What institutions?
I know that's what the news says...but who are they? I looked into one of the institutions listed in a previous offering and the address was some run down house in Baltimore.
Everyone always says..."I've done me DD"
And then all these expressions of anger and frustration in social media.
They only raised 12.5 million in December. Look at the losses, in the 3rd quarter for July/Aug/Sept they reported losing just a bit less than 6 million. And with all their PRs talking about expanding or rolling out production of these $1,000 blade glasses....its simple logic to conclude that number is going to grow.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 4th qtr losses of around $8 million, and then probably even more in the 1st qtr of 2018. Unless I've missed it there aren't any PRs announcing any big sales contracts with commitments to large volume orders.
I don't think the company is viable...that's my opinion. But those who do think they'll make a go of it, obviously there's going to be dilution. If the latest M300s sell as well as the old model M100s....then the money they've raised could be gone before the year 2018 is over.
Regardless of my opinion of the long term viability however, that doesn't mean the stock can't keep climbing....but if they do end up going the way of Nortel I hope retail investors leave the ship before it sinks.
I don't get the sell off???
While my own personal opinion is that in the long run...I don't believe Vuzix to be a viable company. That's opinion, and obviously its perfectly acceptable for others to hold the opposite view.
The sell off surprised me somewhat....it seems that the market (ie shareholders) were not happy with the dilution, but it should be expected. Those who have a buy/hold mentality should welcome the cash raise, that's the way I see it.
My opinion that the company isn't viable may end up being right....but if the company doesn't raise cash to keep operating, then they would not have the chance to prove my POV as being wrong.
My latest blog post on the subject:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2018/01/vuzix-shareholders-should-be-thrilled.html
I first looked in Sept 2016...
If share price is all you care about...and you're simply looking to trade in and out of the tips and rips, no worries....VUZI is a great trading stock.
I'm approaching it from a value standpoint, as an investment....lots of stocks have been pumped huge despite lousy bottom line fundamentals, Nortel, Worldcom....even a worthless shell of a company like CYNK went from 5 cents to $20+ on nothing but hype.
But if you're talking about Vuzix like its a solid long term investment...then we have a serious difference of opinion.
Will the gains hold this time?
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2018/01/will-vuzix-hold-its-gains-this-time-vuzi.html
Halted....c'mon news eom
I heard the same rumour....
Taking a flyer, if its true that they're moving to being a blockchain company, then look out above.
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2018/01/glowpoint-inc-buying-rumour-glow.html
You earned that, congrats....
Hope you're able to put some $$$ in the bank here. I'm holding puts, and I'll wait to see what the next filing says. But it might not matter, even if the results are more of the same, investors are jazzed by the possibilities...
Again...congrats, you've earned the right to gloat
Gotta give Vuzix credit....
As a company they're highly accomplished at getting investors excited, and then printng and dumping more and more shares. M100, M300....Blade, they always have a hot new product to flog.
I expect the Blade will be yet another bust, I just wonder how long they can keep it up....the accumulated deficit has to be damn near $100 million now, and the dilution maching just keeps cranking.
When Vuzix finally goes the way of Pets.com Digscents and all those other 'its all about the future' tech blow ups, and imo its strictly a matter of when....the CEO here should have no problem finding work, he could sell sand in the desert...
But then again, he's pulling in a pretty hefty salary....if he's managed his money well he probably will never have to work another day in his life if he chooses. I noticed he didn't risk too much on stock purchases himself....
That was a bust...
You'd think on a day with news out, a Fox Biz interview and volume over 3x the daily average....you'd think a gain of at least 10% might've been in order.
Not that there's any value here, its all about what they might or might not accomplish in the future, and if history is any guide, there's more dilution and losses on the way.
New blog posting, warrants vs shares
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/12/bullish-on-resverlogix-you-may-want-to.html
We have seen this before....
RVX has made big jumps before, although I don't think there's been one this big and this fast in the last 2 to 3 years. Previously jumps have cooled off and volumes have dropped significantly as the PPS has eroded back down....
But I do think this time is different.....we have the AGM tomorrow, the FA is expected to be out any time now, for the first time we have an independent analyst with a very bullish report out.
I even think a Naz listing could be in the cards within the next 6 to 12 months.
News about China? Watch the details....
New Blog posting: http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/12/the-china-connection-pay-attention-to.html
The hardest part of this $0 sum game....
You can't have both the shares, and the money they're worth.....you have to choose. Obviously if BETonMACE succeeds, and then all the other potential indications...if they succeed in all areas who knows what a share could be worth $20, $50....maybe even $100, I don't think even that last figure is out of the questions in another 2 or so years time if everything pans out.
But in the meantime you're looking at a dollar figure that isn't money you can spend. Ah well, its a good problem to have
Next week's AGM will probably be just the usual laundry list, but at least attendees are going to be in a much better mood than they were a month or so back. And who knows....maybe DM will have something of signficiance to announce....the FA would be awesome assuming its positive.
You called me a friend....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I have such a warm fuzzy feeling right now.
$RVXCF Exploding higher, volume still light
Read about a company that just:
-Got a huge investment from a leading Chinese Pharma Co.
-Retired its debt
-Is being called one of Canada's most undervalued Biotechs

Blog post, China has been hot of late...

I would think we'll be seeing another PR when the loan is fully retired, they'll be albe to proclaim themselves as being debt free.

The China connection is an $87 million CDN investment by a leading Chinese Pharmaceutical company, the world's leading supplier of heaprin, that is awaiting regulatory approval which could be announced any day now.

Is the market waking up to BET Inhibition finally?
Resverlogix up 7% today, waiting on China news......
American markets were closed of course, but Resverlogix is a Calgary based company that trades on Canada's big board TSX exchange where it closed at $1.50 today, which would equal $1.18 in USD.
RVXCF is the US symbol so we might be looking at a gap up in the morning...but I could see some fun and games being employed to have it open down. Beacon Securities was on the buy side today, their first buying since putting out a completely independent report with a buy recommendation and $8.55 CDN price target.
Of course if news of China's Shenzhen Hepalink's $87 million investment in the company comes out, then I think it could explode. That news came out over a month ago, but its subject to regulatory approval....
GET 'ER DONE
I just did another post on RVX
With all the attention China is getting right now I can't wait for news to come out on Shenzhen Hepalink's $87 million investment in Resverlogix, it was announced over a month ago and just needs regulatory approval.
Resverlogix trades on Canada's big board TSX with the symbol RVX.TO or in the US with the symbol RVXCF. Here's the link to my Seeking Alpha write up, I've profile a lot of winning plays over the past few years and I think Resverlogix could be my biggest winner yet.

Canadian biotech getting investment from China....
Just waiting on finalization of an $87 million investment by Shezhen Hepalink.

Its like early July all over again....
Lots of news, lots of promoters being paid to bring investors in.
Can you post the link here?
There wasn't a hyperlink in your first post about Beacon's report. TIA
Great find....
Just curious how you were able to share the report, at Beacon its behind a client wall.
It won't get pumped like CYNK did....
But a pump is a pump....enoy.
Some will trade, others will hunker down....
I've sold off about 40% of the shares I bought before the big jump....not everyone is able to sit and watch each and every day all the trading day long, some people still do invest with a buy/hold philosophy, even with speculative stocks like CREG.
Even if the quarterly comes out and is hugely positive...I think we're gonna see a trading range of $5 to $7 intially, and then a trending downward from there.
Thanks....I've follwed CREG for a while
Yes, I do think buyers bought in because they thought it was China Energy Investment, at the start I think that was the overwhelming reason, like 99.9%.
By Friday I think a lot realized "hey, this isn't the company I thought it was, but hell the PPS going to $6, $7, $8....$9+" and some decided...."Well who the frick cares, this thing is going nuts and there's only 8.3 million shares out there in total, and its profitable". Some thought they'd lucked into buying lightening in a bottle.
You're right, they're not "that profitable" but I could give you examples of companies that are diluting pigs, with accumulated deficits around $100 million...that have market capitalizations of $100 million and more.
The only difference? The only one that matters imo is that MMs aren't short shares with those companies, check out VUZI as one example.
New blog posting on CREG....
MMs got hit hard by a lot of buying in a thinly traded stock with an incredibly small float....important to understand their perspective imo:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/11/creg-case-of-blatant-manipulation.html
MMs are in a bind here...this was no pump
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/11/creg-case-of-blatant-manipulation.html
50 million traded Thurs/Fri and only 8.3 million OS
Fun and games......we'll see how our wonderfully (sic) transparent markets handle this.
You're going to have to give me more to go on that that....
I googled the name, he's a SA writer....but I don't see anything by him about VUZI. Something to link? I can't know if I'm ready to agree with someone until I know what they're saying.
Blog post on CREG.....
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/11/china-recyling-energy-corp-creg-end-of.html
Last time I wrote about CREG was in June 16th, after the 1:10 RS. I thought it was being accumulated then. I also think I know the reason for the sudden explosion of the past 2 days....its in the current post.
Looks like I hit the nail on the head.....
Lower revenue than expected and bigger losses....they didn't just miss expectations, they need to change the sheets on the bed:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/11/vuzix-losses-and-accumulated-deficit.html
How big will the losses be this time?
I think its going to be at least as bad as the results for the 2nd quarter, and probably even worse. How long til they're outta money again?
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2017/11/vuzix-expecting-more-bad-results-vuzi.html
