is working, sorta kinda.

The military has strategic supply. No worries there.
I just read about this, like two days ago. I am not sure why you are bothering to cite sources - this is in the news currently. We need these elements from China and it can be used for leverage. The US does not like that. The bigger question is about our sourcing for finished material and production. All in China.
We had a major international session on this topic about eight years ago - standing room only and still a favorite topic of mine. There are huge safety considerations for mining and smelting rare earth metals and the reason why we don't do it here. They need to develop better methods for extraction and processing that keeps workers safe. Given the US current political view on rare earth metals, funding for researching these technologies may start to flow.
As a side note, I've wondered if our involvement in Afghanistan was for its rare earth metals.
Exactly, and a couple of good reasons why adoption has been slow.
Yep, something seems to be in the works for Eontec and the Asian market. There is always enough info to string an investor along, lol. It’s always wait and see, and to date and years in the making, there has been no “seeing”. I am really at a point where they need to show me the money before I get excited.
... not to mention if no sales in the West, no $$$ for us. But it could be a start if there is any credence to it. I am skeptical to say the least.
It’s really more about “we’ve seen this many times before”. Connecting dots is a pastime for LiquidMetal stock holders. I am an Unicorn for this stock, but for me on this one, I’ll believe it when I see it.
Yes, I have read a number of articles and probably need for somebody to spell out exactly the impact on our company. I don’t see/understand it. Opinions range from “no” to “major” impact. Most articles seem to indicate this hurts us more than China. It’s a confusing mess to me.
Whatever the current situation, from every source I am reading it looks like our government will change again this fall. At my last organization we were never able to bring China in due to IP protection. When the US position was positive, we would start the process and by the time it got to a vote, the position would change back to against inclusion.
Anyway, thanks kindly for the fair warning.
The same as you, trying to take advantage of others due diligence, read latest rumors, and read opinions. It goes full gambit for sure, but after awhile there are certain members that stand out as valuable contributors. I tend to be optimistic, so I do enjoy reading some of the critical posts to keep me balanced.
We have so much cash in hand that it’s not necessary to be scared off and selling your shares at the moment. Just keep in mind that if Prof. Li runs sales through LiquidMetal, he can become a billionaire. He has stated that his intention is to get LQMT back on NASDAQ, the BMG market is estimated at over 30 billion, and we are the industry leader. It’s an emerging material and production technology, but it seems like everything is in place. For me, the next six months will tell the tale.
It certainly makes sense and the manufacturing capacity could be ready. The production patents are in place, and Josh’s rumor references indicate it’s possible. As you may know, I had those rumors stickied for a long time and then took them down. I just can’t believe the use of LiquidMetal hasn’t been leaked and hope that it is the best kept Apple secret ever.
Well thanks, U2. I do understand that investors want to see a significant return, but it’s difficult for me to believe that we wouldn’t know that Apple is using LiquidMetal in products this year. Everything else gets leaked about their products, so why not this?
Next year could be a different story and we would find that out 4QTR after Apple chooses their lineup for 2021. I have always thought the Watch was a great prospect, but Apple Glass is my new hope. I remember some connection Prof. Li has with making frames for glasses, right? BMG would be a great option. Think about their patent for sealing a display to a frame. Think about how it needs to be lightweight, thin, and sturdy. Also think antenna and communication with an iPhone as the Watch Series 1 did when it launched. I can all but guarantee they are testing it, but whether or not it wins over titanium is a wait and see. Titanium frames are pumped out all day long. Glasses are set to be announced Fall of 2021 and sold in 2022 according to rumor. The project has been delayed, which sort of fits something that Josh eluded to. It’s fun to speculate.
I think we should see something from
medical or automotive soon. If 3QTR is still crickets, my view on this company may change.
Perhaps we are the few wise and clever ones? That can be the only reason.
Yep, as if a somebody found out something and had to get in before news leaked or was announced. Perhaps somebody just got a boat load of cash and wanted to roll the dice. It’s impossible to know but interesting nevertheless.
For sure there are more trades happening today than usual, but even at 1.5 million shares traded, it's only $120K in trades. I am looking forward to bigger trading days, over 10 million, and hope that they are coming soon. However, we are still in another Watts summer - dry and thirsty.
Thanks again for sharing.
Yeah, but there wasn’t even a pump! The pump came after it went up. Strange.
No joke! I was busy yesterday and looked at my portfolio last night and was quite surprised.
Thanks Josh. I hope that this writer is correct and we see a significant announcement or revenue soon.
Good news, and thanks for sharing your years of experience for free!
Awesome, thanks so much for sharing.
Hey B2F - what are the stats showing for this week? We seem to be inching upward, well more like millimeter upward. From what I read in the charts, if I understand them, it looks "meh".
Interesting and clever thinking.
Yeah, something is up with Eontec for sure. I am still hoping that Eutectix has some thing for us by 3QTR.
Yep, I had this “stickied” for a long time and took it down. I can’t believe that this wouldn’t have been reported or leaked by now. I think if this is going to happen, it’s going to be next years iPhone.
The rumor is that next year is an all new design. The iPhone 12 is pretty much similar to iPhone 11 as a sandwich design except that the band will hold the antenna like iPhone 4. Of course, it could be the best kept secret of Apple in some time and I’m wrong on that hunch.
Apple picks suppliers in November for the following year’s iPhone. That’s when we should hear something.
I hope you are just posting this as some background information and not taking it seriously. Its questionable that the young Jay Patel has the inside track.
As mentioned before, I have a lot of shares now and not currently buying any. Let’s hope that we can stop reading tea leaves soon.
The “Atlas” of LiquidMetal! Lol.
That could be true. It’s just weird with lots of money at play. Isn’t this unusual for a penny stock? Anyway, I’m in to see what happens. C’mon seven!
Yeah, it’s an unknown for sure. Hence seven cents... daily....monthly. Still, who is holding this up and why?
Ditto. I keep thinking about all the additional machines, though. That’s a lot of expense and capacity for something.
I was just trying to find Apple's supplier list for 2020 but came up empty handed. I found 2019 which doesn't help your case. It would be great to have some kind of confirmation from Apple that they are using LiquidMetal. In my honest opinion, if "The Maze" was gearing up for near-term LQMT production, it would have been leaked or announced by now. I wouldn't rule out next year, but I think this year has already gone by us. The rumors for next year's phone is an all new design, so it's possible.
I still think that something is brewing for this year. The point about the additional BMG mim machines purchased can't be ignored. How it could benefit LQMT I still a mystery, which brings us to....
Seven cents. I still need a logical reason why this has been at seven cents for months.
Right. Seven cents. It hasn’t dropped below that in months. I do believe a second wave of economic downturn is coming, but perhaps not quite as bad due to the new norm of working from home. Companies have also implemented new ways to protect workers.
LQMT is almost as good as a bank at this point - about the same APR, lol.
Exactly. We need verified sales and significant revenue to move this puppy.
My hunch is that somebody is holding this up, as strange as that sounds at seven cents, because something is coming fairly near term, 3 QTR.
Of course, I’ve predicted 3 QTR for the last three or four years, lol. If I remember, Prof. Li was working on frames for glasses, right? Apple is rumored to announce Apple Glass this fall. He also has medical and automotive going. There are at least 90 machines for something, maybe more, and a number of other interesting recent developments.
There is probably time throughout the summer to buy a seven cents. Disclaimer: until we have official news, it’s still a penny, high risk stock. High risk, high reward or total loss. I am still rolling the dice.
Thanks for posting this. Great read. Production technologies continue to develop for new applications. This wave will be a tsunami one day.
Holy cow. Thanks.
If you think the price is being propped up, then why do you think somebody is doing that? That’s an interesting speculation. Somebody is willing to throw in hundreds of thousands of dollars, or more, over the past months to keep the price from falling below seven cents. Somebody with that kind of cash is probably not the village idiot. Anyway, it would be interesting to read your thoughts.
With a $30+ billion estimated market for BMG’s, LiquidMetal is certainly going to get a piece of that. The simple questions for me are when and how much? Nobody has a documented answer.
You know Apple bought the a micro-led company. The rumor is that it will be coming to the Watch and iPad soon.
At least it’s something different than seven cents every day. Whatever the reason, I like it.
It is a big deal when you have a lot of shares.
I’m not sure as can take the excitement after months of seven cents.
It’s nice to see the the green!!
