Read Einhorn's book, subtitle "A Long Short Story" He lost both ways many times but also won long many times
That would be the coolest thing ever!
Plus we've known ever since the mice studies way back when that A2-73 improves cognition. This is a totally Wall Street induced tempest
Hillary Clinton did not go on a "crusade" against this scum bag. She was joined in her criticism by Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders
I agree and I've been nimbling. Fear mongering at its worst
Perhaps AXON should buy AVXL? There are two funds with very large AXON holdings (one is over iB). Perhaps with their help AXON could do it?
Well I live in Ann Arbor and I'm a 100% MSU fan
"Lick spittle of the short sellers"--I love it!!
AVXL has also used nontransgenic mouse models, One study used 35 peptide-injected mice. The paper is on the AVXL website
If it's only 10%, that makes sense. Might do it myself
If you really think AVXL will be worth $200-$275 in the near future, why would you sell some shares at $50? What's so important about getting back your original investment compared to earning lots more moolah?
Unfortunately Napoleon's Grand Strategy didn't work in the end. He almost won at Waterloo but ultimately he was overwhelmed by a superior force. Among the victors were the Germans (Hessians) so they like us were in good German hands. And there is no superior force to Avanex
Very illuming post, thank you
OK that's what I believe, not what i know for an absolute certainty.: Point is 11/7 is not as crucial as others believe. But patent approval is and AVXL hits $40 if it gets approved. Then partnership or buyout
The biggest move will come when the patent is approved which is 2-3 weeks off
From today's WSJ:
"Separately, Pfizer CEO Ian Read said during a call with analysts and invesotrs that the company is on the lookout for deals, especially one that would bolster the business SELLING PATENT-PROTECTED DRUGS. Mr. Read said he was targeting a deal that improved this innovative drug business, not necessarily a deal that would lower Pfizer's taxes."
Wow--unbelievable!!
Could the good doctor be using LPC money to fight the shorts? How far did the shorts let DNDN advance before they launched their all-out invasion?
Yes that would be a difficult transition. Have you ever lived in Japan?
I remembered that after I posted. A friend's nephew was stationed there. His job was to kill poisonous snakes. Now he's in Fort Lauderdale and much happier
What island are you on? I was once forced to spend a year on Martha's Vineyard. Grew to despise the place. Way way too many yppies
HFT for one thing. But I'm no expert on margin buying. Just saying (to myself if to no other) I wouldn't do it at my age. Unless it was my wife's money lol
Thanks for citing the article on Cramer and naked shorting. I'll be checking DeepCapture.com from now on
One of my assumptions:
Whatever the stock price, the shorts and the naked shorts can take it down 50% whenever they want to with any stock in the world.
Never ever do margin
btw The lady doc who gave last evenings grim assessment of ALZ costs on PBS works at the Icahn Medical Institute in NYC. Maybe She could be contacted and told about AVXL? Even better then she could pass on the word to Carl....
Check out this evenings PBS Newshour report:
www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/dementia-takes-huge-financial-toll-families/
Agree 100%! Google Jim Cramer and naked shorting and/or read the book, The Payoff, to find out how it's done
Naked shorting is sort of illegal but the houses know how to get around it. The way it is now it's all a question of "intent" which most securities lawyers have no trouble getting around. Fraud is the same way--have to prove intent. With the NY Court of Appeals greatly softening the rules on inside trading, I'd say the Wild West has returned to Wall Street--if in fact it ever left
Naked shorting--happens all the time
The Metropolitan Opera or the Metropolitan Museum of Art? Wish I could go to both
I know A2-73 may be able to treat depression. But I was wondering if it might help to quell human aggressiveness? (Which seems to be the eventual downfall of our species) If not I'm sure such a drug will be developed
marsayns_gold: Check out her/his post on YMB. It provides an abstract of Dr. Missling's presentation at Barcelona. Certainly suggest cognitive improvement to me.
What's a human off trial?
I was able to understand the one sentence summary (sort of).
As to the rest I started getting oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction so had to give up.
Maybe some day an app will translate these scientific articles into understandable English
There are certainly many sheep in Greece, a highly-favored meat source. But you can't beat a good mouse study...so simple...so elegant
When will AVXL be able to test on non-Alzheimers patients, i.e., forgetful seniors?
How about some mouse studies with mice of different ages? (I do know it's not actual mice but something in a vial which can be purchased for around $365.)
I know I have mice on the brain. Maybe I'm delusional?
Or Swiss. German-speaking Swiss
XBI is for small cap bios. IBB is for the big boys. Both did well today
Without a successful mouse study, our Himalayan pussy cat, Charlie, says a baby biotech isn't worth squat.
Of course, Charlie being a Himalayan (and possibly a reincarnated lama) prefers Asian mice, particularly the ones with long coats like yaks
Did ONCS do a successful mouse study as AVXL has done?
