Do we believe Apple designers are sitting on their hands? The entire market cap of Samsung is somewhere around $210B. Apple has $137B in cash. I think Apple could be working on something and they may not be telling us.
I'm an Apple "droid" but I would say the only thing the new Apple "visionary" is visualizing is beans being counted. I was at a phone display yesterday and my grandson is more turned on by similarly priced Samsungs. Google's voice recognition on the iPhone makes Siri sound like an idiot. Apple's business model has fallen apart due to recent lack of innovation. At some point soon Mr. Cook will find a lot fewer beans. He better bring it soon or move on.
"Getting hammered on low volume only good news is apple seems to be rebounding can't be good if and when we take off apple is say 200 a share ....lets hope apple rebounds hard"
Thanks, Rain Man!
Roth Capital:
Steipp on mold tolerance: "We shipped 50 parts to an aerospace company and they told us they had never seen 50 parts that were that consistent."
Roth Capital:
Apple agreement thru 2/2014. Open after that (Steipp refers to "free agency")
Roth Capital Presentation:
Medical: Steipp says they've shifted focus from implanted devices (long lead times) to applications outside the body. Good to hear.
Roth Capital Presentation
Interesting line. Steipp has on display a sample kit of "actual parts that came out of the machine untouched." Probably very impressive.
Military and Medical... long time to market. No way around it. Bring on LQMT steak knives, marbles, toothpicks...! We need something now.. ANYTHING!
Bill Johnson, the inventor and professor of materials science at Caltech told me the previous inserts shattered...nothing to do with the method of affixment, as far as I know. I will go with what he said.
There was an explanation here not long ago that the problem was in the method of attaching the LQMT face to the club head- not with the material shattering.
I'll be adding if it drops much.
ARGHHH! What does that mean?
Many of us, while confident in LM's future, are looking for lower not higher. I've been around a little over a year and seen so many false moves against a background of no news.
"We won't get fooled again!" Roger Daltry
A wise old attorney, when I complimented him on his knowledge, said, "Thank you, but I'd rather be lucky than smart ANY day." Same goes for LQMT, I'd rather be lucky on the stock, than smart/right on that issue, lol.
its 790k now
The MM must think they have an audience made up of idiots. Hmm. On second thought, the MM may be correct.
IMO, that is either manipulation, or an order placed by an idiot who is actually killing his/her chance of buying below .082.
YOu have to consider those willing to pay a premium for something "unique" like a liquid metal case.
I know he's the money guy but If Chung's pitch reflects new marketing points it should also include time saved vs. current processes.
Ran across this:
Tony Chung, Las Vegas
Interesting in that he states LM re-launched the golf product and "look to license this technology to a top golf manufacturer and hopefully bring this technology to market the later part of this year or early 2014."
also
"This revolutionary technology allows the alloy to be 2.5 times stronger than titanium and again you can process it like plastics and it does not shrink. These unique characteristics allow us to replace high-end machine parts for 50%- 60% discount off of current prices that customers pay today."
Interesting to see him promote LM as a stronger, better and MUCH LOWER COST alternative.
I'll take all you got at .0001!
This is the "Very Old" Watts.
Yes, but look at the positive side. Even with dilution, most here have so many shares even going to $1 or $2 will make them happy....and that could happen with some news and momentum. I'd be giddy at $2 a share...
Sandy, if this is-true and LQMT-can then WOW!
This is just what they need to prove that they will finally be profitable -REVENUE.
Instead of boasting about prototypes Tom how about boasting about signed contracts and revenue!
Well, one machine in the middle of the room would look a little funny. Might be the reason for not finishing the website right now.
me thinks numbers : 2/4/6 and possibly some form of #7. i personally think Apple has been the ACE IN THE HOLE all along... and Tom and Barney "setting up shop" for an APPLE contract thru VPC.
Thanks. I did it from memory. That's what I was talking about. It's been like that for a long time.
Thanks (rarely)
A question for "4.0" and lesser mortals who gather here. Some of us have given a lot of weight to our certified partner VPC. Without Barney hanging around we probably wouldn't still be here. Why hasn't VPC completed at least a minimum "vpc.com" website?
1. They can't afford it?
2. They aren't looking for clients?
3. They have all the business they can handle right now?
4. The only business they seek is LM and/or Apple?
5. They don't want to show pictures?
6. They have an NDA with Apple?
7. They're prototyping secret DOD products round the clock?
8. They forgot?
9. ... ?
Sometimes have the ultimate, highly reliable, perfect, lasting, and enduring features are not a product objective.....
A question as to whether we make anything on an Apple deal from Materion or Engel. Visser, no (CE products excluded.)
The only new news in Swatch was production by Visser's facility. It probably impacted the run up to the last CC. Unfortunately, right now only Apple can give us a pop. I hope that changes sometime soon.
Pappy, I'm listening but...
Just about every post by the guy contains something to the effect of "I walk in a select group of intellects and the rest of you sub-humans poison the water so please go away." I've pushed back a few times when I got tired of his attacks and drew the wrath of a few in his circle. You guys obviously consider him a protected species. I don't. He deserves what he gets here and he deserves every penny he's lost. We all do.
Watts is restricted to one post per day by Admin. At least that's what he indicated on his last post.
Watts, Give Us All A Break!
There was a poster named ChrisH20 that provided updated pictures of the Visser facility in October '12. The pictures showed big upgrades to the grounds but the number of cars in the lot suggested significant manufacturing hadn't begun. If ChrisH20 is still around it would be great if he drove by the Visser building and gave us an update on any changes there.
My mistake- different blood suckers. We looked at Faruqi & Faruqi.
