC even tho it has no psychoactive properties. Just one of the challenges of being early. I would highly recommend any investor here send a note to their representatives and tell them to get off their thumbs. With elections coming they may just listen. You know pharma is blocking at every turn and they have offices in Washington

I have no problem with it lol! I do not own any but a souvenir. I have not been invested in this since the drop from $60. I have been interested in the industry from a CPG mfg perspective. That is where the future of all cannabis products lie. I know the Constellation mgmnt fired their best advertisement they could have for a product they can not advertise and have tanked ever since. Looking at Chris Perry it is not even good for trading so I am patient. I guess it will (maybe) be constellation stock once they destroy Canopy to take it over super cheap. He gave me the answer I came here asking. He is even blind to what is happening but at least he talks about other stuff than dank buds kind of…His hatred for the company is quantified.
I am glad I sold them a while back. I was underwhelmed by the CEO. I really hope Aleafia is able to stick it out. There will be continued consolidation in Canada. The industry has really not even levelled out yet. Still a work in progress
I have no interest in strains. I really enjoy their ginger drinks and their chocolate bars. So, if I had to pick a strain I would say Baker Street which is a Hindu Kush. Smoking the herb is disgusting. I have tried many times and it is just not worth the smell and choking. I can identify all the nuances like wine tasting and find it equally pretentious. I have a friend who is a grower who keeps giving me the stuff and I will only choke it down once in a while to make him happy. I would never pay for the experience tho lol! I do not buy many of Canopy’s products these days. Their chocolate bars helped my daughter enormously when she could not keep anything else down she could eat the peppermint bars. I really enjoy the Zen’s garden vapes by Aleafia (aka Emblem) it is a nice balance of cbd and thc that suits me well. And I will pick up a ginger drink once in a while. Cannabis is a commodity and CPG is where the industry is going.
I am glad for them :) are they public? What is the ticker?
Your hatred for the industry clouds your judgement.
Thank you!
That would be a problem if this was a company that focused exclusively in the US. It is a global company and other governments are serious about controlling emissions.
This was also expected. You seem surprised? It is an ingredient. Stoners already have their own suppliers. There will be a big pop when the US finally gets out of its own way then a huge dump and then we will see what the demand really grows in to. Fun watching it all unfold :)
Anybody else get a personalized invitation to a class action settlement?
You just proved my point Bonno :) its all good, there is room for everybody.
You are so focused on the legacy market you are blind to the future. Canopy’s main customers do not even know it exists yet. It is almost impossible to mass produce fire, the legacy market has that covered already and their margins are getting so tight that only folks who love the plant will be the ones growing any at all pretty soon. Look at the collapse of the prices in the US. The same thing will happen here. Like it or not, weed is a commodity. I have said that from the beginning. The only reason for the crazy high prices is the premium of being illegal. After that goes away, it is no more interesting than lavender :)
I have a different focus than you do. That is all :) there is room for everyone that is what makes it fun. My imaginary details are far outside most trader’s scope. I am very happy over here lol! In spite of what all the legacy guys hope for, cannabis will become a mainstream CPG product that is in a can or bottle or a gummy. No dankness is required lol! Hard to give up holding on to old mindsets. Canopy is down, they are owned by a large beverage maker and they seem to have plans in that space. I am just trying to find out when they hit bottom. Whether it is Constellation or Canopy there is potential here. Not much interest in trading. Too busy with living life to sit in front of the screen all day.
Thank you :) glad you are doing well. I have a few companies that are building on blockchain tech. A couple of ev plays and I have no doubt cannabis will be like alcohol and am positioning accordingly. So interesting to watch society pivot. Challenge to see which will be the winners. That is the fun tho
They are making more cuts to accelerate the path to profitability…. I do not see any cuts to management’s plump salaries listed tho :) explains the drop lol!

Dogger nice to see you again :) Are you considering getting back in? Or just taking a look for old time’s sake? How close it global growth to the amount needed that you predicted years ago? Isn’t this an interesting time to be alive ?!
Canopy has the constellation infrastructure behind it. That is to their benefit. It seems like the constellation people are beginning to understand what is needed. Question is, how far does this fall?
I have not had any Canopy since $60 when they gave their best advertiser the boot. I have been watching them from the sidelines since then. They still have a lot of IP and seem to be serious about the beverage side of the business. They have been taking the write downs on “goodwill” and they are a good size in the US and they talk of using the Acreage assets once the US finishes tripping over its own feet. They really are well positioned for the long run. I mean long. I am just not sure if they will take it over under Constellation Brands or leave it as a stand alone. The Constellation price will drop if they take them over and I think there is still farther to fall here, just wondering what others who are familiar with this company’s history think is likey.
Isn’t that a benefit in the long run? Bigger companies are able to survive down markets better than small ones. I think there is more down side first tho. Not buying yet unless to swing trade. This market is rather unsteady right now.

Thank you, I see them as a long term hold if anything. Just trying to see if Constellation will take over the whole group, Acreage and Canopy or run them as separate entities
All good here :) busy and good! I have discovered twitter lol. Lots of chatter there, good info right from the companies. That glass and family. Loving this time in my life the glass mojo is coming back. Might squeeze out a puzzle piece yet. I have not forgotten :)
Thank you for the update and overview hiroller :) they have been busy as usual! Hard to believe they are less than 2 years old! This is getting exciting!
It is all good Borysek :) Text lacks nuance. It is easy to take things the wrong way in chats. What do you think about what the company is doing these days? I feel this will have a decent future eventually, do you think it is time to get into a long position yet? I know you valued it between $5 and $10. I have a soft spot for this company that started it all. Im just deciding whether to get back in now before the US legalizes? Or wait till Constellation takes them over. If they do, Constellation’s price will drop when they take over canopy. If they leave Canopy as a stand alone subsidiary I think this would be a good entry point for a long hold. What are your thoughts? Or do you just trade exclusively?
You should stick with what you know how to do. You flip stocks for a quick return. I invest long term. You do you borys but do not pretend you have a clue about me or what I am good at.
I have no idea why you would think that. If you want perogies you will find recipes on line. I am just getting the chart to match the company on the page. You are welcome.
