They can’t sell the company now, they need to rebuild the value and the only way to do that is to have phase II drugs ready to enter a multi billion dollar market with a company that understands sales and marketing.
The way forward…..
Partner all markets and stop these attempts at direct sales. Sign a 3 year agreement for each market, with royalties and minimum sales guarantees. Allow any of the partners to buy up to 10% of the company on the open market.
Use royalties and fees to fund trials and approvals of the once a day version of V and the statin combo.
Once they get FDA approval you sell the company with two potential blockbusters.
First fire all the executives.
Get ready for the onslaught of classless penny message board shorts.
I just hope Denner is ready to jump in and fire these clowns.
I am not sure GV is cheaper than the brand, is there a way to check? GV is more expensive than V on the Amazon website.
Amarin is in a quiet period before earnings and has a history of staying quiet on all fronts until earnings day. It’s a free pass for the market manipulators to short and sell call options they now will be worthless. The share price will recover somewhat after earnings. Whether it goes back to or above $3 is anyone’s guess.
Management sucks and that is the only truth with this company.
I am still at $20 which is a steal for a big pharma but I would have to think hard at $18.
Why I say this is a steal……
They have Evaporate which I believe is enough to convince the FDA to add language on the label for plaque reduction and stabilization. This means anyone who receives a stent should also receive a script for Vascepa. That is for their lifetime. In the US that is huge…
From Reduce It, anyone who suffers a stroke or MI also should have a script.
The wild card is Alzheimer’s and I believe we will see some positive results.
Any big pharma can pull off the change to the label and you better believe they can figure out a way to tweak the formula to rebrand V for use other than high trigs to box out the generics.
We just have morons running the company.
Is this the statement we should make at the shareholders meeting?
It’s like we are all being held hostage by this company and we worry that if we escape we will miss the rescue.
On so many fronts they could be out there providing value…..
Work towards adding Evaporate on the label.
Maybe other reduce it bio markers on the label
How about getting their science officers out and working on interviews for as many publications as they can find. Is it that hard to submit editorials or try to get some of the major newspapers to write an article on V and CVD?
Where are partners for the markets not attractive to big pharma?
At this point they need to be focused on generating sales anyway they can.
It would be nice to see them involved in a few more trials to generate some further buzz on this company. The whole entire management team Sucks!
Time to get the hedge funds involved in moving management to improve shareholder value or replace them. Here is my latest tweet:
$AMRN with #vascepa offers a cheap solution to reduce incidents of CVD/Stroke while lowering healthcare costs. Management does not know how to operate a business. Please Join shareholders to save lives and dump the BOD and Amarin executive staff, @sarissacapital, @BVFinancials
— Medical (@hedgiesinvest) April 25, 2022
Is Sarissa on Twitter? Anyone know the Twitter ids for the top funds that own Amarin? I think it’s time we start tweeting some changes to corporate structure and strategy. The way they are managing this it looks like a takeover by management using the tank under strategy. They just can’t be this dumb.
I suggest anytime we have scientific or outcome data for V that is tweeted we copy @cardionerds. I have been doing this for a few months and even received a retweet. They also have cardionerdsnews. This is a group of comprised of Cardiologists who recently received their medical certification and it’s great to see how they embrace new science.
Nuke, if you are not on Medicare the coupon with Amazon is cheaper than Costco. That cost would be $713 minus $450 or net of $263. This has to be cheaper than the closest OTC fish oil.
I fell for that same price scheme, it is misleading as the price is for 30 capsules. At the daily dose of 4g ( 2g twice per day) the price is:
https://pharmacy.amazon.com/dp/B084BQ1TG1
Vascepa is almost $70 cheaper for a 30 day supply compared to generic.
I would think if Amarin had a similar study of V vs. GV they could use the bio marker data from reduce-it to claim GV is not equivalent and in fact inferior. Marjac might have his class action case…..if you suffered a stroke or MI while taking GV please call our office.
Where is Budoff or Mason with that comparison study?
The difference is in the number of outstanding shares…..Amarin is range bound because of all those free shares handed out over the years. If I am not mistaken it is at least 10% or more of the outstanding shares. It’s harder to move 400m shares compared to a company with 5m.
If I am not mistaken, that is the amount of insurance reimbursement so the full price depends on what the typical copay is in the EU for branded medication.
But the Iranians can tweet death to America or death to Israel, I am so ashamed to say this….these social media companies need some form of regulation or open them up for 1A lawsuits.
I put this out on Twitter again and will repost on Reddit. We need volunteers to post on Facebook, Yahoo and anywhere else you can think of.
Can someone post this link on the Yahoo board?
We need to make sure we keep posting the links on FB, Twitter, Instagram and Reddit. I posted on Twitter and Reddit but the more people that can post the better our chances of reaching more donors.
He is busy working PR for Putin…..
And we can avoid the next mess by just saying No to made in or by China.
I know and it’s an incredible price.
Anyone check the Amazon pharmacy pricing? Only $59 for a 1 month supply versus generic at $79 per month. What happened to the pricing? This is OTC type pricing.
It’s the Alzheimer’s trial that might have caught his interest. There’s been a few articles suggesting O3’s might play a protective role in preventing or delaying the disease. If results are due this January, and it has passed a futility check, there might be something huge on the horizon.
To those that post on Twitter, you should add this group to all your tweets. It’s time to educate the new cardiologists:

The prayer for hopeless causes which I will be saying through 2/11. Sorry if this has already been posted.
Prayer to St. Jude for Lost Causes
To be said when problems arise or when one seems to be deprived of all visible help, or for cases almost despaired of.
Most holy apostle, St. Jude,
faithful servant and friend of Jesus,
the Church honors and invokes you universally,
as the patron of hopeless cases,
of things almost despaired of.
Pray for me,
I am so helpless and alone.
Make use I implore you,
of that particular privilege accorded to you,
to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.
Come to my assistance in this great need
that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven
in all my necessities,
tribulations, and sufferings, particularly –
(Here make your request)
and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.
I promise, O blessed St. Jude,
to be ever mindful of this great favor,
to always honor you as my special and powerful patron,
and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
Amen.
Denner might be looking to gain control to stop them from acquiring another pharma to add to the pipeline, would be really stupid if Amarin. More dilution or cash burn through when they have a pipeline in a pill. I swear I think the entire executive team has ADD. Focus on your product, sales while adding more diseases to V. Why not seek the addition of evaporate to the label and what about any others they found from reduce it. The more they add the longer they can protect V in Europe before the patent fight. Next, why are they so slow with other market deals? File for approval now in markets you want to keep and partner the others. This brings in cash and adds to the valuation.
The combo pill is a blockbuster and insurance will cover if they target a total cost current V plus generic statin. The generics charge insurance companies hundreds for a script and I bet it costs dollars to make.
Then, long term transition is one a day V, or even a trial at higher concentrations.
They have plenty in house to drive value and just need someone to kick or drag them there.
COVID is a bit of a hurdle but that should not stop drug development, regulatory activity and partnerships.
Where do your parents live? I have found that if you look for smaller pharmacies and even the grocery store the prices are lower than CVS and Walgreens. Many have discount coupons and programs supplied by area drug reps that they can apply to the price. If they live in the Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia you can call the pharmacy at Care Connect in McLean Va and they will be happy to quote you free shipping prices.
This is brilliant, he should send it in to Amarin.
A little Marjac magic will create one heck of a short squeeze and I would love to see them get roasted.
Yuck, jelly of the month….. there goes another Christmas without profit to buy an M340…. Maybe the spring if we somehow have a little Marjac magic.
A win will bring a quick buyout offer in my opinion. A big pharma can run up the prescriptions for the CVD indication and before patent expiration, move everyone to the combo or once a day replacement. Amarin can be the gift that keeps on giving ??.
Amarin should file a patent for a combo drug that incorporates the generic version of enbrel with EPA to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s. Even better, use the once a day version of EPA and then start a clinical trial for treating and preventing Alzheimer’s. You will then see Pfizer make a quick offer.

Must be the Chinese manipulating the price in order to load up ahead of Vascepa approval .
I am all for building an internal pipeline off this drug but I would hope they are doing so to build up the buyout value. I am highly skeptical they can make headway in the market place as Amarin. I hope they actually publish a pipeline strategy that will better position them for a buyout and stop just hinting around strategies on conference calls.
If I recall, Amarin claims to have patents pending in both the US and EU that would extend reduce it to 2039. Could this effort if successful negate the newer patents and assuming they are granted.
The strength in GL is still so confusing and I can’t believe that many people are taking it for high Trigs. I think we lose plenty of scripts to GL and believe it’s the pharmacy that mentions it to the patient with the doctor clueless on the difference. Lovazza is hard on the stomach and I bet many don’t continue after the initial switch.
We all know we can raise the money to sue if that happens. I also think Irish companies require higher shareholder approval threshold and since retail owns the majority of shares we can muster enough no votes.
Now, this could be the Chinese buying up a bunch before market approval and I would not rule out a China government buyout. They are looking to dominate biotech.
Do we have any Cardiologists or MDs left on this board? I would be interested in their thoughts on the long term use of Vascepa contributing to improvements in Ejection Fraction.
