I pretended I was Bond for a day and sent out alerts to everyone I know who might be interested. That's what I'm talking about all day long.
You know you are pretty crafty and sharp.
I don't remember who asked the question about expansion, but whoever that was also suggested that a plant could be set up elsewhere or even in Detroit. It was met with nods from tbe lqmt staff. Anybody remember the details of that?
I was present when the question was asked. Predictably we were told they would announce orders when they could. Neither confirmed or dwnied. This was in the overview session where they also told us about two new Engel machines. Four new parts for medical, machines needed for medical capacity, drew my own conclusion from that. Ultimately though we need to see the revenue and orders come.
Murphy was pretty impressive wasn't he? Talk about in depth technical knowledge! Between he and AR they had to do some hard thinking to answer questions. It was amazing. I felt like a fithgrader at times.
Nice AR. Very well articulated. I don't disagree with anything you said.
For everyone reading AR really worked the event non stop.
One shout out for the QA manager. Really knew his stuff. I have a bit of nuclear background with quality assurance. Out of date as I am, I found him very knowledgeable and on top of things. One thing he told me about was the CMMS (?) machine they are using to sample finished parts to ensure they meet specs. Additionally he shared his idea to pursue a larger machine to QA molds prior to production. I see this as very good forward thinking. A way to progress quality even further and find potential problems in advance.
Again AR thank you for showing the leadership to getting us together and your detailed analysis.
Exactly man, when some of us have six figures or more invested, we want to know the team. Thats the reason I went there this week. Loved meeting you and the GF (and others). For now I am sure my investment is not at risk. In fact just like I posted I am bullish on the future, hard not to be. Always careful to avoid stockholms but seriously the whole gig was on the up and up. I work in Missouri a lot and you know what they say there ... Cant wait for Axioms post.
In multiple sessions I believe they repeated talking points which were - when they engage the customer they plan to provide the product, no matter which type is needed. MIM, Cast or Injection. This is pretty high level I realize, but it was new.
BTW good to meet you handsome!
I have to say at the time of the scam post, I actually considered the same. Hey we had been told a lot. Nothing came from what I was told by LQMT at the time. I mean seriously there was a lot said. I even worry about it today. Lets put the scam talk to rest, eh?
Perhaps someone else could answer, I don't rightly know.
I think one big shift is that the business plan cites the Engel machine is just one way to deliver value for the customer. That's a pretty big shift and acknowledges that needs are different.
Dude it is so hard to not got there. There is so much potential gearing up. I don't know exactly to path to that pps but we have the team in place and several avenues to get there.
One huge and I mean huge thing is the current focus on on customer capture. There isn't a part we or our partners can't supply. MIM, cast or injection. The vision and foundation is being laid. It's slower than I wanted, but that's OK I think.
Point of reference my cost basis is still in the .12 - .13 range. I still think another 2-3x is a reasonable expectation. Not only that I think we see break even and then profits next year. So your $3 pps is in the realm of possibilities. Imo
Hey eagle. One thing I am not clear on is contracts. There may be paying customers. In fact I think there are. What was really clear is no one would share that information before an official sanctioned release by management. Stuff covered by the loading bay was a huge easter egg. Take it for what it's worth. Twt.
Highlight of my trip. First billionaire handshake for me!
Correct on the margins. Apparently the cost of molds can be enough to kill a deal. Having a good reliable mold maker and the ability to fix a mold is important.
No I personally believe the price will take off long before 2019. I believe by 2019 that we could see NASDAQ.
I was really hoping to hear something today that would substantiate $1 by year end. I did not hear that. I also didn't hear anything against that. So it is still possible in my mind.
What I did hear was enough evidence in my own mind that this thing has wheels. There are a lot of people pushing and pulling. The Lqmt team really believes that working with Eontec will open the doors to manufacturing. They now have the ability to produce revenue at three different levels. This has never happened before. Six machines plus 2? They have a ton of confidence to buy those I think.
So the question remains how do we get from .40 to $1 and when. Perhaps it doesn't matter if I look at the longer horizon. $4 March of 2019 is a good guess?
Posted up my notes bucnindians1
Not a technical guru, just a regular guy like you, trying to understand what’s going on. I am going to dump by notes from the OH, pretty much unedited here. If you have information about one of my comments being wrong let me know and I will correct my records too.
Most important thing I learned:
Buy more shares, don’t sell any. Two year hold for me.
Who I met:
Professor Lugee Li - President and CEO, LQMT
Isaac Bresnick, Executive Director, LQMT
Bruce Bromage - Executive Vice Presdient of Business Development and Operations, LQMT
Sean Okeeffe - Solutions Engineer, LQMT
Otis Buchanan - VP Investor Relations, Media Relations, LQMT
Eric Fuentes – Account Manager, ENGEL
Jim Liu – CEO, L.K. Technology Holdings Limited
7 or 8 others I didn’t grab cards from or mark their names down.
Several iHubbers, they will share what they want as well.
Mind dump:
Really liked the folks from Liquidmetal. Down to earth regular people. Spent time talking to the different folks working the event. Good amount of optimism and professionalism.
Event set up was for three manufacturing stations. MIM, Amorphous Casting and Amorphous Injection. Two machining and secondary ops areas for finishing and then the quality assurance area. Then three presentations: Liquidmetal Overview, Biocompatibility and Partners. They could have/should have published the set up before the event, but I think it was normal and fine for it to be handled the way it was.
Each attendee was given a map, hand out, pen, money clip, design manual, Liquidmetal flags, etc.. They had an engraving station where they engraved the Pen and Money Clip with your name.
Plenty of food and drinks were available throughout the event.
Looked to me that there were at least 200 people who came through but I couldn’t be sure. I asked about it up front and they didn’t think that number was off. Saw many 20-25 LQMT employees and another 20-25 JVs, Eontec, Matrion etc.. folks.
It was obvious to me reading between the lines that there is an increase in revenue, but also heard the rumor that we did not expect to be profitable in 2017. (need to verify that with source) Outgoing materials seemed to be stored in the loading area, but covered up to protect the customer identity.
Number of machines could easily be doubled. Perhaps a max of 14-16 total. Plans on floor for two more Engel machines. The lines are actually painted on floor. Note every MIM requires CNC capacity which means more CNC machines.
In session for overview the subject was brought up that there may be new medical orders in 2018 for more than 4 parts. Some of which (3?) would be either Engel or Eontec machine produced parts. The fourth MIM. The need for the two new machines is based on this. No guarantee, but who would buy more machines if they cant be used? Counter: Don’t you need the machines first to prove you can handle the order?
The 105 material, even though not under patent, is the key to medical (and other?) success. The reason it is key is because of the relationship between Matrion, Engel and LQMT. This is unique and is what brings the competitive edge. The process is repeatable within specifications. It is traceable. All supporting the medical requirements.
FDA approval is long and drawn out. LQMT has taken steps to get ahead of this by providing testing of 105 in advance to clients. This enables the clients to move faster towards production. Only when the completed product is ready, can it be submitted for FDA approval.
LQMT is focusing on three types of medical devices. Surface, External (monitoring) and Implants. All made from 105. Great results so far in testing. 105 has very low leaching rates, some so low they cannot be measured.
Eontec has 27 machines. They have been making molds for LQMT. Molds are much cheaper than in the US. Quality from ALL mold makers can be an issue. This is because of the tight tolerance of seals to create vacuum and limit contaminants. QA departments uses a number of non-destructive testing methods as well as destructive tests. They are looking for ways to apply this to molds as well. I got the impression that quality is important, but that the quality is very high.
There is not any current work being done with drones or batteries, however they have produced battery cases in the past.
Due to ongoing commitments to Apple, LQMT could not discuss Apple.
My conjecture points- to be proven, not based on facts exactly, but my read:
Orders are being processed today.
Revenues are increasing.
Contract announcements may come at any time, not ruling them out.
Quarterly reports may telegraph orders before a PR.
LQMT will not be profitable in 2017.
Medical contracts on the way from multiple companies.
One medical company may account for several parts.
There is more than one medical company in the pipeline
8-12 Engel machines have been sold to major companies.
Some of these may be in Europe.
Apple has procured their own machines in addition to this number.
Professor Li is gearing up to produce CE for Apple. Now he can.
Zero found on actual revenue. Rumor was not a profit in 2017. That could mean a lot of things. Including that revenue is up. I expect to see that.
Yes. Generally referred to needing 4 machines to fulfill future medical orders.
No the subject was brought up many times. Until the information can be released it will be held. You could tell they are dying to talk about it imo
Li was there and available. The whole team had a set of talking points and they generally stuck to those. Li took the time to meet with people even came out of his office and meetings to say farewell to one attendee. Li did not make a speech, but through individual conversations reinforced what he has said in the past. We are moving forward and it will take a little more time.
Agreed. Later Confirmed this with Li after you left.
Not officially in the mfg area. They cited privacy and security issues. They filmed and took many pictures which they said would be posted on the website. I even got a picture with Li.
Sure will. I need to sit down and collect myself. Perhaps with a cigar and a good scotch. Took 3-4 pages of notes and met all the names we talk about here. Quick gut check - I like them. They know what to do, how to do it and now they can.
No I did not, but they did mention that they have completed over 100 prototypes in the last two years. Their cleanup facilities and what not are maxed. Also mentioned they are doing production runs. Would not divulge clients.
Lots to go over. Lots happening. Lots of progress and lots of work still to do. I have decided to start buying more shares based on what I saw and heard today. My 2 cents.
No they impress machines do not appear to be in the building.
This is Going to take more time. I can easily see $1 in our future. This is a rocket to the moon $4-5 in 5 years imo. Not sure of the path or turns, but that's my read on the whole deal. Just spoke with Li as he told others that we need just a little more time and patience. I believe him. This is going to be big. So shout out to eagle March 2019 should be a very happy time.
Yeah baby!
Not yet. Locked, loaded and ready to roll. I'm on the road to OH now. Right coast to left!
People be crazy to sell now. You know seriously what do any of us know? Not much. LI will make it all work.
What? Its math. .39<.100
$200 ask. Love it when that pops up.
A higher low today may be a good sign me thinks.
Get it now or miss out on $0.75
