Yes, I had stated this years ago. It wasn't just by chance Li entered the picture. He was brought in by Apple to bring BMG to mass production. Time will tell if he succeeds for them.
Thanks, the possibility of Aluminum and magnesium alloys (which are already being manufactured by Eon), brings a whole different perspective to revenue potential. That market is, especially in the EV market, is enormous.
States right at the end of the blog: "These technologies are rarely competing for the same part because of the big differences in price and strength."
So they are not really comparing the two processes for pure comparison purposes. Josh has implied in prior posts that Eon Aluminum and/or Magnesium Alloys sold in LM territories would bring revenue to LQMT. If this were true, then the blog may be more an indicator of future sales.
The question is - does the cross licensing agreement apply only to BMG products? Or does it apply to all IP that Eon owns? If the later, then that is huge for LQMT.

"According to Prosser, three separate sources of his have now confirmed that "?AirPods Studio? will NOT be in the event." That prediction falls in line with Prosser's claim earlier this week the headphones won't reach mass production until October 20.
Prosser thinks ?AirPods Studio? could instead be announced via press release at the end of the month. It's also worth noting that as of late September Apple stopped selling third-party audio accessories like speakers and headphones, suggesting a new HomePod "Mini" or ?AirPods Studio? launch is imminent."
Airtags delayed, Airpods Studio launched in separate release from next weeks event.

Not even close to our target customer. That is why it is such an odd thing to blog about.
If you are a materials engineer and do not understand the vast differences between these two applications which are for completely different needs, then you might want to consider another career.
Why did they put up a blog about die casting? That's not even a process they use and is not really considered an alternative or competitor to BMG as the process and applications are much different. The only die casting is what Eon does with their aluminum and magnesium alloy casting machines. But what does that have to do with LQMT and why are they noting this process on their website? Seems odd...
That's not BMG. It's a thermal paste made from metals that are liquid at room temperature (gallium etc ). They are widely used as thermal heat dispators in other ce products.
I don't see any "pump" in this share price....do you? Not sure what you are talking about.
If you're not a critical thinker, then yes this is the best approach.
“It’s simple don’t watch the news everyday and you’ll be ok;)”
Best advice ever.
It all depends on if the material is publicly announced or not. That is what will drive speculation.
Interesting, thanks - $10.5M US is not chump change. Even 10% of that to LQMT would be quite a bump.

How Are Qmed Suppliers Qualified?
When medical device manufacturers turn to the Qmed directory for help in finding qualified outsource partners, they can trust they’ll be connected with suppliers, service providers, and consultants that meet global standards for good manufacturing practice and quality control, and which have relevant experience in the complex and evolving medtech industry.
In order to be considered for inclusion in the Qmed directory, companies must show qualification through some of the following criteria:
ISO 9001 certification
ISO 13485 certification
CGMP compliance
FDA registration
Demonstrated experience with clients in the medical device or in vitro diagnostics space
So LQMT has met all these requirements - well now that is interesting. Particularly the last requirement...

Not made up....from the Eontec Q&A website. He just didn't state it as such (and should have). It was Eontec's response to an inquiry.
Eon Q&A about 12 hours ago:
Please let me be clear, how many customers are there in liquid metal hinges now? Just tell the quantity without telling the name. This non-violation is not within the scope of confidentiality.
Hello! Thank you for your interest in the company. The company has the ability and strength to produce liquid metal hinge structural parts, last year on the basis of the continuous expansion of the liquid metal market, continue to increase research and development innovation efforts, continue to expand the liquid metal hinge market, so far, the company with more than five well-known customers to establish a cooperative relationship. Investors are invited to pay attention to investment risk and invest rationally. Thank you!
Foxconn will be producing in house. They have had a contact with Eon for 4 years now. Foxconn is not a “supplier”, therefore no leaks. Only leaks come from non-Chinese suppliers to Foxconn.
On what other materials leaks of any other Apple device in the past 3 years are basing this statement on?
There has been no leaks at all. Especially with materials as they are not really a primary concern of Apple fans and leakers. So I would be more surprised of a leak versus no leak. And remember, only about 1% of the earths population even know what this material is. People on this board forget this fact.

Another foldable with a liquid metal hinge...
We all know by now that Li would not have allowed that press release unless it were significant. No need to go down into that rabbit hole with the others...
Depends how the company operates, they may invoice at the time of order or at time of shipping.
The Balance Sheet will show all "orders" even if not invoiced as those are still receivables.
The Income Statement will show the revenue at the time of invoice.
Yes, receivables are booked at the point of invoice, not the receipt of payment.
"it's about mentioning it as a new material" and using the name "Liquidmetal". I will state this again, why would Apple spend $$ to go to court to protect the "Liquidmetal" brand if they have no intention of using it?
You failed to address the question. My reply was to another poster stating that Apple will never use the Liquidmetal name. And my question is then why are they protecting it if they don't care about it and don't plan to use it. Hello?
Then why did Apple protect the Liquidmetal brand against Kang?
Well that would certainly be interesting. But let’s get that BMG midframe for the iPhone out there (publicly) first...
“Gao Hui, manager of the production department of Yihao Company: "We mainly produce liquid metal parts, which are die-cast under vacuum. Their elasticity, corrosion resistance and strength are all better than traditional stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and magnesium alloy. , Zinc alloy is several times more than that."
The person in charge of the enterprise told reporters that vacuum die-casting molding is a special process currently used in the production of liquid metal components. It has the characteristics of high production efficiency and good formability. It is widely used in electronic products, automobiles, industrial products, medical equipment, and aerospace, etc. field.”
Seems clear to me that CE is listed first for industries using Liquidmetal. No doubt about it in this article.

Foldable iPhone coming....
Interesting, they needed to find "the best matched" part for each frame. Indicating that the precision of the machined aluminum frame was not as great as I thought. Aircraft aluminum would be even more difficult for a high precision part. One would think that BMG would solve this problem.
September 14th Release of the rather odd foldable design.
