YOU'RE BACK!!!!! :D :D :D :D
If you were here 3 years, why didn't you sell at .27? or .24? or the high teens? I got in at .028 back in 2013… I would imagine your price should have been similar. Having added, sold, and added again at different times since then my avg is higher now, but I've gotten some money out of it over the years, and even now not super underwater. I gave back a lot of profits, so it feels worse, but it's not been a bad investment, and I still think it has a lot of promise.
EWI will use Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D® system to collect in-process data during the coupon production by training the pyrometer sensor directly above one of the mechanical test coupons. https://ewi.org/eto/wp-content/uploads/2015/amcEWI715/MO_01_Summer_2015_Members_Only.pdf
I don't think it will specify IPQA in terms of our personal product-like: YOU MUST USE PRINTRITE 3D-- BUT- I do think they may require its end result (ex: that whole layer by layer mm2 by mm2 part profile-) which as of now [I think] only we provide.
What if ARMS/BAM are being sold to the gov't (or a gov't?) and that's part of why we had confidential treatment in our Q report? o.O
Thanks! Interesting. Is it good or bad? I mean- are they hiding prices from competing companies, such as Early Adopters, or HW/GE; or something else secret/proprietary? (good, legitimate reasons), or trying to be shady re: Arete-Sigma or some arrangement they've made….
I can't find a link anywhere…. the one on ihub is just blank when I open it…
Had a pretty sweet dream about SGLB and GE last night. It was a Friday, after the trading day. I got back from running an errand and found that GE (not Sigma) had announced something like a 5? 8? million initial contract with us really late-around 3pm, causing our price to go to .09 EOD… and the big news hadn't even totally hit all the wires yet. I was sad because it was 10 after 4 and I hadn't bought more when I wanted, and I knew that Monday would be explosive. lol. Wishful dreaming, right? ;)
Heck yeah! Nice find!!
Gotcha…. thanks for answering my question! :)
I was here last time they hit .27 and the sure as heck didn't have that much in revenue…lol. I think once the contracts TRULY hit (and are confirmed!), this flies even before the rev's appear on the Q reports.
…so all that time JJ talked about 'acoustic' sensors he was barking up the wrong tree? I thought the acoustic info was part of our patent too? Or is that the one Mark and Vivek worked on that's owned by the gov't still?
…so all that time JJ talked about 'acoustic' sensors he was barking up the wrong tree? [I suspected that part- but I did think the acoustic signature info was part of our patent on weld pool monitoring too? Or is that from the patent Mark and Vivek worked on that's owned by the gov't still? Legitimate question- I really don't know…. anybody? If EOS is using Fourier Transforms to bypass patent infringement I am not happy about it. (That's too simple a fix for us not to be doing it, if it really is based on Mark and Vivek's past work).
I am thinking that is the unnamed OEM Mark mentioned in the CC.
Maybe…just quoting Mark from long ago. (Though I do feel encouraged that Intel was also once a 'penny stock'. ;) )
lol @ digital photograph. Are they dumbing it down for advertising purposes? I believe he originally said digital fingerprint, did he not? And it comes out with that big scatterplot image that SGLB shows on some of their demonstrations? Anyway- regardless, it's awesome Godfrey so so openly pumped about us. I've always thought Honeywell was the benevolent big brother, so to speak. (Trust them a lot more than GE- haha. But with Godfrey/HW pumping our name/image, that totally twists GE's arm, so eventually, if we really are in lockstep, they'll have to come out and mention it… especially since if we get integrated in the FAA certification we will literally be the Intel of 3D printing, like Mark envisioned years ago.) :) :) 2016 can't get here fast enough!
Yeah. I wish I'd done that. I didn't think we'd go below .06 so I had a 60 day stop order in from awhile ago that triggered and sold everything. Bought back in mid-5's... Not really much difference there, but hey. I'm good for a bit, though I think if we hit 4's again I'm backing up the truck. My very first SGLB buy ever was back at .028 and it tripled quickly (and later, nine-tupled?) so any time it gets low I always think of that and want more. I didn't have $ free when we hit 4's more recently, though it was an awesome buy-I told a few friends about it- and in a few weeks it was what, .11? I imagine we'll get news before too long. Our news gets better and better each time- one day it'll be the mother lode. Personally, I can't wait to hear who the other secret OEM is Mark mentioned.
I would guess maybe Monday, since it's a holiday week and it'd be dumb to PR right now. IMO.
Phew! Got my shares back plus a little. (I got stopped out at .06)… sort of forgot about it. Back in lower now. That like never happens! (for me). :)
Serious question for those in industry-
Do you know of any companies with a sensor/software system that could measure the angle of rebar as it's coming off the rollers/ cooling? Like whether it was straight enough to be within tolerances- not too curvy/warped? It's not 3D printing, so I don't think Sigma would be the answer…. but maybe the people who provide the sensors we use (Since SGLB uses off the shelf components)? or someone else you guys have heard of?
Yep-I'm seeing tomorrow also. Hopefully we get some good exposure. Bummed that article said nothing about Sigma but at least Additive Industries has been really open about promoting us, and we are their VIP guests.

Anyone know which day Additive Industries presents MetalFab?
Wow, those are some fancy booths! It sounds stupid, but I always pictured things being much more low-key… the two people and a table like you see at conferences and recruitment fairs. haha. I like the sound of "in-process calibration" under Additive Industries. I hope that when they present, the guy says dramatically, "- with In-Process Quality Assurance ® courtesy of Sigma Labs" and like, points to Mark in the VIP guest seat to great audience applause….lol.
I noticed that. I wonder if that's non-cash stock compensation, for the new guys? SGLB doesn't pay that much on salary-- but they do issue stock to employees to compensate for the poor wages. Just a thought-- could be totally off.
That is super reasonable- 100% agree. GE said they were starting with "as many as 10 machines" initially, ramping up over several years.
Not necessarily. They aren't starting with that many initially- didn't Morris or someone say 10 machines to start ramping up to 50 or something over the coming years?
I took it differently…. ….we expect to receive under our engineering consulting agreements, from selling or licensing our PrintRite3D® systems and software, and from offerings of the Company's common stock,?
Does that mean they're planning another offering? :/ It's been awhile, but still. Overall happy with CC- no fear here- just curious after you pulled that quote out.
That's what I heard too :)
Oh hey-Vivek's there. That's good.
Mark expects Additive Industries will be promoting us, and our current and future involvement with them, at Formnext
Conference slide show looks promising. On the Investors part of their webpage, along with webcast.
GE et al still very much in the picture and contract talks with OEMs
We might finally get some of the missing rev's from our various joint agreement/machine deliveries and program deals… i am not 100% sure, but I feel like some of our expected revenues never materialized due to program delays, delivery delays, etc. Plus more contract printing, possibly. I would assume there must be some good revenue news if we're doing all this hiring. Could be wrong and it be more of the same, but here's hoping at any rate. Next Q we ought to start seeing $$ from our Early Adopters and various European endeavors…. I would think. Unfortunately I don't think the next report will be til March. (It's the 10-K, right?)
Oh yeah….sort of forgot about that. We licensed it to or had some sort of agreement with MHTX, I believe. That's good if it's been updated. .. means something is happening, albeit slowly.
Idk… could be win-win-win. Certainly doesn't seem to be any bad blood… I think SGLB is just in the commercialization phase as opposed to strictly R&D, and no reason Vivek shouldn't go make himself useful since he's more scientist (MIT) than businessman…. especially since adoption of ARMS/BAM would benefit everybody, including Sigma. The rest of the IP idk anything about but who knows what other agreements have been made, or whose research contributed? I wouldn't write it off as a bad thing.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with what I just posted about KMI…. sounds like Vivek has a ton of IP going on and if Mark has a hand in it, too, could easily be splits in revenue there. [See the post right before yours]. Or could be something totally different/left field. You haven't missed any news though- no one's posted filings or whatever. Maybe we should search the patent applications?
Wonder about ARMS/BAM, too? Remember Vivek's KMI + Allotrope have been working that angle on the side. (Vivek formed KMI to get a bigger piece of Allotrope's stake, though SGLB's share remains the same. I assume maybe ARMS/BAM were more his brainchild, while Mark's been focusing on PrintRite.) <<Pure speculation on my part, but stranger things have happened. Check out what he has going on….. it's true materials science/ inventor stuff. Pretty neat. http://investorshub.advfn.com/Knowledge-Machine-International-KNMX-29389/
Lol exactly, isn't the 'quiet period' like legally required?
Limits. I have an ok amt of shares, just want more before takeoff. Still off my previous share count highs of 2013…. I'd be happy with even half the shares I once had.
