Welcome to the club - makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it? Do you get full DL speed, i.e. ~380KB/sec when downloading from a fast server or are you too far from the next exchange?

I agree as I think is obvious from my reply to gold's post
gold-
I don't think it's that many people being so eager to have to return to McD to return the movie. I admit it's convenient but I see it just as another alternative for yet another demographic and not as serious threat for GnF. 35-40 new release movies per kiosk? And just how many copies of each movie does the kiosk hold at any given time. You're there and want a certain one only to find out that they're just out of stock around that time (come back another day...)
gold-
keep in mind that even by end of this year there will not be that many movies out in either format as the industry is just as weary about the format war. So capital risk can be kept low and I'm sure those are the lines JF and Chip are thinking along.
Cheers
Brytex, Bruce,
The home system will not support more than 2GB (4x 512M SDR133) if the system is the one I think it is and the Dimension at work it would depend how many sockets the board supports (2, 3 or 4).
Cheers

I've pasted links to the DELL support site. On this web page under upgrades you'll find a link "Upgrades, Parts & Accessories" which gets you to a list of all their models. I'm a little confused thou because the Optiplex model number you listed does not exist. Your office pc model, however is listed and I followed the link and it states that you have DDR400 memory in the system. You will be able to upgrade to 2x 512MB or 2x 1GB memory sticks for a total of 1GB or 2GB system memory. For the Optiplex model (if the correct model number is GX240) you can buy 2x 512M memory sticks. This is SDR133 memory, however. Dell lists you prices if you want to get it from them (the higher priced model is with ECC support, which for home use you certainly don't need).
Here is the link for the sources:
For Optiplex: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/product_support/en/optiplex
For Dimension:
http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/product_support/en/dimension
Here is a link for onlne retailers that give you the memory quite a bit cheaper:
Dimension 2400:

Optiplex GX240:

Happy B-Day Tina!
what 'ya do all day?
Brytex -
do you know what type of memory you have, SDR, DDR, DDR2 and what the front side bus speed is and what speed grade your mobo supports, what the maximum supported DIMM size per slot is, etc.
You need to know all these things in advance to get the right sticks.

only CC in VT has GnF for a while now (i've posted that already). Did not ask how the sale is going, though. But the display is on an endcap in the video game section and just across the isle from dvd sales.
Will visit Tucson, AZ next week and check out the store there as the rollout is scheduled for June.

I don't really have a price target at the moment given the historical performance and pual will probably agree with me on that - too many unknowns! My entry was based purely on history and my that it'll repeat itself. So I'm not in it for the long haul (at least until several of the ??? are answered reliably)
As to the stuff you listed - I put comments next to your bullets (see below)
- "I feel that it could FLY to the $2-2.5 level within a few months. What do you feel about a $2-3 target?"
: Could very well reach that based on previous behavior although I will settle for $1.50 (most likely)
"There seems to be more than a few indicators that VLXC is headed in the positive direction. Some examples of this are:
Impressive Acquisitions - still information pending
Expansion into Designer Clothing Market - see above
Recent Stock Dividend to Reward Loyal Shareholders - judgement on this only possible with O/S count
Constant Increases in Revenues and Net Income - still to be confirmed via audited financials
Aggressive appearances at Trade Shows in Major Cities - probably the only fact that's undisputed

then you know that AAFES could be months of testing away and I disagree with your interpretation of the "Target" - "No comment" part of the update.
To me it did NOT sound like that was something imminent or even high priority being worked on. But I do agree that things are in the works with other retailers as that was confirmed by Chip and JF. And we will see updates on those in due time. But again, I wouldn't hold my breath for dramatic news and moves in the immediate future (although I wouldn't mind...)
Cheers

only thing pending is an update on the recent aquisition providing more detail like the name, etc.
I wouldn't hold my breath for anything besides that for now. I was and stayed in at 0.80 and wish I had money left when we were down in the low 60s. But only so much I have for stocks like this and all my other money was/is tied up still.

agree with you 100% - slow controlled growth with limited but targeted (no pun intended) advertising is the right way to go. We're not at the point yet where blanket ads are needed to increase subs just a tad because you have saturated the easy reachable markets already. The return of investment on those campaigns usually is not very good.
Cheers

some of those moves are very artificial like the drop of ask and bid after a 35000 share trade at the ask (0.82) and two very small trades ~400 shares still at ask but lower (0.79).
But a trade for about $29,000 is sizeable as single trade (unless its only between MMs).

somebody earlier today or late last night posted that he had mailed a return Tuesday afternoon and it showed up received the same night/early am (1am) as received at GnF. That's only possible via scan. Unfortunately this technology is not available everywhere (or set up everywhere) yet. My shipments take the ususal route and show up typically 2 days later as received and ship out the next day and I receive them two days later (Return Mon, receive Wed, ship Thu, receive home on Sat.
It's been like that ever since they brought the MA DC online - I live in Vermont.

But then again, anybody really listening would have noticed that the O/S was quoted several times and it was stated that the 9bio O/S was only a theoretical w/c scenario possible under the given SB-2.
But who's listening these days when they don't hear right away what they want to hear. Would save some marriages and prevent others in the first place...

they'd have to increase bandwidth in order to do that and as long as it's not commercially viable there's no need to make it more attractive. This is still just an experiment.

BTW I finally found the time and listened to the webcast and must say I found nothing wrong with their attitude. We as shareholders have to realize that the ultimate reward is profitablity and the ensuing pps increase. As early investor you always run the risk of massive dillution but you have to weigh that against the odds of making big profits. So timing is everything (as most the time on these type of investments). Fleming and Gallant are concentrating on exactly the right things and it's mostly daytraders or people expecting overnight success that cause most of the stir as their hopes are disappointed. Did you catch the moment where Fleming seemed to stop himself when talking about the timeframe to profitability, it almost sounded like he wanted to say this year but stopped himself and left it open, and rightfully so as he'd be held accountable making any prediction like that. I myself think that if that indeed is what he thinks might happen he's overly optimistic, sometime in 2007 sounds more like it at least for cash flow positive.
Cheers
I will check out the store in Tucson, AZ next week when I'm visiting. Maybe they're early in June for the rollout.

Did I miss those! Where have you been? I live off of repetition!
Good Morning All,
most all are back from holiday break, it seems...
And Happy Birthday to all members applicable

I'm sure he's expecting growth, otherwise he wouldn't continue this business. But he refers only to proven numbers (historical) therefore this should be considered bare bones minimum revs and your calculations should give you some ideas where revs really will be based on "historical" growth. But one thing to consider is the operating costs will go up as well with increased subs although hopefully not proportional.
Cheers
Somebody is finally buying again, almost gave up on it. Wonder why, though? Maybe update on aquisition?
Cheers
Good Morning Tina and All,
just got on the board myself but will have to rush off to mtgs all morning and afternoon. Hey 40's ain't bad, either. Just gettin' better.
Let's hope for a good day here and better days to come.
Cheers

I bought some more at 0.0057 so missed your formidable 0.0055 buy. Helped averaging down still ways to go. Missed two good sell opportunities in the last two runs due to being in meetings that lasted too long and with the volatility in this stock I missed the peaks big time. I wish I could do this full time from home where I have Power*Etrade with all it's goodies. Here at work all the required streaming data are blocked.
OT: How reliable is TW cable down there. I have Verizon DSL up here and it's awesome. In 3.5 years I had just one incident of downtime on the network side (0.5 days) and one time onthe modem side when lightning struck the power pole next to my house and took it out (was replaced onsite two days later)

hope you're talking about cable/DSL modem and not dialup

how about helping freto to fill his WAG list? He still needs more predictions.

did not reveal much about Rimbaldi except that the ultimate secret was eternal life which Sloan got but for irony he got trapped in a cave with no escape = that'll do. And Vaughn and Sidney settled down in a beach house and had another baby (9 years later) and her daughter had same capabilities as her (opening the path to a sequel)

you mean Tuesday night? Yes, I did

welcome to the club it's all about the memory!!! Good for you (and I know I work for a memory company and build my computers for fun)

again how do you know?!?!

and you know that how?!?
Can't ya leave again tomorrow ?!?!?

you're right, without news or the MMs playing there will be no significant move up. But who knows they certainly had enough volume to accumulate at low levels and could hike the price a bit the next few days. If only we would know...
Cheers
Finished with 15mio volume in last 15mins and this is the first time in a while that we finished with an uptrend at the end of the day on best volume of day
