Also, when the aroons head downwards together, I understand that it means consolidation, but how do you confirm which direction the sp will go after the aroons have crossed the 30? It always represents a reversal but I can't pin down what will confirm the direction of hte reversal.
lowtrade, when you say ADX high you mean, adx above the DMI+ and - correct?
Sorry, the example (picture) you posted is no longer there.
thanks!
lowtrade, please explain to me how the RSI will confirm a move to the upside with the DMI/ADX.
PS. check your mail.
lowtrade: I'm waiting for the DMI- to cross the ADX on the daily chart. It's always a great indicator after the DMI+ and DMI- converge as you explained a few months ago.
Thanks trims EOM
tech: I am enjoying level 2, lots you can learn from it. Alot better when it's in real-time.
IMO Gap being filled EOM
Good lord, live stockcharts is soooooo much better. I love seeing the aroons on the intraday charts. Those diamonds are working : ) look at the mini red hat diamond that formed right as the rush began this morning on aroons 3 and 5 on the 5 min chart.
OT: This always happens when a stock is about to pop, people start spreading rumors... IMO Huff wants to be big time I doubt he will be willing to sellout sanswire... not yet. IMO don't believe anything unless there are facts to back up the claim, BTW we should be speaking about this stuff on the other board.
Pit, I agree, I am very happy that the numbers have not been given away.
OT:trimsprims: Thanks for the recommendation, I was thinking of getting the extra package with the real-time... I don't mind hitting the refresh button all the time.
BTW what is the best deal out there for getting level 2 and real-time quotes? That's all I need right now in addition to the stockcharts. Currently I am using demos. I wish that stockcharts had an add on for streaming real time quotes and level 2.
I need to subscribe to stockcharts now...
BTW when you are looking for the diamonds look at aroons 3, 5, 8 at the same time to make it more clear. When I subscribe to stock charts it will be so much better because I'll be able to look at all the indicators I want at the same time!
rmcd: diamonds
Wow, VION is full of diamonds and double diamonds, if you take a look at early december, you will see the high small green cap second diamond. According to my little theory, that would have been an early sign to stay away from that stock. Vion is not doing the same thing GTEL is because gtel does not have all those green capped diamonds which are very bearish.
IMO
FWIW, Friday runs in sp occured often during Gtel's first increases through to .36 from December until mid- february.
I really like the way the charts are beginning to look, Aroon 8 is showing signs of a reversal coming... it seems that all of us have one opinion in common and that is that GTEL will go up from here. The only thing that bothers me is that every time the chart is looking great, GNET jumps onto the ask and starts manipulating again.
Will: I agree, why change the name?
vero: The second we saw that red hat form and the fact that there was not dip downwards IMO means that we will be seeing a significant run upwards. Just remember that there are still more rules that need to be made regarding this diamond thing. The only problem is that it doesn't work well with other indicators, MACD could be heading straight down and a red hat diamond could form telling an early sign of a reversal. The theory needs more rules to it as you said earlier.
vero: Yes I was looking at
AAPL yesterday and the 5th diamond is much clearer if you look at the chart under Aroon 8.
Let me know if you come up with anything or find any charts that are currently forming diamonds.
I will be watching gtel closely for the double diamond.
rmcd: yes exactly, remember that I just figured this out today, I looked at about 20 different charts and that seemed to be the case for all of them so let's see what happens.
lowtrade: But each stock is assigned a single specialist not multiple specialists.
Well what a coincidence, here's a chance to prove my diamond theory. Today we formed a diamond on Aroon 5 which means IMO we will dip down in the near future unless a double diamond is formed. If the double diamond is formed we will skyrocket up without an initial dip down. Remember that the upwards movement should occur before the double diamond is fully formed and that the second diamond might not be a perfect diamond but still distinguishable.
Our little cash cow is quite pretty!!!
It's very sexy to tell you the truth!!!
The ompa lompa MM has lots of shares he needs to get rid of before we take off, IMO, he likes to jump infront of GNET.
Next I want to get these inverted triangle formations down pat...
They mean something... I know it!!!
Damn, I gotta finish my final business report and stop looking at this stuff!!! But I love it!
Vero:I'll use GTEL's chart as an example.
Take a look at the diamond formed around March 14 and then take a look at the double diamond formed on March 28 into the beginning of April. See what happens? As I said the double diamond is tricky because you must use your other indicators to buy before it is formed to get the full pop.
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=GTEL,uu[h,a]daclyyay[db][pd20,2][vc60][iUv8!Ll14]&pr...
Now take a look at MOBL from April 11 to April 25. You will notice another double diamond but the second diamond is disfigured, if you were to even out the aroon down that connects the diamonds by bending it towards the right, you would get a more distinguishable second diamond telling you to BUY.
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=MOBL,uu[h,a]daclyyay[db][pd20,2][vc60][iUv8!Ll14]&pr...
Or even better change the aroon to 5 and you will see a more distinguishable double diamond.
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=MOBL,uu[h,a]daclyyay[db][pd20,2][vc60][iUv5!Ll14]&pr...
Take a look at any chart from any stock and you will see that I am right. Use the different Aroons to find the diamonds, so far I have noticed that aroons 5 and 8 work best.
Good Luck, let me know your thoughts!
willsimon: MM's are completely removed from the picture.
A double diamond must be watched for carefully for example recently in MOBL and CSCO, the second diamond is slightly disfigured.
Just another confirmation to add to everyone's list! It works at least 95% of the time!!!
IMO the time to buy in the a double diamond is when you are pretty sure that the second diamond will form (or before the aroons cross).
I've just discovered something amazing I'd like to share with everyone regarding my studies of Aroons specifically aroon (8):
When a diamond forms it is a sure sign of a big reversal. If the the top of the diamond is red, the reversal will be upwards. If the top of the diamond is green, the reversal will be downwards. If you get get a double diamond, the reversal will most likely be huge and will move according to the the top of the second diamond. In many cases the diamond doesn't have to be a perfect shape but clearly distinguishable.
Any thoughts? I wish I could post multiple examples but I don't know how.
At the same time the Bid between .22 and .23 has really started to pile up.
Thanks Tech. BTW just noticed more blocks setting up from .24 to .26
Bleh...they came back.
Tech: we want that MACD to cross the 0 on the 15min for next signal correct?

Some clarity on R/S and AMEX move
Rocky, the information above states that the move to the AMEX will take place on May 19th, but from my understanding of the following pr, the move will take place anywhere from May 19 until May 29th. You may want to update the information so that people are not confused. I would also like to reiterate that the R/S could happen any day "prior" to (meaning before) the AMEX move.
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/050510/105707.html?.v=1
" It is expected that the process will take 10 days to complete but may be as many as 20 days depending on regulatory issues and filing times. "
Remember everyone that the AMEX move may happen anywhere between the 19th and the 29th and we have not yet been given a date for when the 15:1 split will occur. All we know is that it will happen prior (before) the AMEX move.
Okay, Aroons 5-25 are all showing signs of a reversal coming up, what does this mean? usually I see the up and down lines coming together heading downwards on aroons 5 and 8 but never have I seen them all moving down from aroons 5-25.
Any thoughts?
MACD about to converge on the 15min chart.
If the DMI- passes through the ADX on the 5 min chart, IMO, we will see a reversal happen soon after to the upside.
tech: can we say "News Released" and not post the news?
Thanks tech great post, makes me feel much better to see GTEL doing well in Frankfurt.
